Georgiana played the piano very well in the book. That's why everyone kept asking in the comments if Gigi plays the piano.
I love how the creators have made it clear that whilst this is an adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, the Lizzie Bennet diaries it still unique and different from it :)

That's my main thought since I started re-watch LBD!
I don't think Mrs. Bennett would be a "bigot" if she didn't want her daughter/s to have a lesbian relationship, as that would make it very difficult for that daughter to fulfill her wishes to see her married with babies. Also being against same-sex relationships does NOT make one a bigot.

I would very much argue that saying certain groups of people shouldn't be able to fall in love is in fact a form of bigotry. Also Gay marriage is legal in the US, and artificial insemination and adoption are both options for lesbian couples who want to have children. So I'd say both those goals are very achievable for lesbians and gays in the modern world.

More importantly, Lizzy went to turn the page to turn the conversation AWAY from GW before Georgiana knew that Caroline was mentioning him. This move both proved to him how sensitive Lizzy was to his discomfort with the topic and her willingness to protect his sister's feelings i.e.: she didn't hate him. You're right, a crucial moment.
i actually am quite in love with how Bernie, Hank, Rachel, and everyone else involved in making LBD are really invested in making every character in this amazing adaptation really their own person. *not being able to play the piano* just being one of the many tiny tweaks they've made.

G Gilbert (this comment is two years old but I feel the need to comment) isn’t being against same-sex relationship the definition of homophobia? As someone with a friend who is homophobic, there is no rational reason to be against same-sex relatioships, it’s literally just people being in love, why would someone be against it and need to be listened? Religion is the only thing I can think about and even then refusing to accept people being in love because of that seems more stupid than something to be listened. And lastly, if you think being called homophobic is an insult that demeans people you should consider that saying that people should not be allowed to be with whomever they choose even when that person is of the same sex is a dick move.

Well that just makes me love what they're doing with this even more! The variety of characters, and especially fleshing out of female characters that were relatively one-dimensional in the book, is awesome.

This is a rollercoaster, I feel we are nearing the point of no return!
I love the piano part, great reference to the novel and the need for women to have accomplishments.
I understand that they're trying to show that a woman is more than her accomplishments. But honestly in the book and the adaptations Gorgiana/Gigi plays the piano because she loves playing and singing. Not because she has too. Darcy gives her the new piano in the book and adaptations because he understands her love for playing and wants her to be able to excel at something she loves. Caroline and Lady Catherine are the main people in the book who values people most based on their accomplishments. I would imagine many people who asked about whether either Lizzie or Gigi play piano who play the piano themselves and wanted were possibly looking for a shared connection to the characters.
It's nice to see Lizzie in a good mood. She's been through a lot, but the worst, and best, have yet to come :)

There's Golden Gate Park (The Aquarium and DeYoung Museum) and the Zoo and the beach with the old windmill, and The Castro District and authentic Mexican food in the Mission, Toronado Bar which has 30 beers you have never heard of before and Grace Cathedral and City Lights Bookstore, run by poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Fort Mason and the Arboretum in GG Park and more.
