Alex Rudinger - Whitechapel - "Our Endless War"

- Опубліковано 10 жов 2019
- I've been down in TN this week rehearing with Whitechapel & tomorrow we're hittin' the road!. With that in mind, I figured another W.C. play-through was appropriate for my next upload. Here's the title track from 'Our Endless War' !
I recorded a bunch of new videos recently, with several different drum kits (just for fun!). I tracked this tune on my Tama Superstar Birch.
Fun story about this kit: It originally lived in England & belonged to Nolly. I used the toms from it (the 10", 14", & 16") on the first Good Tiger album, & afterwards the band bought the shells from him to use as our EU tour kit. I gigged around Europe with it a few times, & upon my departure from the band they offered to let me have it (thanks doodes!). It then took a quick trip across the great Atlantic, & now lives at my home in Maryland. So this kit's been all over, & it surely has some sentimental value to me. I quite enjoyed tracking with it again.
& speaking of Mr. Adam "Nolly" Getgood, he also did the (lovely & slammin') mix for this video. I'm STOKED with how it turned out (!!!) - if you're interested in hiring Nolly for any mixing work, please contact him using the email address below (he's truly the best in the BIZ!) -

Me: opens up a tuna can
My cat: 2:09
Lol
🤣
This song has so much more power as an instrumental.
"This drum mix sounds very explosive." *clicks show more* "Ah, that makes sense."
Nolly basically
Meh
True. Also helps a LOT that Alex hits like a man twice his size 💪
the snare instantly gave it away. tastiest snare in the business.
@@Raksh95 Lets hear your drum mixes LMAO
That cymbal mate on his main crash is tighter than a camel's arse in a sandstorm.
Nice performance as always!
Hahaha I came to say the same but couldn't have done it any more eloquently :P
I'd tighten that fucker all the way down too if I had a Meinl endorsement.
I like my cymbals pretty tight too. Not tight as that main crash but around the same tightness as the left side crash in this video.
Andy Ham why? Just for the shorter sustain? I’ve honestly always kept mine super loose.
The thing I love about Rudinger is that he can lead from his left or right. Takes alot of brainpower to make it look easy.. Masterclass level. 💪
that's called an open handed drummer, you must watch Bobby Jarzombek :)
Ben was/is such a beast on drums, he wrote some difficult stuff. That did not look easy lol. More Whitechapel!
What happened to the original drummer?
@@metalheadblues ben wasnt the original he was on the self titled album our endless war and mark of the blade. Before him it was kevin lane he was on this is exile and a new era of corruption. The dude from somatic defilement I forgot his name was the original for their debut.
@@Witness089 yep Kevin was the OG drummer. He played 2007 death core right. Ben played 2012 death core and navene reminds me a little of lane but isn't as good for Whitechapel as lane. This guy is too structured for whitechapel
@@Raksh95 Derek Martin was the original he played on the somatic defilement
@@Raksh95 kevin had the perfect groove for whitechapel.
You know that Ben Harclerode is a madman when Alex Rüdinger is exhausted playing his parts.
AMAZING as alway Alex, you're the best, my fav song of Whitechapel perfectly mastered and delivered...you're such a hard-worker, it's mesmerizing to watch.
Nolly is hands down the best modern metal producer on earth... sick tone as always
I love how you can tell this is a Nolly mix before you even click Show More and realise he mixed it. This should be framed, it's a work of art.
The dripping sweat. That's passion right there. Great stuff as always!
Never clicked on a UA-cam notification faster than this one! Instant like!
My mind is still scrambling on how someone would hit the dislike button??? Jealous much? Because alex puts out nothing but Top Notch playing!!!!!!
Jealous drunks.
Back when Whitechapel made sick music. Ben was amazing. Saw Alex at Graspop this year, couldn't ask for a better drummer for a Whitechapel now. He played flawlessly.
I love Alex's style since he played in Threat signal, but I'm suffering for those cymbals too tight!
I love those transitioning rolls from rim shots to 32nd's to 16th note trips
DAMN SON
those are some of my favorite rolls
makes you sound like a human drummer and not like most generic metal where everything is too even
I love the accents and all of it!
10/10 will watch 100000000 more times!
man I miss Ben in WC. No wonder he was a hulk, playing this is no easy feat.
The face you and a drummer makes after playing like that describes it exactly how i feel playing 1/4 of this lol
I had the pleasure of seeing you live Alex when you came to Melbourne, Australia and opened for Nile with The Faceless. Thank you for an awesome show.
tis is the most energic drum cover I've ever see
The drums drive this band even more so than the guitar half the time. Love the heavy cymbal work.
The end product of passion, talent, practice and dedication!!
Im the drummer of "Everyone Dies In Utah" so stoked to play with yall at the festival this November!
Love your band!
@@CaseyHayesVocals Thanks man! appreciate the support
You guys are rock SOLID. Hurry up and come to Australia dudes. You won't have any problems pulling a crowd over here, we love heavy music.
@@DwayneCreates Eyyy, would love to! Australia is on my bucket list for life anyway. Just gotta get someone like this dude to take us on tour with him. haha
0:48 That short fill on the snare was yum
That left hand lead and when the cymbals ring after the choke sooooo sick 🤘🏼🥁🤘🏼
So SICK! Can't get enough of your amazing drumming!
Oh man, one of my favorite songs by them. This is a treat! Alex, keep doing Whitechapel. We all love it.
endlessly binge watching ! killing it with these chapel vids!
I always get maddd chills watching your videos
This is phenomenal. As always!!!
I genuinely hope you become their full time drummer you fit and play the part so well, proud of you Rüdy ❤️
simply phenomenal every day better. I really like your videos
im out of breath just watching him. im convinced they fill the drum room with pure oxygen to keep him going. that's the only explanation.
Incredible as usual. Your dexterity is jaw-dropping!
Well Mr.Rudinger, you did it again. Perfect ;).
Those toms sound amazing man. Never stop making videos. It's been a privilege to watch for the past 10 years. Cheers
Mind blowing!
Alex you da man. That didn’t look easy. Kudos to you brother
I really wish we had an instrumental collection of all of white chapels albums. The vocals have their place in the music but their songs are all just fantastic to listen to without the vocals included.
Us mere mortals can only watch and listen in awe.
You’re a beast Alex! Amazing work
Unbelievable drumming ability! The timing and hand-foot coordination is amazing... Totally speechless...
you do this to yourself alex.. but not all for nothing. I love the passion and dedication that you show us. i haven't seen ur vids in 3 years but when i looked up your name, i already knew i wouldn't be disappointed. your hard work is always appreciated. please keep drumming!!
I love watching you hit your shit with so much passion man!
Caramba! A cada dia destruindo mais ainda na bateria, show!😁🥁
Alex: you are a legend. I have no words every time you jam. I jam with ‘ya!
I've taken several listens to this at this point. Several listens were spent just admiring those fucking guitars. They get to REALLY shine here. That's something I never knew I needed.
Another great performance from such a underrated drummer! Alex is a beast behind the kit!
Awesome as always. :D
kickass song. should be in more WC live sets, I watched a festival set a while ago, and all the songs played were the same half-time feel the whole way through. Good to change up the pace.
Always EPICC! YOU ROCK DUDE!
😍😍😍😍😍😍
great performance as always! love from Indonesia
You Never disupoints us, excellent!
Instant thumbs up! Killer job as usual!
give me food water weed and Alex rudinger play through videos and I'm happy forever
Man the drums sound PERFECT
Man I miss Ben's playing in Whitechapel
Right on man ! Wow, good for you.I have been a fan from TS on .
I like how the opening page with all his sponsors has the same Tama superstar kit finish as the background
Alex your performance is thight as always!!! Love your drum sound 🤘🏾👊🏾 greetings from the Caribbean Aruba 🇦🇼
Sooooo good😍😍😍👌
Phenomenal artist.
Awesome work, man!!! More Whitechapel! 😎👏👏👏👏
incredible

