Thanks for watching!
Becky is a strong, sweet lady. I pray things only get better for her.
@@captainamericaamerica8090 what a cruel remark and stupid too !!!, ageist much , she`s a lovely lady, lets see how you fare when your older ???
@@captainamericaamerica8090 So you're a troll. Cool. Enjoy that pathetic lifestyle and the misery it brings. Clearly you must have your own hurts, or your wouldn't act out in this way. You're seeking attention; try to think of some more positive outlets.
@@karenkazjefreys2913 I agree! What an insensitive thing to say.
Becky is fantastic!!!! I love her attitude and enthusiasm. God bless you Becky!!!
@@lethalampkin8035 bobs page is all about caring...
I wish everybody could see this video, this lady is a example of courage, love and freedom.
certainly beats the problems associated with property renting, utility companies, bothersome neighbors, municipal people, and the like
She is braver than me
This lady is rather an example that when you work all your life in USA, you still can end up homeless.
@@alonememe I did work all my life in USA, and I regret I didn't do what she does earlier....
She sure is a great example; super inspiring
Just Had To Pause & Say Thanks for Video!. I'm 34 & @ about $950 Saved For my Van!. Beyond Committed to Nomad LIFE!. Never Felt I belonged & Have been an Outcast all My LIFE!!.. Looking Forward to the Peace & Freedom. I'm Learning Everything I can Before I Leave the Nest!!.. Very Pivotal & Emotional Point in my Life!!.. Will definitely have My Dog with me!. Pray for Nice People to Meet along the Way!. In Tears as I'm Finishing up this Comment. Love You All. ☮️

I LIKE HOW BECKY KEPT HER VAN BUILD SO SIMPLE BUT NICE.
I think in some way many of us want our camping fun to never end
Ikr?!? When I see nice yet simple builds like this I get those itchy feet
Sweet lady.
She is amazing. When she was talking about living in the rv park in an rv her daughter bought for her, it made me think of all the people who want their parents to be ok but don't really want them under foot, so they put them some where. There are senior homes full of these folks.
What the children don't understand is no one wants to just be put somewhere so they are taken care of so the kids don't have to.
She's got her freedom and is living a good life. That desire doesn't stop at a certain age. Giving that up is a resignation that makes living a misery.
I'm happy for her. What an amazing person she is.
Beautifully put.
I bought my mom a mobile home . We’d have killed each other if she moved in . When she was sick , I sold it and she moved in . When she was healthy and working .. no way
She has great kids. There’s a lot of people out there not giving they elders the time of day. Obviously, her kids love her very much.
Looking back, My mother and aunt lived a semi-nomadic lifestyle. She always believed in a station wagon so she could sleep on it. Made me smile thinking my mother and Becky would have been friends. I remember stories about traveling to California during the dust bowl era, they camped along the way from the Midwest all the way , kids, dog and everything they owned.
I pray for Becky and those making ends meet on limited social security. It can't be easy so it is so wonderful to have van life as an option and a community and support around the lifestyle. Bob you do such a great job educating folks so they can feel empowered.
But it is so much easier! I struggle to use $200 a month when fully set up
There are plenty of folks unfortunately on social security who are barely making it.. There has to be s bete way.
Best choice when waiting for the SSB to clear and be approved
I absolutely love this story. She is so free and happy. AGE MEANS NOTHING! :)
Becky is now in better shape financially and emotionally than when she lived in her rv in the rv park. If I were her, I wouldn't get a bigger vehicle. I would stay in the van, get a top put on, or later get another van with standing room. If she gets something larger, she will be squeezed financially again. Repairs, gas, and insurance will cost her more and will make her life more difficult again. Take care, Becky.
GO BECKY.
Yes, agreed.
I pray that she gets a bigger RV if that is what she wants and maybe through donations, she will be able to do that.
What about a van with a tall top? Same mobility but more space upward and she could stand. Those things are massive inside! 🤯
I wonder what her engine size is., 1,000 isn't much if she's spending it all on gas.
