Great summary thanks Mark. I'd have liked to see the Johnny Wallet represented among the best of the best! I managed to get one - I'll never be able to fill it, it's so versatile and easy to use! Lol, I like watching the smell test... Keep up the good work Mark. I found your channel when I was researching wallets, ended up going with the Dango A10. Hopefully I won't be buying another for 10+ years, but I appreciate you maintaining this channel.

Been enjoying my Belroy Slim Sleeve in green since the spring in part due to your honest and thorough reviews. I agree it is just a very functional slim design.
Good to see some of my favorites on here. Bellroy slim sleeve will go down as my favorite all leather wallet, of all time, not just 2020... I'm still using, and loving the hell out of the trayvax contour titanium. It get's a lot of attention from people when I use it, which is strange for a wallet. It just feels so good in the hand, the build quality is excellent, and it's expensive, which I love, haha!
Thanks Erik, great to see you again and I agree, both are my favorite and will likely stay that way. Once I have a few more years on the channel we'll do a top of the past 5 years, etc. 😀 I'm expecting those two to be there for the long haul.
Thanks for your comments. I bought a Bellroy slim sleeve, but the leather doesn't seem as good a quality as others. How has it held up for you over time? Any problems with the stitching?
@@hepgeoff leather quality is good, it's just thin. It held up great for 2 years, now my 12 year old daughter uses it to keep her few dollar allowance and some pictures in 🤣. I'm still using the contour with no plans to switch. It's a fantastic wallet...
Love the videos, I picked up the port wallet and have been loving it and waiting for the gun deck QuickDraw to come in tomorrow. Glad to see the Tauruscamp grain in here, I’m interested in picking that up. Keep it up
My wallet got stolen recently, I’ve never actually purchased a wallet my entire adult life. I decided I’d get something nice. I went with the bellroy slim sleeve. Thank you for your help kind sir.

Another great video! Hope you will make a video of that type for when you travel like you say. I not use coins and now cash too much at home but when travel, i usually use cash and coins and only need 3 or 4 cards. Looking forward to your nexts videos!
Thanks for the video. Are you able to add cards and cash to the wallets to get a better visual of how it would actually look? The Xsto was hard to imagine with cards
Love the channel! Great reviews. Never had a minimalist before but ready to make the change. Trying to decide between the dango a10 vs xsto....which would you go for between these two?
Just found your channel and really enjoy the content. Decided to purchase the Allett Leather from your review. Thin, sturdy, and provides loads of storage space was very noticeable. Plan on putting in one of the Slim Tiles to help with my memory issues. I tried going the minimalist route for awhile but got tired of juggling cards and dealing with origami folded cash so back to more of a classic style. If the Allett doesn't work out I'll try out the Port next. Looks to be the most rugged of the leather wallets on your list.
Thanks for having a great channel. been using a slim wallet tivek , first one lasted 3 years, second on months. Looking at the ridge or trayvex thanks.
Great videos as always, keep them coming! I really like the simplicity and looks of the Wingback Winston. Comparing it with another slim bifold you reviewed last year, the Dela Nora, which do you prefer between the two?
Honestly, I will always love checking out new wallets, but I don’t ever see myself getting anything else after owning the Stow. In my opinion it’s the perfect wallet. It holds a lot more than it advertises and the quality is top notch. No gimmicks, no extra parts to worry about. It just simply works.
This may sound blasphemous but in regards to Hell-Bent; carry the wallet and clip separately in different pockets so it’s like you have two slim wallets, one for cards and one for cash?
@@walletopia Haha, I actually bought one of the wallets on this list! Needed something nice but didnt really have any understanding of the industry! I was split between the houbei and the Bellroy, but I ultimately liked the look of the Bellroy more (even though I wanted to support someone from the US haha)! Also the Bellroy already has like a month and a half to arrive and the Houbei has like 2 and a half months haha. So yeah thanks for the video, I actually believe it or not found your channel through a tech reviewer channel that I randomly stumbled upon! He said to check you out, funny how things work on the internet!
