Thank you guys for do this review. It's like .40 is a relative round since 9mm has been adopted by the feds. I since carry 40 and will continue to do so.
I have this same gun in 9mm. Love it. The 40 S&W may be a higher recoiling round but it's quite effective. It's a good mix of 9's velocity and 45's mass. An upgraded recoil spring and ported barrel from Lakeline LLC should help with the recoil. There's also trigger upgrades online that shorten that trigger pull but also keeps the double strike capability
I fired my 40 yesterday...been sittingin my safe for around a year...awsome little pistol...accurate ..very glad i purchased it....i have 5 _ 40 caliber pistols.....9mm is a little weak in my opinion
For folks who don't like the recoil of the .40 then get the 9mm version. That's why the FBI downgraded to the 9mm for their female agents. Vast majority of law enforcement across the country still carry the .40 because it's a great round. Also, the heavy grain .40 you were firing does add some recoil, try a lighter grain .40 for the range see if it helps.
I bought the 40 caliber model and it works just fine. It has a lot of kick but I guess that has more to do with the relatively small gun frame and high bullet caliber. The trigger is... something. The pull is so long ( and loose) that you almost feel like you've misfired. If I had to guess though, that is the cost Taurus paid in equipping the gun with re-strike capability because the trigger doesn't feel that way when you're in rapid fire mode. Good gun though. I have put at least 100 bullets downrange with zero problems.
Nicely done video, no bias, calm and smooth with no ranting and raving, my kinda review...cause we all know anything less then the 500 Magnum is for girls....lmao....obviously joking.....loved the calm and honest review !
I have to admit...for a gun that cost $200.00,, and looks good and fires good as you say, it puts glock in a retiring situation especially the cost, I'll buy that for a dollor.......
My Taurus G2c will not cycle the Hornady critical defense 165gr flex tip or hollow points, could be a break in period. It does very good with ball and hardcast ammo.
The 9 is great! Its plenty to do the job. Me and the wife have the G2c, mines a 40 and hers is the 9. I like the feeling of that snappy recoil but its not for everyone.
@@gavinbaker3886 thanks for the input. I still haven't pulled the trigger. :) But I'll pick up something. Have you had any issues and have you modded anything in the pistol?
It's not because it's small but the recoil spring. I have a much smaller micro kahr cm40. But it has double recoil springs to make it flat shooting, lower recoil . There are after market trigger to update the Taurus g2c to be more like g3c trigger. And for recoil just use lighter lower recoil 40s&w.
I have the .40 s&w.. I've upgraded with the lakeline steel guide rod and recoil spring, will the speer 180 grain hp, make a difference pertaining too power. ??

There are after market trigger to update the Taurus g2c to be more like g3c trigger. And for recoil just use lighter lower recoil 40s&w in the Taurus. There's a huge push 10mm and 10mm guns, but there no reason. As most carry 10mm rounds is just weak 40s&w. And you can get a very tiny 40s&w no 10mm can match, like the kahr cm40. 10mm shines in hunting rounds but not something want use as a carry defense
It ain't the recoil, it's how she's holding the gun. She locks her elbows straight out trying to stop the recoil, instead of slightly bent elbows catching the recoil.
Enjoying your videos. I like to see you get the Mossberg MC1 and see how you like that. I'm planning on getting one pretty soon. keep up the good work.
I currently have a Kahr CW40 which I’m not really a fan of, but this was the pistol I originally wanted... I’m thinking about getting it plus I love my .40 caliber pistols
What's wrong with revolvers ? More reliable smaller and more powerful in most cases . To each their own don't crap on somebody else's carry choices . Any gun is better then no gun and the more people packing the better . Great gun though
Great video. One problem, I had to turn up the volume to hear you talk but when you fired the weapon it was so loud my cat ran and hid and my Akita jumped up and barked, and he never barks.. :) I have a G2C I bought more than 7 years ago and there are some cosmetic differences but it shoots great.
I'm definitely 100% for Women and concealed carry but....homegirl....🤔 you didn't Do a Very Good job managing the Recoil on that .40 S&W Taurus G2C....just being honest in my Opinion, not trying to be Derogatory towards You. But now that I watch this vid a lil more, he Doesn't do a good job either with that Recoil.
# 1. your girl doesnt increase the views. 2. anyone can tell that ya some cheapies 3. ya talk quite but the gun & ammo fires super loud. 4. ya needa hire a sound editor.
Nice vid . I have the 40. Cal TH model . I love it . I think it grips better it is the full size 15rds mag . My wife has the 9mm . The trigger is way different than any gun we ever had but now we are used to it we like it .
It does have huge recoil ... I let my 91 year old grandpa fire it and he gave it back after 1 shot, love him... he’s a trooper
The 9mm version of That Pistol has little to any Recoil....🤔

