Hot take, mida multitool should be like hard light, but instead of elements, it cycles between each of the champion modifiers.
Dude that's a fun idea. I'm surprised I've never seen anyone else suggest this.
I’d like that, but considering they don’t even want anti barrier to work with conditional finality, and the exotic stasis scout, they aren’t gonna let us have an all in one champion weapon.
@@alexcox9400It's a 200 scout. I don't think bungie's gonna care
@@alexcox9400Honestly it’ll still be so niche afterwards I doubt it would change the meta in any meaningful way, however I agree that bungie probably wouldn’t do that.
@@revolvingzyclon6901they care with a 180. it’s only 20 rpm
I appreciate you putting a summarization in the thumbnail, it makes me feel a bit more respected in a world of clickbait and viewer retention optimizing
0:30 Choir of One
1:21 Huckleberry
2:47 Tarrabah
4:40 Symmetry
5:41 Duality
6:53 Bad Juju
8:45 Ex Diris
10:31 Fighting Lion
11:21 The Prospector
12:45 The Chaperone
It might not be the outright best, but Bad Juju, skull and 400 nova bombs is the most fun I've had in quite a few seasons
I've also been rocking this in onslaught and had a lot of fun, looking to get a velocity baton with attrition orbs to also slap on the loadout to fully overkill on super generation
Throwback to the D1 Energy Drain Voidlock build
Tried this myself and it's ridiculous. Used Altars of Sorrow as my testing ground, and I could super every 30 seconds. Absolutlely insane.
I’ve been using it in solo Vespers Host and it does work
Being able to use nova constantly for add clear while ensuring you’ll have one for dps is so helpful
its crazy how a wepon that just gives out free super energy, reloading, damage, and explosions is somehow not the best thing on the planet
I know people have forgotten about it, but The Manticore pairs perfectly with peacekeepers. it comes with A) A ~40% damage boost when you're shooting in the air B) If you're either laying into a meaty target or clearing adds the gun has automatic bullet regen so you can get mags that feel like they're 2-3x the normal size and C) when you're in the air, you get a constantly refreshing overshield and enemies have an accuracy penalty against you.
On Void titan, you get the constant overshield, which can give you grenade spam, which can suppress/weaken everything, and then mow them down with The Manticore for more overshield. Bonus points for volatile rounds. And if you fly high enough, you stay out of the way of your teammates using rocket and grenade launchers.
It's definitely a big boost for that gun. I still think Huck surpasses it though--stuff can't kill you if it's dead. Reminder that Void Overshield DR got buffed btw, a full bar is like 150 effective health now
just a horrible playstyle sadly
Manticore is the most frustrating thing in the game for me. I love smgs. I love void overshields (im always on void hunter using repulser brace). I love how it looks. Its pretty strong. I like how it sounds.
The one downside that kills the entire weapon for me, is it just feels miserable to use. Absolutely awful. You're stuck in the air all the time, moving slower, having less cover, taking more damage from modifiers like grounded, etc. The alt reload to drop is nice, but the fact that it has an animation makes it feel so terrible. I often have to reload the gun, then alt reload to drop down, making it feel like it takes dreadfully long to reload. Or I want to drop out of the air but I'm stuck in another animation so I just keep on floating. It also can sometimes activate when you dont want it to. Shooting while walking down stairs or on uneven ground? Have fun floating all of a sudden.
I want to use this thing so bad. It would fit into my favorite builds so perfectly. It just feels miserable to use. I genuinely think that if I could just press crouch to drop down from floating, with no animation or anything, I would love this gun.
@@shank8120 you can tap the jump button to immediately drop.
@@shank8120swapping weapons also immediately drops you down
Holy cute, Brim just hugging you during the Huckleberry part.
The Bad Juju glowup is insane. I only wish they'd replace the hip-fire grip perk explanation (keep it baked into the gun) with a perk explaining the explosions. Seems a bit silly now to not talk about such an obvious feature.
Get 3 kills without manually reloading the weapon for the explosion, this INCLUDES the explosion so you can get 3 kills, the explosion kills another (4) so now you only need 2 more kills for the next explosion.