Mark, do you take the need to fold bills once to fit them into a wallet as a “minus” when grading its “Usability” factor? It is certainly less convenient to store and pick up notes, as you need to unfold them and flip through them all, no?
No, no matter how many time you need to fold cash I don’t demerit the wallet for it. Some people don’t find the need to fold cash a problem so I don’t measure that.
@@walletopia Hm, I see. For me, it’s a speed/practicality thing: if you have bills of 20, 10 and 5 dollars and want to reach for one of the 10 dollar bills in the middle, you can do so instantly in wallets where they lie flat, whilst, in wallets where they are folded, you need to pick all of them up, unfold everything, shuffle through the bills, pull one out and then fold them again, which takes far longer. I see why that may be nitpicky, but in my books that’s a big plus in Usability for wallets where you can store your bills flat. Sure, usually those ones will be larger and bulkier and could lose some points there- but there are exceptions, the Abrasus Small, and that’s what makes it so special!
@@xcd87 Agreed. That’s why I think the Abrasus Small is so great: it is tinier than most minimalist wallets I’ve seen, and yet it stores bills laying flat AND coins!
The Big Finn by the Lost Dutchman. Handmade in the U.S.A, can carry at least 12 cards and 10 banknotes folded in half. Can be customized to fit bigger currencies (mine were). Lots of colors of leather and thread to choose from. Please do a review on it in 2021! It's really beauty and the beast.
The Contour by Travax beats the xsto. The Xsto always damanged the corners of my cards. Also you are limeted to the size you pick. The contour being adjustable plus no card damage makes it a win in my book!
Came here on recommendation from another channel. Never seen some of these metal wallets before, cannot believe you didn't demonstrate how they work as you were talking! I'm still clueless after watching this.
Sorry man, each of these wallets has an individual review so we don’t do the deep dives in the TOP videos. So if you’re interested in a particular one of these, there’s a full review available.
I love my Dango A10. For everyday super slim carry just the a10. When I'm shopping I attach the single pocket for my credit card and attach the money clip for cash. On days with important meetings at work I attach the bifold pen wallet. Everday I'm like so glad I bought the wallet.
Love your review but moving and flipping the wallets around rapidly makes it hard to see what they're really like. I can get around that by stopping playback to have a proper look. Maybe it's just me hut slower hand movements may help.
Hello Mark. I really like all your wallet reviews. It's really full of information that super useful in making buying decisions. Could you please make a lot more reviews on a minimalist long bifold wallet where you don't need to actually fold your cash? For example, Abrasus Slim's long wallet. Please, Mark. it will give me great information on making the decision to buy one.
Happy to see the Bellroy Note Sleeve made it into your Top 10, I was looking into getting that wallet. You question the leather quality for durability it seems. Do you have any recommendations for a wallet that is identical to the Bellroy Note Sleeve, just better quality?
I'm still on the fence regarding Bellroy leather. They've proven with other offerings like the Designer series that they can use higher weighted leather just fine in the design, but with their regular offering, I hear both good and troublesome stories on the leather. Within the Top 10 we have a great option with the Wingback Winston. It's virtually the same footprint, but with a higher quality leather and finish.
New to your channel! Anyways, I really recommend this company called Orox Leather from Portland Oregon. Their bifold wallet is arguably best wallet I’ve ever carried. I carried it for 3 years straight and it has aged beautifully and suprisingly the footprint is pretty small once you break it in.
First... So glad to find your channel. It's very informative. What are your thoughts on the Swanfield from Carl Friedrik vs some of the other wallets in your top 10? Thanks!
Quality on the Swanfield is amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone interested. The only reason it didn't make my personal Top 10 is only because it fell outside the top 10, otherwise, I really do like and would carry that wallet.
@@walletopia Thank you for the comment and opinion on the Swanfield. I plan on getting a new daily wallet and this one so far is in the top of my list!
