Sir you do a very thorough job of pointing out the features of this very concealable .40Cal pistol. This is the first time I've heard of this particular model from Taurus, and thanks to your video I will look into it further as a possible conceal carry for myself. Once again sir, excellent video and thanks for creating it!
Yes I agree completely, and I consider myself lucky, because I live basically right across the street from a hardware store that also has a sporting good department in it. I have been firearms shopping at that store for 28 years, and can have them order in just about anything I want just so I can examine it and then determine if I indeed want to make a purchase. Again sir a great video, and I look forward to viewing more of your firearm videos in the future!
mossiemom60 I just purchased one of these today and it is by far my favorite .40 cal handgun to day super comfortable in your hand the mag release is kinda stick but that’s no issue
Bought one in March of this year for home defense and carry conceal. I love it. Small enough to carry comfortably and still has enough power to take care of anything. I’ve put about 750 rounds through it and only had one failure on the 5th round. No other issues since.
I love all 6 of my Taurus pistols and find them all to be accurate, reliable and eat everything I feed them. My primary EDC rotation consists of my G2C, G3 and P140 Millennium PRO in an IWB holster and either a PT738 TCP or a S&W M&P Bodyguard in 380 for pocket backup. I have been looking for a TH40c to add to my collection. Thanks for the video and keep shooting.
Last night I did a very foolish thing. I ordered a Taurus TH40C. I’ve never seen one, I’ve never held one, and I’ve never made a purchase this way before. However, I have a G2C that my son gave me…it was the first striker fired pistol I’d ever shot…and I did so reluctantly. Immediate fan…the gun ensured that I hit the target every time…because I know I’m not that good a shooter. I fell in love with it, so naturally, when my son bought his G3C, he gifted me the G2C for my birthday. So last night I saw an ad for a Taurus TH40C and it intrigued me. I noticed a bit of a nub just behind the rear sight, and felt that it had to be an actual hammer spur. Looking into the firearm specifications I confirmed that it was a hammer fired gun. As a long-time 1911 shooter (as well as my first pistol, a Beretta 92Fs), I much prefer hammer fired guns for CC. Throw in a manual safety, and you’ve got my full attention. Well, first things first…I placed my order. Then this morning I figured I’d better do a bit of research while I can still cancel the order. That led me to your channel which was a pure breath of fresh air. Excellent cadence, excellent presentation, I had to agree with all of your points regarding the 40 S&W vs 9mm, and it seems this is a superb addition to my 40 S&W collection. The others being a Beretta PX4 Storm and a Springfield EMP 40 S&W. The Beretta is a great shooter, but a bit large for CC, and the Springfield EMP is a dream to shoot, but sometimes I need something a bit less obvious. This new TH40C looks to be exactly what I needed, when I didn’t even know it existed. Newly subscribed, looking forward to seeing more of your vids.
I bought the th40c and I love that damn thing!!! Even bought 2 extra 15rd mags for it. Definitely a solid pistol. Also the Valkyrie v2 light works perfectly on that!!! Or your other guns!!!
My man, great job...I am a fan of the 40cal..I have 9s, but 40cal is my choice.. great video....I have the g2c in 9, and 40... this one will be my next taurus in 40cal ofcourse... keep up the great work my man..
One of my very best handguns is the Taurus PT1911AL. The soft case it came with is awesome as well. I'm looking into this handgun for my Wife as a Conceal Carry or I'll check & see if they have this in a 9MM or 380. It's a good looking pistol.
I'm really interested in this pistol. Thanks for the review. I've carried striker fired for the last 8 years and have never cared for ANY of the triggers. I'd rather have a heavy pull (if you're not carrying already cocked) then have single action follow up. This looks like my next purchase
@@fred337040s&w will definitely have a different feel especially with higher pressure loads like 40s&w +P rounds like Nov-x 1,725FPS and 580FT-LBS. or there is plus P ammo made by buffalo bore that has a nice kick it will also depend on recoil spring LBS
Budget carry, Sig Pro 2022 9mm. Double action with decocker. Night sights from the factory. Two 15 round magazines. Excellent build quality and accuracy. My regular work carry is a 320 compact with many upgrades. I have almost $1200 into the firearm. My life depends on this pistol 40 plus, and sometimes plus more hours every week. For off duty I carry the 2022 stock. Half the price of my built up 320C. Yet I love it. Go with what you can afford to save your bacon. Take care.
Great vid. Btw what holster is that on your Kahr Cw9. Vid told me all I wanted to know about the Th, getting to the most important facts right at the beginning.
The G2C can be double action also, remove the barrel, put the bullet in the barrel then reassemble the gun but dont rack it all the way, assemble it to the point where the take down pin locks back in place, then your first shot will be double action.
I own 3 Taurus pistols. A vintage PT92 AFD, a G2C and a Model 85 2" ultra light revolver. I like em but lets face it other than my vintage 92 and revolver Taurus semi autos have that goverment cheese look. They work but you know what I mean.
Question. I just bought one yesterday. Have not shot it yet because most ranges are closed. I am asking if you insert a mag and throw a round in the pipe, the hammer is cocked. If you push the safety all the way down, the hammer goes forward. Is that a de cocking mechanism?
Okay yan! Hammer fired at regular rifling. .40 cal na meron 15 rnd magazine. Mukhang ayos ang trigger. Hindi lang ganun ka popular sa Maynila yan dahil sa 9mm na striker fired uso dito.

Silica gel doesn't prevent moisture 100%. Your best course of action is to not keep any gun stored in the same position for long periods of time. I live in a humid environment and I clean my guns around 2 times a year whether I shoot them or not. I take them out of the safe and wipe them down and re-lubricate them. I picked one of these up and I absolutely HATE the matte black finish. I wish Taurus would stop using it. You look at it, it will rust. I have the 605 and tired of the crap finish and had it cerakoted. I bought the pistol to use with my laser trainer. If they use a better finish, it would be perfect.
@@omarslim3362 I shot on one range outing. Probably put 100 rounds through. Zero issues whatsoever. Since I put Rig Oil on it and it’s in the safe. As a result, I had to Frankenstein a Sig p320 for duty. I sold all my Glocks. Now I want some Glocks again.

i would say if you can find the stainless slide version of either of these two, it makes the gun age a lot better and i think will have more resell.
when I got my g3c, it had a weird issue where the end of the recoil spring was mis manufactured and randomly every 10-100 rounds the end of the spring would jump links or something and completely jam up. stuck with a spent case in the barrel like a quarter inch out of battery after firing. would take a table and something like 50 pounds of pressure to overcome and force the slide open. it was actually really hard to diagnosis since doing this made the spring go back to normal and i couldnt figure it out for over a year. finally read a forum post about this and called up taurus. it was like 13 months after my purchase date but they still knew about the issue and sent me a replacement recoil spring free of charge despite being out of warrenty. after replacing that i had no further issues.