@@gengarclefairy3475 sometimes the explosion can kill those 3 enemies and cause another explosion, only to end up in a chain reaction
it's so fuckin cool lol
It feels good to be using Huckleberry again. I'm close to 100k kills on my original one.
Tbh it never was bad, the buff together with the peacekeeper buff just made people realize that the weapon actually exist
They didn't call it the fucklberry for nothing
huck enjoyers rise up
@@Jereb343They need an adult youtube.
So less juvenile comments hopefully.
Using any gun that much is brain rot
The Juj and Skull combo is so much fun to play with. Even mindlessly playing strikes you're out there slingin' Novas like Oprah.
I want to give a huge shout out to Salvation's Grip. It actually got reworked to not be a complete meme a long time ago, but I finally decided to use it again because of the Stasis-focused artifact this episode and the new catalyst. I've been using it in Onslaught to lock down enemy spawns, and a well-placed charged shot at a boss' feet will usually shatter a ton of crystals instantly for some hefty damage. It also destroys Cabal tanks and Fallen walkers insanely fast, similar to Dragon's Breath ignitions a while back.
this this THIS. Salvation's Grip is so much fun to use, and it's actually a decent damage weapon in low to mid tier stuff. Love it!
It probably does really well against the new Servitor boss, right?
@@life-destiny1196 It might! I had that idea as well, but I haven’t tried it yet since the heavy wave frames are so good.
as someone who is a big fighting lion enjoyer: yeah it probably won't sell people who don't care about it, but I LOVE the buff. volatile explosions count as damage from a non-fighting-lion source, so you can get the gun to reload itself if you blow up big crowds much more easily
Last Word kept the 30% damage buff for PVE. Paired with Lucky pants is a beast.
Even without lucky pants it's soo great to one shot kill red bars in master level content ,no to mention lucky pants is soo much easier to use great rework
I've been using Ex Diris as a primary. It's especially great in onslaught. If enemies are clustered at all, it shreds the group, combined with this season's perks, it just feels good.
Rework idea for symmetry: it’s hip fire mode is baked into the gun and doesn’t need a switch over so when you charge hits all you have to do is unscope and unload.
Prospector is a LOT of fun, but its VERY easy to accidentally blow yourself up as is natural with most explosives
Prospector turned glide into a must
The Fighting Lion improvement wasn't for new people to use the weapon. It was treat to the dedicated fans. And it is amazing.
It is so fricking good with the new exotic chest plate for the warlock
0:49 there was a Tweet from bungie team and designer and in the twab that the hip fire shot was supposed to be only nerfed while a dev cag is on the target not in general use
I really liked when last season enabled the use of kinetic weapons, I never see a reason to use them without the season perks
Bungie missed an opportunity in not giving the Peacekeepers a Tex Mechanica themed ornament. I mean the term Peacekeeper is what they used to call Sheriffs and Rangers back in the Wild West.
Bungie has still not designed a encounter that can let huckleberry stretch its legs, there's simply not enough enemies to keep it alive when fully spun up
Hydroponics delta was the first place i tested it on peacekeepers and sheesh it shredded through there. Excited to try it in more close-range GMs when they come up. Sucks we didn't have this last season for the Liminality GM cuz that would've been the perfect place to use it.
Ive been doing the Second Encounter of Vespr's with my Huckleberry/Peacekeepers Prismatic build and it absolutely shreds everything in the lower room without having to reload
Very off topic, but that segment where you're playing Onslaught and your dog is curled up in your lap is one of the cutest things I think I've ever seen. I am a dog dad and am extremely jealous 🤣
The ex/mothkeepers hunter build going to go crazy for haunted lost sectors
I think Kinetic Tremors should cause a single tremor on kill with like a three to five second cooldown between activations with no effect on how often the tremors from sustained damage can be activated.
I think an easy change they could make for Symmetry that would help the uptime is that kills while in the alternate fire mode give you stacks of the perk when you swap back to the normal fire mode. That makes it so that the first build up to max stacks still takes a while for PvP, but once you get max stacks it increases the overall uptime you get from max stacks in PvE.
