Recommending a bunch of scary movies which are perfect for the Halloween season! Like and subscribe if you like this content. Enjoy and Happy Halloween!!!
Phenomena is one of my favorite horror films of all time and inspired one of my favorite horror video games of all time Clocktower. Can't recommend both enough, great list!
I didn't even know there was a "The Mist" movie. Looking at the release, Winter/Christmas 2007 I know why I didn't! I was hospitalized back then for awhile, and there's just a big gaping-long black hole of movies and media I have never heard of. I'll check it out!
Yo Jimmy, found your channel through your Stephen King vids a few weeks back and really enjoying the content. Keep up the great work brotha, you've got another loyal member of the Ka-Tet!
I might sound a little bit unoriginal here but it was the same for me, king book series video led me to here. I've really enjoyed your channel, got a follower here!Great job Jimmy.
Greast list! Phenoma has to be one of my all time favourites. If you're ever looking for a really messed up Italian film I highly recommend Beyond the Darkness. Goblin did the soundtrack to it too!
Hey I just wanted to say I think you make really great content and have inspired me to get in to King. Keep up the great work!! Also is that a Canadian accent I hear??
I was genuinely surprised by how good It Follows is. I put off seeing it because it sounded ridiculous, but turned out I was being ridiculous. Also Pumpkinhead is a true classic.
I forgot they made a Scary Stories movie. Those books are for kids, but I think they were an entire generation's gateway drug into horror. The original art in those is really amazing and so creepy. My yearly watch at Halloween is the original Dawn of the Dead, because zombies just seem fitting for that time of year.
I love all these movies! Haven’t watched Suspiria, Phenomena or The Last Exorcism though so definitely checking those out. I’m not really into exorcism movies but The Exorcism of Emily Rose would have to be my favorite because to me it’s more “realistic”. Also, just subscribed to your channel - Great content!
glad i found this video, saw ur stephen king ranking video and found it entertaining even tho im not into literature…but movies??? Now youre speaking my language
This list is so good! I would have such a hard time picking out movies for people to watch, they would walk away with a list of probably 50 lol. I always love watching B movies, especially horror. Hulu has a lot that I need to check out in October.
Great list! I love Suspiria-- very atmospheric (and, yeah, the red of the blood looks completely unreal). I've heard the remake is very good and completely different!
the remake is amazing and doesn't take anything from the original so there's nothing to be bitter about even if you're a super fan of argento. it has a very different tone, very serious, but the ending is great and well worth it
I’ve never actually sat down and thought about what my 10 favorite films would be but I always say that Candyman is in there somewhere. First discovered it because I saw that minimalism composer Philip Glass wrote the music for the film (he also wrote the music for the Hours). It’s a modern masterpiece (or is it retro at this point?). Rented the 2021 Candyman sequel last weekend and enjoyed it. I thought the storytelling was very spot-on but lacked the cinematography to match it. If you like the score to Candyman I recommend listening to other instrumental music by Glass.
Good video. I just added scary stories to tell in the Dark on amazon last night! Ill be checking out that pumpkin head and a couple others for sure. I am definitely not a fan of the satanic/possession type movies.
I can argue that all 3 of Frank Darabont's SK adaptations were even better than the source material. I think it's inarguable for The Mist and Shawshank, and _probably_ Green Mile as well. That's an insane feat by Darabont when you really think about it. Also I've heard he was slated to adapt The Long Walk as well. Imagine if that ever happens!
Love this! this is exactly how I do mine dude, I did a video like yours for what I was watching last year, I haven't seen the barn or Phenomena but I will check them out. I discovered your channel like one hour ago and now I'm binge watching your videos
Great channel and amazing taste!
Glad to see someone who likes Italian horror. Dario Argento, Mario Bava, and Lucio Fulci films are great.
Thanks for the list! Loving the content so far, I've subscribed and am looking forward to more!
I thought I recognized a fellow Canadian. Always nice to come across Canadian content makers 😉
I love a lot of these movies ! I was happy you mentioned The Fourth Kind and even the Hills remake. I'm curious to watch Phenomena now.
Greast list! Phenoma has to be one of my all time favourites. If you're ever looking for a really messed up Italian film I highly recommend Beyond the Darkness. Goblin did the soundtrack to it too!
I remember The Fourth Kind really freaking me out. Probably the creepiest alien movie I've seen.
Couldn’t agree more!!!
I feel it could of been better. It was almost like a poor man’s Communion (the book, not movie)
Honestly so cool to see someone actually recommend a movie like pumpkinhead. Definitely one of my favorite Halloween movie
Hi 👋 man. First time watching some great movie pick. And I'll be sure to subscribe.
Hey I just wanted to say I think you make really great content and have inspired me to get in to King. Keep up the great work!! Also is that a Canadian accent I hear??
Thanks I appreciate that!
And yes I am Canadian!
Hi there! Thanks for the video! Sending love from Poland! :D
I was genuinely surprised by how good It Follows is. I put off seeing it because it sounded ridiculous, but turned out I was being ridiculous. Also Pumpkinhead is a true classic.
Yeah it follows is so good. A lot of people pass on it cuz of the plot. Took a bunch of convincing to get one of my buddies to watch it.
I forgot they made a Scary Stories movie. Those books are for kids, but I think they were an entire generation's gateway drug into horror. The original art in those is really amazing and so creepy.

Zombies!! I knew I was forgetting something. I probably would’ve chose Day of the Dead. But Dawn is an absolute classic for sure!!
@@jimmymango Yeah, I think Night, Dawn and Day are all pretty hard to beat in the zombie genre.
I love all these movies! Haven’t watched Suspiria, Phenomena or The Last Exorcism though so definitely checking those out. I’m not really into exorcism movies but The Exorcism of Emily Rose would have to be my favorite because to me it’s more “realistic”.

Great list! Please do a vid on french new wave horror/extremity - I'd love your take on those! Great videos :v) thanks from Denmark
Subbed

yeah I think I should check out the remake. Thanks for the comment! 🍻

Yeah I just find the possession thing so over done these days. Hope you enjoy the others! 🍻
Horror movies are the best! Thanks for the list

Phenomena is very under appreciated- great pick!
The barn is so much fun! Great atmosphere too
Good list man 👍🏻
I always reach for Halloween III for that atmospheric October feel. Great soundtrack by Carpenter on that one. Great list! 🤘🏼🧔🏻
I don’t disagree with you there. Great atmosphere in that one!
Have you seen Peeping Tom? It’s an older film but one of my favorites

@@jimmymango Thanks man! I love your channel
B movies are awesome. There is an old horror movie called hard rock zombies. It's terrible and awesome. I'll have to check out the barn.
I am a Ghost is the best horror movie of the 2010s.. and you likely never heard of it
I have not heard of it. But I’m looking into it now. Thanks!
@@jimmymango cool! Some people hate it.. I was not one of those people. Watching this alone in the dark with my headphones on was quite a ride
@@jimmymango also. I like how you recommended the Hills Have Eyes. Def an underrated one. I agree that night scene was pure horror/misery
Hey do you have a goodreads?
I do yes…but I don’t use it a whole lot.
