You Won't Believe The Stunning Van This 79 Year Old Solo Female Built!!

- At 79 many folks as seniors have decided their best years are behind them. Not Kate, a solo female rver. Kate plans to travel much of the year in her beautiful Ram Promaster van conversion that she built out herself. This is her 2nd van build. The Inside of this tiny house on wheels is simply stunning and reminds me of the inside of a log cabin. Even when Kate is not on the road traveling she lives in a tiny space, a 8x24 foot trailer. Kate said something that really stuck with me. She said that she lives larger traveling in a small space than she ever did in larger spaces when stationary because the changing scenery expands her living space. WalMart - OMAC for Promasters Eurocampers has them and Amazon- Put in Car Window Vents
So many of you have asked about the window vents. Kate could not remember the name of where she bought them. But, WalMart sells something very similar online from OMAC for Promasters. Also Eurocamper, and if you put in AMAZON and car window vents loads of similar products will come up.

It felt so good that he called asking me to go get his meds! I was very happy to. Then waiting I see this sweet message! God answers prayers! Thank you for gifting me feeling like a valued person today! My Neighbor was on the phone with his Mom who was so kind to me for helping her boy! I was a stay at home Mom who volunteered everywhere! I felt it was my duty! Today you & he made me feel appreciated & useful! 😊 Have a fantastic day yourself!

Have seen some great vans… but none had this.
I had the good fortune to meet this amazing woman at an event in Quartzite. She is an inspirition.
She truly is an inspiration and a truly lovely person.
Many of us think of 79 years and think that is old until you meet someone like Kate......beautiful, energetic, inventive, talented.......building and living her life to the fullest! Fantastic van too, lol :) Love seeing little features that make things personal like her wall extender mirror, :)
Carol is an inspiration and her van is so cozy. I love people who swim against the current of society telling us seniors that we should being old just stop living.
It's called 'waiting for God'.. in the old people's village I live in, its endemic. I'm not into that. I want to stride out and meet God. I'm actively seeking a mobile home. Thought I had one but they got greedy so back to square one. So I'm fascinated by this, both in our 70's, I'll do it too, even if I have to rock on down to the Men's Shed for help with tools etc.

She keeps referring to herself as an old lady, but she's proof that age is only a number. Kate is such an inspiration. She's doing more at her age, than women, that are half her age. She's living an active lifestyle, traveling, and living her best life. She looks amazing, she's healthy, brilliant, and just so charming. If she has a channel, please let us know. Age is just a number but sometimes it doesn't like you and whips your butt I'm in my 70s and 55 years of construction work has wrecked my body.
@@danbailey96 I have a friend who is turning 68 this March. He did heavy construction work as well for many years. His back is totally ruined, they said after taking scans he has the back of a 100 YO man. I've met many others in the same situation.

Consider part time. That is what I do. Just returned from a 7400 mile round trip cross country trip. It was wonderful.
Love this lady's spirit. I'll be 80 in May and my family is so afraid I'll get lost, get sick or hurt myself. I traveled for 3 yrs in a class A. Sold it in November because it was so much work. I'm looking at a Ram van because I'm just not ready to stop. What argument can I use to set them at ease. This time around I'm going to be sure to make some meet-ups. You all are great.
Theres not much to say to put them at ease, but they'll learn how to get used to it. I hope you have a great journey!

At any age, this is one of the best Van builds I’ve seen. So tasteful and a great utilization of space.
By the way, the IKEA drawers have a little tabs at the back that you can bend down that keep them from falling forward.

I believe a lot of us who are adventurous and want to explore have been that way about most things during our life. I'm 81 and retired four years ago as a crisis counselor covering seven prisons. I've been rving for two years and last month my rv quit for good, I'm now looking for one similar and just learned from this wonderful woman some new information that will improve the quality of my rving when I get a different one. In this type of exploring we all continue learning - from each other, from ourselves, from various other means. Our passion for living expands. See how happy and content Kate looks? It's real. There are many reasons we do what we do. Yes, we do have fears. We learn to embrace them and overcome them. We continue to grow and love what we do because of our new growth developed from our explorations. If you want to explore then just do it.
It was kind of a difficult time for her and I didn't eant.to press. Next time for sure.
Our matress is from SLEEP ON LATEX as well. The 6" matress was expensive, so we went with 2 - 3" toppers and we are super happy with it, and saved some $$.

@Corndog Caravan - Could you tell me regarding your 2-3" topper - was it soft, medium, or hard? I looked online at the company, but I'm not sure whether to buy the soft or medium. Thanks
@@rosett3487 we prefer a firm matress so we went with firm for our bottom and medium for our top. So it really all depends on what kind of matress you like. If you want a soft matress you might like medium on the bottom (for support) and soft for the top. But it really depends on how soft you want. Just a thought.

I really like Kate, she is so sweet. It amazes me how nice van campers are and how they are williing to share their build. My wife and I camp a few days all the warm weather months and invite a few friends and relatives. It has always been a dream of mine to go cross country. So I watch van builds and info. I am now 73.

Toilet can be a variety of receptacles....but I still prefer a shower....small, "military" style etc ....just so I could use a tiny bit of soap and a quick rinse. Kate you are one bad lady!!🤗