I got a leather Roots wallet a couple of years ago and I love it. Paid a little under a hundred bucks for it and it's perfect for me, just a nice black quality leather wallet, nothing fancy, not too thick and looks good
Have you ever done Pioneer Wallets? Thinking of getting their bi-fold. It has a Ten Year warranty. Looks nice. I think I have seen all of your reviews but I can't remember Pioneer. What are your thoughts.
We’ve reviewed three and have a couple more in inventory. I think they’re very innovative with their material and they are durable. You can find the review play list here: ua-cam.com/play/PLsvX5b_bbfv8COFljuSXwXU1A6vnatf93.html
Cool list. I wonder how many of these would make it to a "top 10 regardless of price" revamp? Of those I haven't seen in person, I am most attracted to the Open Seas Houbei and Akeeni XSTO (on opposite ends, pretty much!)
Happy you caught that 😂. It all seems to come through trial and error. Although, Trayvax has an excellent support forum space where they talk about everything that goes on with their products, one of the few vendors who do that well.
Dear Walletopia, Sometime next year, could you please review a wallet by Willow Craft Goods called the 'Luxe Quick Access'. I just got mine and I think it's superb.
Out of curiosity, how do you carry your coins? I live in Europe and have a locally made leather bifold with a coin holder inside. And this is the only reason I haven't changed to the rigid slim wallets.
I'll carry a coin capable wallet when I travel outside the US. Personally, I don't like carrying coins in my pocket, but do like a space in my wallet where coins are housed naturally and not trying to make them work in a space not suited for coins.
I am traviling to Africa. Many countries are cash only economies ( I cant use my visa cards in a place like the Sudan where i am going). . I have to carry cash with me. Plannning to carry 3k . what wallet do you recommend?
I have the STOW and it’s the best wallet I’ve ever owned. Never had an awkward experience trying to quickly pull out a card and drop it back in from where ever it is in the deck. I can also leave my motorcycle gloves on with no issues. Pulling business cards and Money is just as easy!
They're both great so the main feature between them how they carry cash. If you carry cash and use it every day, then the Houbei would be better due to the cash wrap. If cash is secondary to you then the Tauruscamp could be better.
For me, that decision would come down to how you like to carry your cash. If you like the cash wrap arrangement, then the Houbei is great, if you're okay with folding your cash once then the Tauruscamp would work great too. The other consideration is the Houbei has a quick access card slot on the exterior.
I had an issue with this wallet when it arrived. The company stripped 2 screws during assembly. It made it had to get the screw out to change the face plate. I contacted the company and they said since I damaged the face plate (despite them being the reason) and not sending it in, they wouldn’t honor anything. No support phone number makes them seem shady too.
@@walletopia did this wallet ever have and sticky stuff on it and is the money clip gard to put money in on yours and i do hate how its feels somewhat breakablr
Thanks. I enjoyed your video. I would like offer a little constructive criticism. I would’ve like to see the wallets full of cards and cash. Some of those wallets are hard to picture how they function as a wallet.
It's a bit of what you like and don't like between them. With the D01 your cash will be stored in the strap, exposed. With the A10 it can fit in the cavity under the top slider. Otherwise, they're very close in functionality
Excelente Channel....just sub.....Thanks for the info I will buy a Bellroy wallet. One little thing only....the over the head close ups I think you maybee move a little to much the wallets. But again...really like your content.

I like the Allett wallet because it hold lots and lots of cards (I have lots and lots of cards) and a deep pocket to keep my cash safe. And I carry my wallet in my front pocket, so the large size isn't a problem for me.

The Contour by Travax beats the xsto. The Xsto always damanged the corners of my cards. Also you are limeted to the size you pick. The contour being adjustable plus no card damage makes it a win in my book!
Dango > trayvax
Got the Open Seas Topsides Quick Draw a few months ago. Incredible. Best wallet I’ve ever used.
