Geralt Kills Higher Vampier Hubert Rejk in Novigrad (Witcher 3)

The wave of religious and racially-motivated killings that swept through Novigrad in the spring of 1272 coincided with Hubert Rejk's term as coroner at the city morgue. Because of this he was overworked and additionally had to bear the harassment of his dislikeable superior, Reverend Nathaniel. It is thus no surprise that he came across as unpleasant and sarcastic when Geralt and he first met. Furthermore, it was clear there was bad blood between him and Joachim von Gratz, a fact that did little to improve the already rather stiff atmosphere at the morgue. Nevertheless, having learned the reason for Geralt's unexpected visit, Hubert made it clear Geralt anda Joachim could count on his help. Hubert proposed to help the witcher perform an autopsy on the serial killer's latest victim, which revealed valuable new clues... The man with the postitute is just another sadistic weirdo that Hubert uses as an alibi, only by hearing him out does the game reveal that Hubert is the real identity of the serial killer

@@kgspvgsp7569 you just have to kill Nathaniel after he told you who is the real serial killer, he will then try to torture the prostitute and you can either kill him, let him go or brainwash him into letting her go.

@@maimedtoasticles8752 Just did this quest while re-playing the enhanced (if that's the right term?) version. I remembered this video and recognized the vampire from scenes with him.
Been some time since I played the game and had no idea this was an alternate ending to that quest when watching it.
At first I made the mistake of killing the guy in Crippled Kate's, which I'm sure is what I did when I first played the game.
I was unsure how to get this encounter. I looked at the comments for a clue. After, I re-loaded from a checkpoint. I lucked out and it was at entering Crippled Kate's. This time I heard him out. I went against my instincts to kill him and instead mind tricked/deluded him before leaving. Not sure if that was a wise or morale thing to do. Was more of a 'what your instincts say, do the opposite' sort of thing. This time I was able to fight the vampire.