I highly encourage peacekeeper titans to try manticore on void titan with controlled demo + offensive bulwark. the volatile rounds get superbuffed by expulsion and controlled demo, and the free overshields from manticore keep your grenade cooldown ticking, on top of the fact that manticore having a built in 100% damage bonus and a mag refill while in the air makes it really good with peacekeepers, even if not on sentinel
Dude... I'm having visions of trying this on Vesper's final boss...
@@Sin526 it’s pretty alright there, although the point of it is invalidated if you have someone running well
You can no longer send yourself to space with Prospector. 0/10 Exotic.
Cant have shit in detroit man
Been playing a lot with that Bad Juju build you mentioned, the explosion is definitely based on kills. It activates every 3 kills and kills with the explosion itself count towards the trigger, so it you manage to get 3 kills with the explosion you can trigger a second one. Absolutely loving this build for the 2nd encounter in the dungeon so I can have my super up every wave for the priest! Been loving this whole build for general content as well!
Bad juju also got its mag raised, it’s so good now, also the explosion cooldown after some testing seems to be random.
I think every fourth kill will explode
They need to buff volatile to work more like ignitions (ie different sources make the explosion do different damages). Void warlock melee feels awful when all it does is made completely obsolete by a FRAGMENT. It would make the none volatile rounds sources of volatile feel useable while not making volatile rounds insane.
A real throwback, but Fighting Lion was the go-to way to do the Wendigo grenade launcher "pinnacle" quest quickly.
Kinetic tremors is nice to help stun barriers. Proccing it helps keep the champion from bubbling. Its nice for when there is a lot of trash around you have to deal with
Bad juju feels fantastic right now and Huckleberry is fire. Also last word slaps in PVE❤
They got to give kinetic weapons the extra damage back. I find very little reason to run. Especially since I don't run prism a lot.
Honestly Prospector is such an easy option that it’s worth using if you whiff shots or don’t always nail your BnS proc. I was pleased with how it performed yesterday
9:20 thought that was an R2D2 effect for a second lmao
Sneaking in symmetry in the thumbnail. I see you Datto, keep pushing the agenda 🙏🙏
symmetry is much better for gambit now since it stacks up so much faster and allows you to kill invaders or even just invade alot more frequently
i believe juju explodes every 3 rapid kills, and kills with explosions count towards this, meaning you could have a chain reaction like necrochasm. the only requirement is that you cant have reloaded before getting 3 kills.
as for fighting lion- its incredible paired with the new stasis turret exotic- rather than sitting in your domain with a stasis weapon, take facet of command and throw the turrets at clusters of enemies or spawn points and they will be frozen and also 'grenade affected' meaning the fighting lion never has to reload (as this is apparently an intrinsic trait i never knew about til this glowup) all the while making everything volatile. super fun build especially in onslaught.
Imagine how strong Jez will be with an improved Chaperone in PVE tho.
My Understanding is that Ex-Diris didn't actually get the damage buff it was expected to get. It gets a damage buff that puts it above rocket sidearms it'll be truly great.
His dog sleeping on him in the clips oh my god 😭💕
I would love shotguns getting 15-25 more shots. I feel like they don’t have enough
Really been loving fighting lion with spirit of gyrfalcon and spirit of foetracer. Also the artifact perk this season that gives devour on void breaches and weaken while you have devour active make this combo especially strong
Im a huge huckleberry simp, its absolutely fantastic. As an exotic primary built with prismatic in mind i get my transcendence STUPID quickly and its awesome
They should get rid of the timer for Symmetry's revolution rounds and just give you flat 20 rounds of revolution rounds. Plus even with the timer I don't think you can fire off all 20 rounds. Get rid of timer and give the rounds either jolt or blinding effect and it's immediately back in the game
Built an Arc hunter around Prospector for the first time ever to take advantage of some of the Seasonal Artifact perks and it absolutely destroys casual content. 1.4k elims, 300+ orbs in Onslaught nearly every time
Haven't really played with any of the buffed guns this episode, Witherhoard and Alethonym have been strapped to my loadout for the majority of the episode with them only coming off for testing damage in the dungeon with Still Hunt, Levi's Breath and Parasite
the skull of dire ahamkara buff is so nice for my void build. i was using a thresh the enigma with mantle of battle harmony but now i don’t have to be limited to a void weapon, i just need devour. you can use juju, you can use thresh weapons, and you can use any of the pale heart weapons with dealers choice. the build feels less restricted weapons wise now, and the super regen feels more or less the same speed.
