Hmm...I'm pretty sure I read somewhere in the UA-cam constitution that if a content creator ever brings a pet into their household, they're required by law to show said pet on camera. I'd hate to have to report you to the Internet Authorities... 😉
Hey Jimmy’s back! Yeah puppies can be more time consuming than kids sometimes. Thanks for the recommendations mate! I’ll definitely have to check out This Perfect Day.
Good to see you back! I’m currently reading the new Grady Hendrix and will be picking up Suburban Hell. Thanks for doing these videos and congrats on the new puppy!
Welcome back! I totally understand the drama of having a new puppy in the house. Our German Shepherd is now 5 but we remember the fun and games we had with her as a hyperactive pup! I too am loving Robert McCammon and, after Swan Song and Boy.s Life, am constantly looking for new titles. I rank Swan Song in my "top 10 horror novels of all time."
i've been hearing a lot of good things about How to Sell a Haunted House that get me so excited, it's definitely next on my list. great rec as always, got some pretty good ones that look so interesting. adding them to my tbr right away! thanks and welcome back! xo
Have binged a couple of your videos and appreciate all the recommends as well as you sharing your King collection! Love seeing you give McCammon some love too. If you haven't already, definitely give Stinger and They Thirst a read.
Great to here a view on my favourite book for all time Ira Levin "This perfect day" There is very little discussion out there talking about Ira Levin so you just made my day... thank you.
UA-cam recommended your video to me and I'm so glad it did! I've been wanting to read Stepford Wives for years and now I've added This Perfect Day to my list as well. I haven't read any of the books you mentioned here, but they all sound so good. I have had Hide on my want to read list for over a year now as I've read another of her books and I loved it. I love getting good recommendations from booktubers! Thanks for a great video.
The King of horror recommendations is back! I've had some outstanding horror reads since Christmas....namely Endless Night and Come Out Tonight by Laymon, The Troop, Gone South (oh man so freakin good)! I've got Funland by Laymon lined up for a vacation in April too! I went on a Laymon buying spree and now own like 12 of his novels. Welcome back man once again, as a fellow dog owner enjoy the time while the dog is a pup!
You're the one I watch for horror books recommendations! Hope we'll get to see the puppy soon! I remember you showed us your cats in a video, how did they react to the new addition? Glad you're back!
If you remember the cats you must be an early subscriber! Thank you for that! It’s still a work in progress. The cats don’t like him very much at the moment. I’ll try and have him make an appearance in my next video.
Lindqvist is one of my favourite authors. Little Star was the last of his books I had to read and I read it in January and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to his new book coming out later this year! I have Gone South to read on my Kindle along with a few other ones, really loved Boy's Life, Swan Song and Speaks the Nightbird. Great recommendations!
Hide, I almost picked that up at HPB a few months back. I'm gonna check that out now. What you said about likable characters in Gone South is why I didn't love How to Sell a Haunted House as much as I thought I would. I couldn't stand the main character, Louise. Still a pretty good novel tho. On the lower end of the Hendrix scale. As far as recommendations, I think you'd really like Bentley Little. I'd start with "The Academy." Very entertaining. Really reminded me of that movie, The Faculty
I definitely agree with you on that assessment of haunted house. I love the Faculty so I for sure will look into that Bentley Little novel. I still have yet to read any of his books.
Good to see you back, Jimmy! These seem awesome! I finally got around to reading some Richard Laymon back during Halloween and I read Funland. I'm not sure if you've read that one yet but I really enjoyed it! I was also able to pick up a good handful of Laymon books at a used store back then which made for a really good haul. So, I'm looking forward to those! I'm glad everything has been going well for you. Take your time and take it easy man!
So glad to see you in my recommendations again! Was beginning to wonder if you'd come back and I've already watched all your others vids, lol. I've gotta get on McCammon, he's an author that's been on my radar since you mentioned him a while back and I haven't picked up his stuff yet. Also, if you're looking for something to read, I just finished "Confessions" by Kanae Minato--HIGHLY recommend.
I'm surprised you haven't done any reviews on Dean Koontz's books. I'm new to this channel though so maybe I missed them lol either way thanks in advance for the recommendations
Ira Levin is so freaking good! Absolutely love him! Rosemary's Baby is one of my favorite books ever. Bit of a warning tho, the sequel Son Of Rosemary was terrible
Hi Jimmy, Only just came across your channel and I tip my hat to you, you seem like a really genuine person and I am enjoying your opinions. I will definitely be trying out your recommendations. I have one for you also if you haven't read it, 'things have gotten worse since we last spoke and other misfortunes' by Eric Larocca. Its three stories and a very quick but very satisfying read. Keep up the great content ;)
Just finished Gone South recently. It was excellent. Like you said, great characters; weird characters. It felt like a David Lynch movie in book form. Very unique. McCammon is a big 4-for-4 for me so far (Boy's Life, Usher's Passing, Swan Song, Gone South). McCammon is an exceptional writer. His writing is very vibrant. Can't wait to start the Matthew Corbett series!
The Stepford Wives supposedly came to Levin after he'd visited the Hall of Presidents at Disney and was creeped out by the audioanimatronics. He wondered how far they'd go. Have you ever seen BLUE VELVET, the David Lynch movie? Talk about subverting stereotypes, it's a masterpiece of suburban horror. Also read Harvest Home, which is more rural horror, but whoa. Thomas Tryon is the writer.
Hey Jimmy!! New subscriber here. Love your video's! I have a recommendation for you. Ive just started reading the Harry Grimm series by David Gatward and am loving them!! They're part police procedural, part mystery, part thriller and 100% enjoyable!! Im already on book 11 and loving the series. The first is called "Grimm Up North". I really think you'd enjoy them.......
I ran through a few of McCammon's novels some years ago. Liked most of them, but loved _Boy's Life_. I almost wish they could make a miniseries or one season show from it.

