The Lord of the Rings/Middle Earth Reviews | Book To Movie Comparisons

Reading and reviewing every book I could get my hands on from the Middle Earth universe. This includes our main novels in the war of the ring as well as all kinds of First and Second Age stories such as The Silmarillion and The Unfinished Tales.
If you are a fan of the movies but do not want to take the time to read all the novels I go over all the differences from the books to the movies.

I consider Sam is the main character of LotR, even if he is treated as if he is a background character. He is strong until the end, never even been tempted by the ring.

I agree for sure. Although he does put on the ring a couple times in the novels. Another difference from the movies. He put it on while trying to get Frodo back after he is taken by the orcs after being stabbed by Shelob.

Haven’t finished the video yet but want to say, I had the same experience reading the books where my favorite books vs films was opposite. I think this is because i LOVED the battle scenes in the movies, but it was so hard to visualize the battles for me when reading the books. So I really love getting to see it come to life in the films!

Read The Hobbit for the 1st time when I 10 - this is many many many moons and a millennium past. Obviously went onto LOTR and I love The Unfinished Tales. Love all your videos but this one is just FANTASTIC !!!

Turin is my fav character in Tolkien world,and in the end ,his destiny will be that he will be one that kills Morgoth...and btw in return of the king ghost army didnt fight in minas tirith battle,only for ships.(in movies they fight in minas tirith)

Hey Jimmy I had a question regarding the tower extended series, I havnt been able to find the stand extended version, so I was wondering if the normal copy of the stand would include the stuff related to the darktower, or is the material relating to the dark tower only featured in the extended and unedited version?

Reading Uncut edition will be fine. The correlation is basically Randal Flagg and the virus itself. Which is basically the entire novel. That edition is actually preferred by a lot of readers because it’s more to the point.