I've been loving Ex Diris this episode, and it works really well with the artifact and the new envious arsenal/BnS arc GL. Double arc Gls, only 1 hit to proc, once you're out of heavy ammo it absolutely slaps
I've been using the hell out of chaperone this season because of anti-barrier shotguns and the scaling damage feels very nice
big juju fan here, i'm pretty sure the original easter egg explosion is different than the explosions it triggers now every 3 kills, at the very least they have different sounds effects. the 145 kill explosion has this high pitched sound when it goes off while the 3 kill one doesn't. not sure how damage/radius is changed if it all, i'm assuming it is though
Bad Juju is actually kill based with no timer between kills! its 3 kills, and kills with the explosion can trigger the explosion again
you'll always pass my vibe check dad
Bad juju is definitely a good choice now for super rush builds. With elemental perks like incandescent and headstone we are in an era where primary weapons are expected to have some AOE and now it does with the spooky explosions.
Lucky pants do be feeling way better too now, the damage loss suck a bit but the quality of life changes are a godsend. And the recent change to heavy burst hand cannon precision damage makes it feel closer to before.
The thing with bad juju and just super generation based exotics for me is that builds i ususally use my super when things get bad.
But if my build entirely relies on spamming my super and im ever in a bad situation without it
Im fucked
Just want to point out that The prospector got a full rework and still has full auto as it's perk.
Symmetry: I think it either needs a different conversion rate on Dynamic Charge so that it makes more revolution ammo, or needs another source of gaining Dynamic Charge - maybes something like collecting ionic traces? Or even if it's just a chance at extra to pick up the pace.
I’ve been really enjoying 4th Horseman as a champion killer to complement my stasis-lock. I also really want to revisit Tessellation after I get the catalyst because I think a full-stasis build actually may make sense this season.
Huckleberry has been my easy content gun for about 6 months so the buff was incredible
Time for our seasonal wine and cheese taste testing, brought to by Datto LLC.
Been doing a lot of sanguine alchemy with parasite as well as raiju’s harness stuff; super fun!
I've loved the Huckleberry ever since I got the original catalyst, so getting a buff to it is great, and I'm a Warlock main. It's great in any PvE environment with lots of little guys: Onslaught, Gambit. Just lay on that trigger and let it rip.
Prospector in vanguard+glide is just hell bro and I'm totally in for it
I think a way to push Chap and Duality into the hands of more guardians, is have it be to where when either of their buffs are active at max capacity (Roadborn or On Black Wings x3), have precision slug kills refund ammo directly into the mag. Or maybe into the mag for Duality, but just ammo refund that has to be reloaded for Chaperone (Since Duality has more setup and a full mag reload anyways). I think that way these would allow guardians to play into the shotgun primary fantasy a lot more, while not pushing them too far over the limit. Duality would essentially have no change in PVP as well, though I am interested to see how Chap would balance out with this. Hopefully the having to reload would make it to where infinite ammo shotgunning wouldn’t be too possible
Prospector is super nice with a Stoicism roll of Eternal Warrior/Star Eaters. T-Crash, then mag dump the Prospector for big burst damage.
for the Bad Juju explosion, it looks like it's every 3rd kill. doesnt matter if it's from the bullets or the explosion. there also doesnt seem to be a cooldown because ive seen it happen where i managed to get a nonstop chain of explosions on a pile of cabal that were spawning in the edz in the "enemies move against each other" spot by Devrim that went on for a good 10 to 15 seconds after i stopped shooting
Fighting lions new direct hit works on stasis crystals!!
been loving peacekeepers with my rewind + deconstruct parabellum
i havent opened destiny 2 in six weeks. i still watch dad's videos though.
Loving all the vids Datto. Cant watch stream so i cant hear you talk about the game
Ex Diris got the buffs it so definitely needed. My Mothkeeper/Diris builds got so much better, it made soloing dungeons so much easier
The underlying tone of everything datto says: “meh”.