People always complain about triggers..someone shooting at you trigger will be the last thing you think bout 😒..
I got the 9 but I'm really thinking about getting this one
It's got more meat why not dude!

This guy's a glock lovers. I have both the 9 and the 40. I shoot them with single hand and both hand. I have no complaints.

My G2 40S&W doesn't like the 165gr hornady critical defense flex tip the flex tip will not cycle properly.
It's a man's gun I'm sure you can handle it just fine!
Man I love the single action trigger on ours. Mrs TMT has had issues with her support hand finger getting rubbed as well.
I just got the 40 and love it to me there was no problem with the trigger
Didn’t expect to see my man j. Dalton on here. The best budget 40 is always gonna be the sd40ve with the Apex spring kit imo.

Just bought one today in 9mm. Thanks for the video! :-)

I keep going back and forth between 9 mm vs .40. I think a 9 with hollows would be enough gun to do the job and better on the recoil and reset.
Chilidog me too I don’t know which to get
Did y’all ever choose cause I been thinkin the same?

Looks like a beast to handle
Yeah I have the 9mm, i think 40 is a little too much for that small frame. 9 does awesome
It was also originally designed for 9.m
@@pledgeyourallegiance8530 the first ones to come out was a 45acp in the pt145 way before this g2c one. same gun different name

I like the gun but I think for the size it’s best for 9mm. But now my SD40 is amazing
These would be nice if it wasn't for the trigger I had the 9 and 40 and hated the trigger
Man I can’t find this anywhere
I have that gun but do I need to change the barrel on the gun before I use the 40?
Damn that thing does have a lot of Recoil just look at her hair when ever she fires it! Jesus haha. I’m buying this gun for sure.
It's 2021...and watching this makes my wallet hurt 🥺😅 I can't find rounds and miss my range time lol
Great video very informative
It’s $270 right now on grabagun website.
this is the only striker fired pistol with double strike feature
Does anyone know if there is a compatible 32 round mag for the .40 g2c?
Pro mag probably makes them. Always pays to look online.
The canik TP9 mags will fit & cost less than original G2C mags
its dalton ...where u been?
The trigger is literally one of the best and lightest on the market and she's saying she doesn't like it lol you like heavy triggers??
It looks snappy
U can tell she was influenced by others reviews she read about before shooting the gun
JSeriesRacing wow, really? I’m sorry you don’t actually know me, because your comment is definitely not a true statement.
That should tell you that whatever she said must be the truth about the gun. Think of it that way
It's not the gun it's the high grain ammo thats why it hurts use lower grain ammo
U cant shiot revolvers?
Try the glock 27. Much better shooting .40
Bom dia vcs americanos por que não colocam uma legenda em português
You got to hold it baby girl
Good shooting would like to see you test out a 357 magnum.
How is it a "Hard" trigger? wtf its about a 5 lb pull lol
That does appear to be significant recoil. The 9mm may be a better choice.
Good review until you dismiss revolvers, apparently unaware they have some real world advantages.