Great to hear!
Can you provide a size and more importantly, thickness comparison of grain taurescamp, the open seas topsides bifold, and the bellow note sleeve?
Great video Mark....I never considered myself a walletopian before but I so am. Memory lane watching these again .Take care Mark from the UK .
Thanks, you too!
I love my Dango A10. For everyday super slim carry just the a10. When I'm shopping I attach the single pocket for my credit card and attach the money clip for cash. On days with important meetings at work I attach the bifold pen wallet. Everday I'm like so glad I bought the wallet.
Excellent! I do love the adaptability of this wallet for those reasons.
Love your review but moving and flipping the wallets around rapidly makes it hard to see what they're really like. I can get around that by stopping playback to have a proper look.
Maybe it's just me hut slower hand movements may help.
Thanks Paul, yes I’ve had similar comments, I’m trying to move more deliberate with the wallet movement, but you’ll still find some :)
My Bellroy Slim Sleeve is by far the best wallet I've EVER used.
Glad you like them! Yes, we'll take a look at the Abrasus. Any other wallets like that one you're interested in?
The Wingback is really well designed, especially for production cost. Nice group of wallets.
Thanks!
I have had my bellroy since 2015 and it has held up well, including a recent unplanned trip into the washing machine.
which would work best for back pocket carry
Any of them except the metal wallets, those would be uncomfortable.
Paid a little under a hundred bucks for it and it's perfect for me, just a nice black quality leather wallet, nothing fancy, not too thick and looks good
Great! Which wallet?
Mark, have you reviewed the “Trihold” Tri-fold wallet?
Hmm, with such a generic name do you have a URL?
It's very interesting and I'm thinking of publishing a permanent ranking that takes price out of it.
@@walletopia I would love it if you would do such a permanent ranking! Love it already, thanks for what you do.
Hey Mark, which do you like better..
The bellroy slim
Or
The wingback winston??
I would choose the Winston due to quality construction, simple construction while still being functional.
I have a stow wallet, been with it for about 3 years now and if I ever decide to get another wallet I'll be sure to check out your channel again
What's the wallet that can't be teared?no splitting no cracking
That "mental application" needed for the Trayvax, where do I download it from? 😉
Great year summary video.
Happy you caught that 😂. It all seems to come through trial and error. Although, Trayvax has an excellent support forum space where they talk about everything that goes on with their products, one of the few vendors who do that well.
Randomly popped up in my recommendation but a wallet i would HIGHLY recommend is the Suprgood Wallet, minimal, great quality and fairly priced.
Thanks Kevin, welcome to the channel! I have a Suprgood 3 Flop wallet review coming up. We also have their Flip wallet in inventory.
It truly is an excellent wallet.
Got an Allett bifold thanks to you, really nice wallet, thank you!
Great to hear, thanks!
You should review the minimalist wallet from RAE gear
what is a good elastic wallet thats both durable and dont hurt cards and hold a good amount?
Between the taurus camp and the open sea wallets, which one would you choose? I'm still deciding between them
They're both great so the main feature between them how they carry cash. If you carry cash and use it every day, then the Houbei would be better due to the cash wrap. If cash is secondary to you then the Tauruscamp could be better.
@@walletopia thank you so much!
Can you do review nivisto he have shop in etsy front pocket wallet
We'll take a look!
I can’t decide between the Tauruscamp ant the Houbei what can you recommend....anyway nice review.
For me, that decision would come down to how you like to carry your cash. If you like the cash wrap arrangement, then the Houbei is great, if you're okay with folding your cash once then the Tauruscamp would work great too. The other consideration is the Houbei has a quick access card slot on the exterior.
@@walletopia thanks for the tip.big help...
So my current wallet didn't make the top ten...no worries! I wouldn't have found the Focx Accountant without your channel!
