The first time i heard that shit back in like 93 , my buddy had a demo tape from them. i was like whoa, who the fuck is this. He's like some band Korn i stole this demo tape from someone at a party! lol i might be a little fuzzy on the details it was the 90's i was in higschool and i was a huge stoner back then. lol

My favorite band. No contest. They’re not afraid to experiment, they haven’t had dozens of members, and they continue to release albums regularly. That’s incredible for a 20+ year old band.

skyelark155 yeah bro they’re one of greatest, I’m 24 now but my older sister that got me into rock was 16-17 in the late 90’s. She was listening to KoRn, Deftones, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, RAGE, Incubus, Slipknot, Dr. Dre, Snoop & Eminem. We were living in LA at the time so this was PRIME time for musicians and California as a whole in that era so I got to hear these musicians at a young age basically 4/5 years old lol but she eventually came home with the Follow The Leader LP, Issues & Slim Shady LP and ever since then been a fan of nu metal, I’m a black guy too so i’ve always grew up on hip-hop and reggae but when I was hearing metal bands go crazy I became a fan of rock music instantly lol

I actually met and played guitar for their guitarist james aka "munky" a few months back and again the month before, he was super down to earth, very very humble and extremely nice. I'm so happy they won this award, they're very deserving of it.
Hey man, I saw that video of you playing for Munky, his wife posted it on her FB page :D I met Brian few months back and he has also been very humble and nice to me and I can bet that the rest of the band is just like Munky and Head :) They deserve that award and I can't wait to see them on rock'n'roll hall of fame in a few years.

The most deserving honestly
Korn actually in their own right took heavy metal to another level and also made the 7 string guitar super popular, saving the 7 string guitar from extinction by tuning it down low and made it sound as heavy as they can possible as Munky explained in an old interview along with Head back in the 90s on MTV, plus Korn seemed to have made the Ibanez guitar brand one of the best brands of guitar manufacturing as well.

Well said Brian! We as fans always want and want and want. We wanna hear new music and see the band live. I’ve seen korn over 30 times now and will not miss a show. One, if it wasn’t for the shit they’ve been through, especially Jonathan like head said poring his heart out on every album we wouldn’t have them. So this is a thank you for putting yourself through the endless nights in the studio, interviews, tv and live shows. This is all time that they can be spending with their loved ones. They aren’t 20 anymore and have family they miss dearly I’m sure every night spent away from them. Thank you for over 20 years of blessing my life with your music and shows.

It's so rare and almost impossible to say in most instances but not when these guys are concerned because there really is no band like Korn, what they did and continue to do is so inspiring. They fill a part of my soul that I never realised had a hole in it to start with.

Awesome. I love those guys. Korns been a part of my life since I 1st started listening to music. Remember it like yesterday, My mom telling me I could listen to Adidas cuz i was 8 yrs old and it wasnt for my ears. That was 96 and here I am in 2018 still listening with decades full of memories to go along with all the great music. It makes me happy and proud to see these guys still going today.
Korn is the best S.O.S album is one of the best KoRn album imo can't wait for the next!

Head is not lying! When he thanked Jon Davis definitely had an amazingly unique and gifted way of writing and singing lyrics. Head just reminded how "UNCOOL" and basically career sabatoge to break down CRY for the last 7 minutes of your debut album, bcuz the song you just sang threw you into a VERY REAL emotional explosion, bcuz the song was so fucking dark and tormenting, that your lyrics were the only way you had to tell anyone what had happened to him as a child. Do I even need to bring up Shoots & Ladders and how Jon single handedly made the bagpipes fucking cool for metal kids to like! I asked my dad for a set for xmas and a few years later he did get me a beginner set and I have them hanging on the wall in my music room right now! Thank you Jon, Head, Munky, Fieldy, David & Ray for all the great music that pulled me through some of the darkest times that I was definitely convinced I wasn't making it out alive. But I did and Ijust saw them August 31st, 2021 with Staind! They fuckin rocked! Jon just got over covid and he gave it his everything, as usually and no Korn fan left disappointed!!!

When i watch korn videos i always found comments about how korn save their lifes in one way or another,korn didn't save my life but since i first listen their song tjey make me realize how crazy this world is,from pedophilia to drugs even before i knew about them 18 years later i take proper care of my kids because i know this crazy people,the ones korn portray in their songs is still around.

The venue didn't have enough room for their entire production so they couldn't play. Can't really put a band that sells out arenas in a 2000-3000 cap venue haha these dudes are legends.
