Why the hell can't WC keep a drummer, let alone Alex? It's mind-boggling and close to unacceptable... I've been following your work for at least a decade and this is probably the best their drumming has sounded. Looking forward to your next project because it's guaranteed to be a masterpiece.
I feel the same way. I mean this in a very admiring way, but I often lay down to sleep listening to Rudi and other drums alike and get the best sleep. The madness in this kind of drumming relaxes me.
Can’t really say anything to explain how much I love this.. I will be rewatching countless times into the future.. this is the pinnacle of metal drumming and drumming in general IMO
We are currently living through the "Rudy Era" of metal and I love it. I do not think that there has ever been such a prolific artist in the music industry, ever. I've been following you since before Ordinance got signed and you only had a handful of videos on your channel. I was actively touring/playing at the time and saw this 16/17 year old kid tearing it up...... and here you are, a decade later playing with/recording with damn near every single major metal band in existence. Fucking congratulations man. I am happy for you, your drive, and your success ❤️💪
I'm beyond inspired as a drummer. I only dream dream DREAM to play like this. I've loved whitechapel since 2007 and I love the new sound still and Alex's amazing drumming
I wish he was a permanent member of the band. :/ was bummed to see he wasn’t on the tour, though the guy they got did a decent job with his parts. Alex’s playing on Kin was great.
I love this album. The parts are tremendous. The mix is phenomenal. One of my favorites. Sucks that you had to part ways, but you in LTT is amazing also! Hopefully see you guys next month in Columbus.
Thank you for adding that description of the writing process! I absolutely love your work on this album and have been super curious what the writing process was like
It's no secret that Alex is a top tier player. An absolute virtuoso of his craft, no doubt. But I'm curious what he does physically to upkeep being able to play this kind of music. I'm asking because, I see him leaning so far forward during certain points, and I'd concern after doing that for years what that would do to his spine. Obviously he plays so many different genres, so maybe the "poor" posture isn't a long term issue for him? His playing is among the greatest we've had, but I'd hate to hear that in 10, 15 years, his spine develops a curve and prevents proper usage of his limbs.
I know u wont respond to this but when u decided to step away from them it definitely broke my heart some. I hadn’t really been into them until The Valley came out and the when kin was announced (came out on my bday!) and u were the new drummer i was floored! I too am from and live in Frederick so of course routing for home town drummer and the many people around here that know your name well! But anyway i was gonna get tickets to see u with them at Baltimore soundstage but once u made announcement i didnt pull the trigger because at that point it lost its luster some (but i absolutely still am a fan now have both The Valley and kin on vinyl and jam it regularly) long story short just wish that was the right fit and u sounded great with them. U have obligations with light the torch i believe but as much as i love howard in killswitch i just not a fan of this band but that’s my opinion 😅
The will of a beast is nothing compared to the will of a GOOOODDDDD
I didn't realise how much we need an instrumental version of the album. What amazing song writing.
right??? this song in particular sounds so meticulously crafted. every time i listen i hear something new

Watching and listening to you play is like therapy for my mental health, absolute legend.. Thank You
Indeed a legend

All of these years a lot of new badass drummers but Alex is still my favourite. Fooking 🥁 machine

Can’t really say anything to explain how much I love this.. I will be rewatching countless times into the future.. this is the pinnacle of metal drumming and drumming in general IMO
Bro, this is just beyond incredible!
best album opener of the decade
That snare sounds incredible!
One of my favorites off of the album
Never seen anything played so powerfully, yet with such crisp precision. Beautifully written parts as well, the whole ebb and flow of the song.

I freaking love this album!!!!
Wow very musically written drum parts. Incredible use of all the different sounds of the kit. Cant wait to hear more.
Righteous, I dig the dynamics in this heavy to chill back to heavy, and that Bass tone is brutal.
This MUST BE YOUR Song.
You played it so tight you MUST HAVE wrote it.

I wish he was a permanent member of the band. :/ was bummed to see he wasn’t on the tour, though the guy they got did a decent job with his parts. Alex’s playing on Kin was great.

Kevin
Lane was best.
Such a bummer they didn't treat him right :/

One of their best songs yet. Much thanks to you... =}
Always a pleasure to see you play. Great. cheers from switzerland.
What makes you so good is your timing and precise fills that you hit flawlessly, ‘power is nothing without control’
To reach this level of mastery behind the kit. The freedom. Awesome.... well hello there, merch store.
Regardless of what happened. will always love and appreciate you and whitechapel

The precision and the accuracy of every drum note! Truly amazing!
The dynamics, the precision... After all these years I'm still amazed by how much work you put on playing drums.

He is the real deal.
