    Great video. What I liked most is it was "real". You showed where you made mistakes and you showed were you had perfection. Thank you!

    The table had such an interesting pattern. This was very popular back in the 70's. My roommate decoupaged the wall in her room,,,then moved out.

    Very good idea. Thanks, Heather. Nicely done. I appreciated your including the things you did wrong or superfluously. One request: Please consider wearing a mask when you're spray painting. Even if one thinks the spray isn't bothering them, those particles go in the air, then in one's lungs where they stay forever.

    I took notes, you did a beautiful job with that table, it will take me some practice to do it the way you finished it. I really like how unique that turned out to be and the gloss really helps it to look authentic. Thank you.

      Heather Rohrer Would it be okay to use photos printed from an ink jet printer? Will printer paper be okay?

    • @hippielove240
      @hippielove240  9 років тому

      Michael Mike sorry it took so long to get back to you. that is a good question i recommend doing a test area maybe on something that you dont need or on the bottom of the table. if the ink is bleeding easily maybe try a spray sealant over the image let that dry and then do the decoupage

      Thank you so much! I saw this table at a restaurant, it had a thick layer of clear coating on it, so it was very durable. Do you know if they use the same clear coat protective or is ir some other thing? It had drip marks on the side, so I could tell it was redone. They weren't so careful. But the too was so smooth and shiny. They put different beer labels under it, cause it was a brewery. I wonder if I pour on the protective coat will it dry so clear and shiny. Also that clear protective coat its great for mixing glitter into and glittering anything you like really. The glitter doesn't flake off that way. That Martha Stewart glitter is gorgeous! Thanks again!

    • @hippielove240
      @hippielove240  10 років тому

      Laynee Walker as far as any other types of top coat i would suggest looking some up but the one i use in the video is the one ive been useing for a while and i really like it ive had the tables done for a while now and its holding up i might in a few more months add another coat just because its being used a ton and cups and wet things keep getting left on it. im sure there are a few other top coats i had done some looking into on resin tops and its not as straight forward as this is and because its made me nerves i havent used resin yet. altho ive played around with it a little and it would be the most durable as a table top coat.