There are so many folks like Becky. Some in small apt paying 75 percent of their income for a place to stay. Very sad. Some times being on road with little in come is not the answer either but Becky seems to have a lot of it covered. She has friends and is not alone. COOL.
What a delightful interview and tour. Becky is an inspiration for how to be free into our senior years.
Beckys independence gained while driving a truck had benefited her more than she could have realized while working. Great story, stay safe out there Becky
She is so adorable, I wish her the best
Awww ikr!?! She's such a cutie pie ♡
This…is what being independently wealthy REALLY looks like.
Heck yeah Becky rocks
What a sweet lady! I love her little home on wheels! You really don’t need that much space to live in! Thanks so much for sharing 💜
spaces tend to own us ( having possessions) not the other way around, anyway
@@billjoe39 true that!
Becky is by far my favorite guest you have ever had on. How can I show her some support? I would like to donate some money to her for her journey. I adore her. Her strength is amazing and she's a brave woman. Please let me know how I can support her.
She seems very independant and a real character! Inspiring for me as a 73 yr old woman to see a gutsy old lady with such great attitude despite her hard times! Good for her and i say go girl go!❤❤❤❤❤and loving the bonnet with ribbon!❤
lovely lady gave a wonderful interview/tour! loved her story.
What an amazing woman! She's a treasure!
Sweet Lady. I like that she keeps everything simple.
Bob, no matter how many rig tours I watch on your channel, the creativity of nomad making less is more is astounding. The community's creativity and ingenuity never disappoints. I always learn a new thing or two. Thanks Bob and thanks Becky for allowing us to see your rig set up.
Another nice person we have met thanks to you Bob.Becky made a potentially bad situation into a positive life experience. I hope we will meet up in our travels.
She is a wonderful role model. She loves to travel and has found a way to reach her goals.
What a great example of how seemingly bad things happen that can lead to a great life!
Totally AGREE with you.
Your a verry nice guy bob.the world needs more like you.👼
What a sweetheart. I wanted to build her a shelf for her stove...but she is happy with her sweet creation❤️
Wonderful. She is an amazing nomad. Love her van.
Gonna' say a prayer for Becky's continued safety and getting healthier. ❤️
Thank you for these interviews, Bob.
Bob..... I’m so glad you made it out of your darkness to be a beacon for so many! Much love to you both!!!!
What a courageous young lady, great home for sure! Thank you for sharing your journey and story. Thank you Bob for a great video much appreciated.
What a Doll! Brought a smile to my face🙂
Love her.
And love you too, Bob. You are so encouraging and positive. You are doing such good things for so many people. There are some angels among us, and truly, you are one of them.
❤️
Such a sweet lady, I just want to give her a big hug. 🧡
@CheapRVliving, straight up, to be honest, I enjoy your videos to learn from the collective thoughts and experiences of others. I commend you for your focus on those with lesser means. My wife and I have been watching your videos for the past two years or so. Our van life is still in the planning stages. We hope to have enough saved up to purchased a custom build Sprinter 4x4, 170 Extended wheelbases, RV. When we start our new chapter in life we have a strong desire to be debt-free. Thank you for sharing :)
Any idea what that vehicle built out will cost? Cuz I've been looking to do the same.
@@leahcartterrab8964 Our custom build will be very costly. We will purchase a new Sprinter 4x4 van, 170 Extended Wheel Base, and if everything goes as plans we hope to have Advance RV do our build. With all the bells and whistles, including the most advanced Lithionics lithium battery/solar package it is taking is more than 8 years of saving and frugal living to have enough to pay 75 percent down. Google Advance RV for the average van cost, for better idea of van cost.
I found a grin on my face listening and watching this tough old girl....reminds me of my grandma jewel.....be safe out there girlie
Another great example of adapting and thriving and why this work Bob is doing is so important.
God Speed to this plucky lady
I love it, Becky! Simplicity! Like your recycled rectangular buckets and lids plus portable wooden table. I like how you do not need wooden bed platform. Hope to see you on the road.
yes, those buckets are really good no dust gets into your stuff. and really strong on bumpy roads.
