Tried this recipe and it worked so well (first time at least 😅), and still practicing. Only critic I have is that the sugar is way too much. I'd suggest about 2 tablespoons (1 for each cup of flour).
Finally found this!! I have been craving this for so long. A taste of home. I think I looked at a puff puff recepie months and months ago but forgot about it. But nice!
I have been trying this whenever we have flour at home but the way it comes out 😂 my family just laughs at me thankfully I found this page I will try this until I become a genius
I noticed many comments required measurements What worked for me: What worked for me 2 cup Flour 2 tbsp Yeast or 10 g Pinch Salt 4 tbsp Sugar 1 egg 1 big cup / measuring jug warm Water Optional Milk Essence * swap milk for water * Add a little Essence for taste 1stp of sugar in one cup of warm water (can make it warm milk or milk with water) add 2 tbsp yeast set assist for 3-5min Mix all dry ingredients add egg to yeast mixture Add wet to dry ingredients and knead (can add essence Cover and set aside for 2hrs Ready for frying Fry in deep oil medium to low heat is better for it to cook well & don’t make the dough too pourus a little thick will do
Yeast nayo..how do you prepare it? Re-record. We watch and we love it..just make it impeccable and clear so we can make vitimbuwas so far away from home. I searched for this recope.. please redo it. And inbox me..napapata.
Am I the only one who missed the measurements or they are just not there... Apart from 1 cup of warm water and tablespoon of sugar... how much flour, how much sugar, how much salt, water... Thanks though.
zippy kamande mandazi is different I think it’s equivalent to Zambian Madondoif you’ve ever had .. since they are abit boxy and more firm than a chitumbuwa

1and 1/2 a cup sugar seems a bit too much. I put 1 cup, still too sweet.
Just adjust the sugar to suit. Some like it sweet, some don't.
Exact measurements please

Which flour???
Normal white flour coz we add yeast. If u use baking flour which already is mixed with baking powder then reduce the amount of yeast
