ZZs actually prefer to be rootbound/tight in their pots with not too much potting media around their roots and rhizomes. In that setting, the plant is more productive and sends up new shoots more
I did this with my zz plant. 3 weeks in & all the leaves went yellow. I've cut the whole lot off & now have a stick about 20cms long. Have I done the right thing? Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻

If I gona put 2 bulbs in a one pot, is the plant will grow new bulbs or new stems just will come from those two bulbs?
Mine isnt as lush and thick at the base -- it seems more like asparagus... anything I can do to encourage growth at the lower level?
