Trust me, I’ve been working on a Spamton NEO model and once I got to the hair, that’s when I realized I should’ve started with anything but the head. Especially since I only have sprites for reference (because as far as I know, there aren’t any official pieces of Spamton NEO merch) and trying to get the hair to match at all four angles is so painfully tedious and difficult that I have just put the hair to the side and I decided I should start doing the rest of the body, so here we are.
The fact that you say the Spamton Neo animation may not be the best animation out there is crazy. You should have heard the amount of times I audibly said "Oh my god" and "Oh my gosh that's so cool" I basically said it right throughout the entire time I watched it. Easily my favorite video on all of UA-cam it's incredible.
Congrats on going into an animation program, seeing someone with such talent doing something they love is a treat in itself! Such cool behind the scenes as well, especially with the hair and initial concepts for Neo’s broken face, with it somewhat referencing the shaded part on Mettaton Neo’s face. And all of the little background details and script variations from the original cutscenes set the environment for this clinically insane used car salesman in a familiar but unique spin. That aspect cannot be overstated, it’s a personal favorite part for me, since a lot of the new dialogue still very much captures the essence of the character. Just know that the animation, music, and voice acting behind each of the Spamton videos has been, bar none, some of the best animations to hit the Deltarune community for a while. Whether or not you plan to do more on Toby Fox related games or not, I cannot wait to see what’s in store for the future.
@@haro1810 Thank you so much! Hopefully the program treats me well. I applaud how much you recognize too! Thank you for your kind wishes for the future
Your spamton videos are something else for real, even if no one else sees it. Especially the voice, i cant believe am saying this but I love the voice more then Alex's. I wish u luck with whatever comes next.
You and Tim are one hell of a team. I look forward to seeing where you both go from here :) Also as a beginner 3d modeler myself, I feel every ounce of your pain on Spamton's hair, WHY IS IT SHAPED SO WEIRD
Hey man, this video was great! I appreciate the peek at the driver setup for Spam's eyes, and I had fun looking at all the development stills and other cut animations and media! (Also I know what you mean about the struggle over Spamton's hair, I legitimately just kept trying to find a way to draw him that I was happier with, and doing it combed back was so much easier for me than trying to guesstimate the diagonal shape that it actually seems to be! XD) Your being self-taught is also super impressive- your motions are so smooth and arced, did you study the principles of animation independently while working on these as well? Also if you're still considering doing more Deltarune/Spamton animations in the future, I'd love to collab if you're open to it! I myself have been trying to come up with more Deltarune-related animation ideas outside of the recent projects I've been doing!
@@SkywardWarriorCosplaygamer Thanks for all the feedback! We had the same hair struggles too lol. It really is confusing I’ve never really studied the principles of animation and kinda forget they exist, yet I subconsciously follow them every single time I animate. It’s weird. The only time I studied motion is watching people walk for walk cycles lol A collab sounds fun! I’m open for that in the future for sure!
@2cool4school2 Well even after learning and practicing the principles, the goal is usually to animate without having to think about them, so your brain is onto something, haha! XD And awesome!!
God all i could imagine when you mentioned modeling is that 1 Spamton video where he metions bread and loses it except its you trying to make Blender work and frankly i would like to try modeling stuff but that most likely requires a computer... which i don't have, but anyways best of luck to you both

Hi, a small bit of advise for you, don't use scratchy lines, it's bad and amatuer.