Thanks Cliff! The puppy has been a handful but it’s been worth it!
My favourite McCammon was Boys Life for sure!

Thanks Milton! Funland was my first Laymon read and I was off and running after that. Hope you enjoy!
Just bought 'Hide' for my kindle- thanks for the recommendation!
Great, thanks for the recommendations
Thanks for the video 🎉
Yippee, good to see you back!!

"I've been really busy lately and haven't had time to read too many books" -- *has read more books than I have in the last 3 years.*
😂
Hi mate. Just discovered your channel and subscribed. Always on the lookout for new books. Any chance we can see your new puppy at some point? 😊
Great video Jimmy. Good luck with the dog it gets easier every day
Thanks for the recommendations. Have you heard that Stephen King's "Holly" is due out on September 5? Do you know if he'll be doing any signing?
I'm surprised you haven't done any reviews on Dean Koontz's books. I'm new to this channel though so maybe I missed them lol either way thanks in advance for the recommendations

Highly recommend The Boys From Brazil and A Kiss Before Dying if you haven’t read them
I first heard about This Perfect Day when it was mentioned on the Netflix show Travelers. Still haven’t read it yet but prioritizing it now.

I ran through a few of McCammon's novels some years ago. Liked most of them, but loved _Boy's Life_. I almost wish they could make a miniseries or one season show from it.
Cool video!
Have you read the Matthew Corbett series by Robert McCammon yet? Highly entertaining and I strongly recommend if you are working your way up to it.
You said how to sell a haunted house wasn't your favourite Hendrix book. Can I ask which IS your favorit?
Probably Guide to Slaying Vampires
Can we see the puppy?
Dead of Winter by Darcey Coates was good
What's everyone's favourite hendrix novel?
the southern book clubs guide to killing vampires
Hello Jimmy. What is your email for business inquiries?
Hi Marcel, please send me a message on Instagram and we can discuss. Thanks.
YAY JIMMYYYYY
You sound EXACTLY like Ashton Kutcher
Hide was terrible imo, how many characters do you need for a circa 200 page novella. The answer is about 17 🚩🚩🚩 2 with the same name.
I wonder how much anxiety, fear, and panic issues a number of people have nowadays is due to indulging in horror...
Finally your back