Thanks Mark. Yes, everyone has a wallet (or more) that works well for them. I’m glad I’m not the gauge for everyone’s purchase patterns 😂
Is the flipside 4 actually good?
As a hard sided wallet, which there are only a few, it does the job.
@@walletopia did this wallet ever have and sticky stuff on it and is the money clip gard to put money in on yours and i do hate how its feels somewhat breakablr
@@pepe-nf9jy No, no sticky stuff. The exterior band is a bit "grippy", but not sticky and on the interior it was all smooth on mine.
@@walletopia i had a random adhesive on it i wish to know what it was i know you prob wouldnt know
Thanks. I enjoyed your video. I would like offer a little constructive criticism. I would’ve like to see the wallets full of cards and cash. Some of those wallets are hard to picture how they function as a wallet.
Thanks Rivi, I purposely don't do that as I did those more detailed pieces in the individual reviews and don't want to take more time than necessary.
Hi,
Whats the best travel wallet for a guy?
Thank you :)
Would you recommend the dango a10 bifold over the dango d01 bifold? Is it worth the extra cost?
It's a bit of what you like and don't like between them. With the D01 your cash will be stored in the strap, exposed. With the A10 it can fit in the cavity under the top slider. Otherwise, they're very close in functionality
@@walletopia ok awesome, thanks for the reply!
Excelente Channel....just sub.....Thanks for the info I will buy a Bellroy wallet. One little thing only....the over the head close ups I think you maybee move a little to much the wallets. But again...really like your content.
Thanks Ariel, I've noticed that too, too jerky and too much twiddling. I'm working on that!
Great content!
Thanks!
Was thinking the Carl Friedrik swanfield would have made the top 10. Your review of it lead me to purchase it and I enjoy it very much
It’s a great wallet but for me it fell just outside my top 10
@@walletopia understandable, there’s a lot of great wallets out there !
@@marcoromano3973 the more wallets I review, the more excellent wallets I find. There aren't many that are totally useless so it depends on personal preference and most will meet most basic needs.
@@walletopia perfectly said !👌🏻
How have I not seen this channel before, you have a sub from me!
Welcome!
Can you do a review on the L-Fold Wallet from TUMI?
WOW A WALLET CHANNEL!
Welcome Tommy! Settle in and immerse yourself in all that are wallets!😀
@@walletopia i thought about getting the fantom wallet
I like the Allett wallet because it hold lots and lots of cards (I have lots and lots of cards) and a deep pocket to keep my cash safe.
And I carry my wallet in my front pocket, so the large size isn't a problem for me.
What you describe makes you the PERFECT customer for this wallet, it's amazing!
@@walletopia I just ordered one from Amazon after I posted that comment yesterday. Thanks for the review video!
I got the Rossum carbon fiber minimalist wallet it works perfectly for me those are nice selections wallets though
Bought a trayvax contour and love it
Great choice!
Please help ,I ordered the znap, 12 card holder from Amazon, they keep sending me the znap 8 the 1st one I didn't send back because I needed it so bad 😢 now I sending in my order and again Amazon, all they have to do is look on the back, the very 1st number tells you if 8 or 12
can't they read, please explain this to Amazon I 'also had my daughter order it for me please show this on your next video thank you
Mark can you review the Taxi Wallet by Alecia Klein?
Love it! I had totally forgotten about taxi wallets, this one looks great! I picked it up and added your vote to it!
Where these wallets are made?
Each has a stand-alone review which goes into details.
Yeah boiiiis!
Grrr the one i just bought yesterday is not on this list 🙈🙈🙈 wish I do more research before i buy. 😞
Whoa there! This is just the top of what I like personally, but there are MANY other great wallets outside this list. What wallet did you get?
I can back up the claim for Trove wallet bend. I got the Trove Cash wrap. I LOVE IT. But it bends my cards! Such a frustration because i genuinely love it, except for the bending part. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect-10 wallet
Thanks for sharing!!
Thankyou 😁
I do the smell test every time I get something new!