This is an amazing lady courageous and inspiring an example to imitate..
Thanks Becky,I’m glad your breathing fresh air and feeling better while you breathe. Your a inspiration to van life, thanks for sharing your story with Bob. I wish you happiness and success on your next goal with traveling.
She's an inspiration for all of us to know we don't need the best or most expensive of anything to enjoy life.
Simple and effective! I like her no build! I'm sure she gets much better gas milage!
Blown away by how resilient this woman is. Just a few tweaks could change her life even more. I think she needs a Bob Wells nomad-makeover. Imagine her with solar? Could be a game changer. Respect for Becky!
Becky is amazing. I love how she keeps is real and simple. The van is perfect. I watched expensive conversions that seem impossible to do but this I can do. 🥰 Hope to see updates on this cute lady.
I loved her simple solutions to van life. I get so many ideas for my van build.
That’s the cutest truck driver I’ve ever seen!! Be well Becky!
Becky, you're a star! May God bless you.
I LOVE HER!!! I too drove trucks .. now just want to get out there again.. just bought a school bus
That is the problem with most folks they think they need to build something elaborate to live in. Keep it simple like Becky. I also live like that in a minivan just need my bed and some storage. Been doing it like that since the late 80s.
Agreed. You’ve been doing this since the late 80’s??
Wow! Tell us more! (But only if you want to!)😉
I live in a minivan too, bins and a cot, but very organized. Would love to see Bob interview a seasoned veteran like you. 👍
@@barefootincactus I lesrn alot from watching Bobs videos. My life has been a struggle and I resemble more of a homeless person versus a happy life in the desert.
Oh my gosh! I was sitting here watching this a year later and it just clicked that I can use 5 gallon buckets with gamma lids as a bed platform support for car camping PLUS airtight storage for dry food and other items! It wouldn't hold the brunt of my weight, just be a support. I think it dawned on me when she put that piece of wood over her buckets for a table. Back to the drawing board! Thank you!!
Becky is amazing! She didn't try to build out her van cause she made it work for her needs as it was, except for just pulling out the middle seats. I'd love to visit with her and be my Nomad friend. Thanks Bob for this wonderful interview and tour. See you on the road one of these days.
What a sweet lady
A true inspiration
Way to go Becky! I am also a former truck driver & miss being on the road seeing the country. I am 72 and have an nice older conversion van that I am outfitting for my future nomad life. Hope to meet you down the road!
I had to watch Becky's video again. A really nice lady that is satisfied with what she had done to make a home for herself. I'd love to meet one of these days. Altho today is 9-14-23, maybe I'll get on my way soon. Thanks Bob for all you still do for the nomad community.
I love you Bob have been watching your videos since 2016. you inspire ao many people not only nomads but also people with chronic illness. I cried when watched the movie you made the movie deep and genuine.
Another beautiful video with an amazing resilient lady.
Blessings from Portugal 🇵🇹
Loved her and her van, ty for sharing 💕
Another wonderful soul! Bless you Becky May your travels be amazing and safe.
How fantastic, Becky!! I love how organized you are. It makes such a big difference no matter the lifestyle. I also love that you’ve set-up your space without a whole lot of hullabaloo. What you have seems rather spacious, it’s completely functional and cost effective. I hope you have grand adventures on the road with your friends. Thank you for sharing your home!!
Living in AZ is a very healthy place, I found that when I lived there, and being in nature is far superior to living in a brick home. Envious of this sweet lady! In the UK it's often wet, cold, and windy, but still van life is better than bricks. But I find so much inspiration from these lovely ladies Bob interviews.
Bob, all are precious in your sight. Much respect for Becky and all your wonderful nomads.
She drove a semi!! Blows my mind. What an awesome woman. Best of luck in your travels
Whether you are down by the river or cruising up on the state highway, you can have a great life. Bravo, Becky!
This woman is life goals! Thank you Bob for all the interviews you do. I've watched your channel since 2017 and you still amaze me with all the different people you interview.
I am happy she has an affordable place to live, where she has protection from the elements.