Genuis Alex simply
Sick cover as always Alex!
Realmente como musico lo felicito señor alex...demoledor en todo...sonido tecnicas composicion estilo...todo un exito.
Dear Alex! You are just a great drummer. I learn alot just by watching your videos. It's pretty clear that you are a hi-end pro, and it would be cool if you make a video about you growing as a drummer in all aspects!
Thank you for your time!)
Struth! Absolute beast!
What a beast of a song to play.
Wtf man! You have four brains....you hit these drumkit like a hammer. Awesome & powerfull!!!!!
Not taking away anything from you playing this song, cuz you’re awesome but I saw Ben live for this song and he was so damn impressive! He was truly one of a kind
This guy is just a powerhouse
I pity his drumset
It's midnight here and I just woke up even more than I already have. Insane!
Nailed it man! Well done!
So sick!!
*oh man! it's awesome cool!* 👍 🤟
Take a deeeeeep breath man. Insane 😳
Alex “THE MACHINE” Rüdinger
First time I saw him ever, this was the way I explained him.
Damn machine
Bert Kreischer might have some issues with that....
Very good drummer and fine song
I love the comments at the end. Shows the guy we all love!
Wowwww man, nice work 👌
Mesmerizing
I can see pure joy on your face Rudi!))
Wow 😮, Ben would be so proud 😁😂😂. Great job!
The symmetry between his left and right hand is incredible
Immaculate!!
What a machine!
Sweet MD tat!! I have a Boh tat on my arm with his mustache as the MD flag! Awesome drumming too!!
Whitechapels lucky to have you my friend. You are a beast behind the drums, and totally kill your kit. Love watching you play. Ben's parts in WC were very unique and difficult rhythms, impressive how smoothly and effortlessly you play his parts, even adding your own twist! keep this shit up, its fucking dope! 🤘🤘🤘
That was sick
Toca muito!! Toca pra caralho!!
That Tama slp dynamic bronze snare sounds perfect
Ben wrote some sick drum parts- great job covering the band 💪🏼
Copenhell poster on the wall!!! I saw you there and you was amazing Alex!
wow dude, u killed it like always!!!!!
Lol Yeah you can definitely tell how much he feels this song Lol. Great job as ALWAYS, Alex!
Perfect
Hearing this song without vocals makes me realize how great Phil boseman is. His vocals give a lot of life to the jams.
Killer drum sound !
