It's similar, but the sugar buzz will get tangled up sometimes since the loop is real big. Mine should be able to prevent that from happening. Thanks for watchin!!!
I love swinging baits, especially still having action when it stops. Also love the light blue, just a little bit of contrast, good muted color for a cloudy day. I also am convinced that after seeing you catch so many fish on a buzz bait, that when I have ever tried, I was nowhere near fish, lol. Hopefully get back out soon, looking forward to slinging your little 1/4ozers on light gear. Crazy trout, haha, my nephew gets big'unz on the largest Rooster-tails. Yough has tanks with hooked jaws, and they don't scare me like Musky!!
Haha the semi-secret I have (which actually explains the blue color) is this area holds a different kind of baitfish. I'm not sure what they are... all I know is they are very big, and bright blue on top! Everytime I come to this area and fish with a baitfish presentation I make sure it has some blue on it and I swear it almost doubles my bites. I also just like the color🤣. I would agree that you/anyone throwing a buzzbait and not catching fish to me just means there aren't many fish there, or some other semi obvious reason like time of year or something, I'm sure there's other reasons too though. There absolutely are giant trout in the yough and rooster tails are a great way to catch them! My favorite was always a 1/4oz Joe fly! Hahah I also haven't come across a trout big enough to scare me🤣🤣 actually I haven't come across a muskie big enough to scare me until the one from last week, I almost tucked my tail and ran🤣🤣🤣 thanks for watchin!!!
The jointed buzzbait seems like an excellent idea. I believe it may keep fish on better. I have a couple spinnerbaits that have an EWG hook attached with a split ring. Haven't used them much yet. The trout on the buzz was insane, never saw that before but he was huge. You sure did boat some serious fish that day. Awesome video
As of now, they are a little bit of a pain to make, a lot more steps to complete them vs. the regular buzzbait. They have shown me enough potential that I want to continue to refine them and hopefully make them easier to produce and hopefully add them to my store. Someone else also mentioned a jointed spinnerbait could have some benefits so I will probably look into trying that in the future. Thanks for watchin!!!
Very cool how you modified your buzz baits with the swinging hook. It seems that it will reduced the number of lost fish. I wonder if this same mod would work on a spinner bait. There for a second I thought you accidently hit the ejection seat button on your Ned Zeppelin. Very interesting video Ish. Great job as always.
So far, the testing is good, but I haven't got a big one to eat it yet, and that will be the true test for me. I think I could get a jointed spinnerbait in a similar fashion as this buzzbait. I have been having issues with losing my top blades on my spinnerbaits that I haven't resolved yet. Seems like every inexpensive barrel swivel is basically garbage, and if you want a high-quality one, it's super expensive. I will Def keep the idea of a jointed spinnebait in mind! Haha I had no idea what was even happening when that caribiner broke🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for watchin ken!!!
Awesome day out there. That jointed buzz bait worked great. Wacky rig was getting them too. I often use 1/16 oz wacky jigheads with a weedguard in deeper parts of the river and in lakes. Crazy getting that trout. I caught one on a spinner bait at virgin run one time. Never on a buzz bait. Caught a few on the wacky rigged senko. Nice job tweaking that motor and getting a little more speed. Was just wondering, when you knocked on wood, were you knocking on your head. Haha
Trout on a spinnebait is pretty crazy too! I have had some follow a spinnerbaut, but looked like they didn't know what to do with it🤣🤣🤣 hahah yeah my head can be hollow like a stump so I always figured my head would count as wood🤣 thanks for watchin Joe!
Love seeing the buzzbait in action. It is by far my favourite way to fish right now. Is that your replacement medium power spinning rod that you were throwing the wacky rig on? Looks like it was working well with your 1/16 oz hook. Thanks for the video Ish.
The buzzbait is absolutely a ton of fun!!! Yeah, I got a replacement for the other cadence rod, same as the other one. I do think the medium light may be something I start using more often but I also am on the lookout for something in between the two, yano a little softer than this cadence but a little more backbone than the piscifun. Yeah my weighted wacky hooks paired with a zinkerz is still my favorite, I understand why people use the weightless version with the actual senkos but I think it's just so much easier to grab a weighted hook and a zinker instead of needing a softer rod/heat shrink tubing/ and possible gut hooking a fish. Thanks for watchin Paul!
still havent got shrink tubing for your senkos yet huh? haha me either lol i went through a pack and a half of senkos yesterday. and i told you i like the rain, but after hours and hours of it continuously,my pruned fingers chased me home hahah never made it to where i wanted to put your rod holders, but going back out in a day or 2 fingers crossed lol
Haha, I have shrink tube, I just got another one of my cadence rods and brought it instead of the medium light rod. I just think it's better/easier to just grab a weighted hook and some zinkers instead of dealing with needing a softer rod/heat shrink tubing and the potential to gut hook a fish. This also gives me the opportunity to throw baits other than a wacky rig, just more versatile to have this rod with me than the medium light, although having the lighter rod also has it benefits. I think I will be looking for a rod somewhere in between the 2 in the future. It's almost funny how it's rained maybe 4 times this whole year, and somehow you managed to hit the trail on one of those days🤣🤣🤣 looking forward to seeing the hiding spot you come up with!!! No need to hurry, whenever you have time is fine with me! Thanks for watchin!!!
Not sure when, still in R&D. Might end up being a new release next spring at the latest. My goal is to make sure it doesn't foul up consistently for several hundred casts. The issue is the head getting beat up n coming lose, and then it starts to foul up. Currently it starts to foul up sometime on my 2nd to 3rd trip out, I would guess about 200+ casts, which isn't bad but I would like it to be good for 400+ at least. I've made good improvements since this video. This video looking more like 70 casts or so before it started to get beat up. Thanks for watchin!!!
I came for the trout... I stayed for the smallmouth. Excellent work with that buzzbait!
👍👍 thanks for watchin!!!
Never seen a trout on a buzzbait, but that one that hit when you were getting ready to cast was awesome! great vid.
Haha, the first time I have ever seen this happen!!! The unexpected buzzbait bites are the best, they always scare me🤣🤣🤣 thanks for watchin!!!
That's something you don't see every day. xD Nice one!
Haha not at all!!! Thanks for watchin!!!
Very cool… you just made a DIY version of a Strike King Sugar Buzz 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I'll keep an eye on your store, hopefully you'll get enough interest to sell the swingers.

1:25 how did you get your boat speed on your phone?
There's an app called speedometer that uses the GPS on your phone.
What part of river Danny? Was wondering where that trout was stocked and where he swam to
Sorry, I don't give out locations (other than the most public launch locations) thanks for watchin tho!
@@fishinwithish all good bro I understand that! Gotta keep your secret spot’s secret