That small lady drove a semi? Fantastic! I wish her the best luck, health and happiness. ❤️
Hi Bob love your u tube channel ur a great guy helping out people, thanks for doing what u do
Becky,so great to meet you and hear your story. What a resilient lady. Positive outlook. Resourceful. Organized. Thanks for this video. God bless Becky. Safe travels. Bob, you are so good at personalizing each video. I love them all
Becky is an absolute sweetheart, and she has a real cool rig. Thanks for sharing your home with us Becky x xxxx x
She just keeps talking... and so sweet how you don't try to rush her and let her talk.
The nomad life makes people better in every way....reduces stress from finances, gain like minded friends and a awesome leader like Bob who is there to coach you... One day he will have his on land... Lots of people will be taking the challenge of nomad life....
Beautiful Lovely Lady and an insperation to all of us over 65 folks on the same budget for whatever our reasons. My dear sister u give me hope and reason to go on! Thank You so much 💕
she is amazingly resilient! My mouth dropped when I heard her RV was on fire and then her Mazda exploded! but she made it all better with a new home and was financially relieved without having to worry with how much left to live on each month. I'm happy she is enjoying her life and her health.
Nice I could and gonna live like this
love your organization....simple and effecient...
That is pretty much about how simple I planned on mine. Take out the 2 middle seats, add a mattress to the bench seat and utilize the spaces left. You really don't need much. I would however add solar and a fridge/freezer.
I'd really love to see the community come together for her...she's such a doll!!
What a gem of a woman!
Very sweet lady! Love her attitude. I pray a bigger blessing comes her way!🙏🏻🌸🌅
Beautiful soul....Peace
Becky is an amazing lady. Her van looks comfy. I was impressed when I heard her say she towed a trailer
This is my all time favorite van home!! Super simple, I already use big totes for seats lol. Happy for you Becky 💯💯🙏🏾🥰♥️
THANK U BOB ! Some of your viewer love to hear from nomad on SSI, SSDI ,and or Social Security only budget .
Lovely, beautiful lady. God bless her and keep her safe. What an inspiration!
I get such good ideas from your videos. Today its 111 degrees and we are getting our Freestar ready for nomad life. Becky is right about working with a small space!
So we took out the seats in back for more room. Tomorrow I am going to put reflextics in windows and sew up a curtain for behind front seats. Becky used a shower rod but that would not work in our van. So your right you make do! We are counting down and will hit the road next Monday the 21st!
Having a tough time getting rid of my sticks and bricks… I’m in Salt Lake City and I can make a pile of money but I need something to motivate me to get rid of all my stuff… This lady makes it look easy… So inspirational
The "Build Out is Simple Sweet and Strong" just like Becky herself.
She is awesome 😎
How truly awesome is she, you go Miss Becky💞👍🤗
So nice to enjoy this video again. I hope and pray for the best for Becky. Hope to meet her one day.
Miss Becky, can I just say you are a bad a.... survivor! You are strong and living out your gypsy dreams. God bless!
She so adorable God bless her.. We can live with so little she has great energy and spirit ❤love u Bob
My very best wishes for Becky…. You are amazing! God bless you!
This was great, simplicity and wealth at its finest! Becky is a smart lady and a survivor bless her heart, she is inspiring!
I am trying to find the courage to do this, ditch my present living situation and go for it.. any encouragement welcome 😅
Thank you Bob and Becky!
Outstanding Lady!
Beautiful
Really enjoyed this video. Simple and practical. Very sweet lady.
Much enjoyed this humble Lady's story!
Hi,from another retired trucker !
I liked that lady,,I'm trying to do the same, but I'm in Washington and can't figure how to have a physical address,,God bless
I think Beckies got the right idea, just get out and enjoy life.
If I was her I wouldn't get a bigger van I would get someone to help build that one out and add a pull down awning on the side, it's big enough for one and would be superb if kitted out right.
Absolutely lovely lady, not sure how old she is but definitely doing OK
She is absolutely delightful!
I'd like the van it looks comfortable the van and be careful out there stay safe and happy travels