I’ve been enjoying Bad Juju with Skull so much. Haven’t tried on Void yet since Prismatic is so good
After a few more buffs every exotic gun/armor will be somewhat usefull now. We went from majority to a few.
I do wish some exotics stop restricting us to use a certain super on prismatic though. This restrcition isn't even on the Blastweave Striders. I fear to one day wake up and see *While you have a solar super equipped, Consecration's second slam creates a cyclone of flame.*
As far as I'm aware Ex Diris did not get the damage increase it was meant to have. That aside I think it still feels really nice this season.
Titans are eating good with Peacekeepers and those SMGs though.
bad juju and skull buffs feel like D1Y1 nova bomb cooldowns. Outside of prism rime coat, this is my favorite build right now. They absolutely cooked with these particular buffs
Mask of Fealty + Wicked Implement for builds utilizing crystals is very well for this season
If duality had chain reaction + firefly/dragonfly for double explosions on slug kills I'd never unequip it
Ex diris is nuts on prismatic....the buff stacking is insane. Got a INSANELY tanky build with mothkeepers
Exdris, arc mothkeeper, tonics, plus fragment that special kills blind, plus armor charge... literally a room shutdown, with occasional healing, plus weaken, plus lightning staff... fucking slaps on any activity
i feel tarrabah needs the perk sustainablity of riskrunner, keep the charged up mechanic but let kills extend the timer and maybe not refill mag but add rapid hit for faster reload when in the alt fire state
Last word is actually very good even without lucky pants
My issue with Symmetry is, unlike almost every other mode swap primary, when you run out of Revolution charges you need to swap back to normal mode AND still reload. It feels so clunky to use. Swapping from the alt fire mode back to normal should reload the weapon like Quicksilver and Revision Zero.
Lost signal, maahes HC4 w/ repulsor brace/destab rounds, edge transit w/ envious and b&s paired with briarbinds is GOD
my idea for making symmetry worth using is just getting kills with revolution rounds pauses the timer countdown or refreshes it
Don’t sleep on Ex Diris, it’s basically a pocket heavy weapon right now- it’s really good!
It only did a few hundred thousand less damage than a bait n switch edge transit. Like, I wouldn’t use this over w god roll nade launcher- but you can’t deny the absurd damage it can do
Tarrabah’s buff is pretty worthless if you ask me,any perk that works with solar would’ve been better, hell attrition orbs would’ve been good too,no damage perks needed tbh.
Elemental capacitor or even threat detector would’ve been amazing, the 15% resistance to solar feels like a slap in the face.
Tarrabah can do some really good damage for a primary weapon. But yeah, it's 'buff' is almost useless. Attrition orbs on Tarrabah would've made it worth the Spoils
@ I feel like they could’ve given it almost any other perk it would’ve helped it more than what they gave it.
I really love prospector after its rework. It finally feels usable and good
Same, I've been using in as my heavy in Onslaught and it feels amazing.
Moth build right now might be my favourite build ever and the damage buff ain't even working right now
Volatile on Fighting Lion is actually quite interesting. I'd have to test, but explosions like stasis crystals can trigger the auto reload. I'd assume that's the big thing with the change. Still needs more minor/major damage though :/
Chaperone is decent for anti barrier this episode, especially since I’m using legendary energy and power weapons anyway and don’t need the exotic slot
one day prospector will have its time in the sun but i feel like darci will beat it to it
At least it's fun to use now and maybe not meta but certainly usable.
It’s really good now can add clear and has respectable boss damage especially on large targets
Im loving Fighting Lion change. Not leaving my inventory
i've said this when kinetic tremor came out, Bad Juju should've got it instead of huckleberry, they should gave HB forth time the charm and increase the mag & reload speed!
Huckleberry continues to be an absolute workhorse. It feels so good when you get it going on a bunch of weaker enemies. Use it in Gambit and slay the fuck out.
Ive been having the most fun with icefall mantle and peacekeepers :)
last word also got a sizable damage buff this episode after it was bugged
using symmetry so far. haven’t ever really used it before. feels really good
Prospector is absolutely melting stuff, I’ve been using it on everything and out damaging the whole team most of the time.
Although it was accidental and still isn't all that practical, last word is pretty fun right now
