The cat deserves more credit for supervising this restoration and making sure that the work is done right. Thanks to the cat, this is a beautifully restored table, and the human has followed the cat's instructions well.
Is anyone else watching this video just to hear the sounds? I just love hearing hammering, drills and saws, etc. It is so relaxing for some odd reason.
Именно, расслабляет, у меня ощущение, как будто я маленькая и нахожусь в мастерской моего отца, видео умиротворяет, успокаивает, вселяет уверенность, что все будет хорошо! Спасибо Мастеру!
I think it’s amazing that an old table, which most people would have put into a skip, has been so beautifully restored. Excellent work. Particularly impressed that the original brackets were used. 10 out of 10 👍
My first reaction when I saw the finished table was OMG, that's unbelievable , gorgeous. You restored it and included all its years of history in the final vision. What a joyful result 🎉
Really really amazing work. I had a table like this that Dad brought to my New York City apartment, along with 2 caned chairs. I overlooked Lexington Avenue and was on the second floor. In those days, the street noise didn't bother me. The table sat just under my only large 3 part window. I don't think I really appreciated it enough. Knowing myself I was probably kind and excited and showed gratitude. But things were tough living and working/walking to my job. Got a place close to a job I didn't like. Lonely, a second job to cover the $895 rent, life wasn't easy. Did the best I could, really. Today receiving the table I would have cried in gratitude. In those days you think everyones going to live long and be well. Thank you for helping me process this time, thanking Dad in heaven. Thank you for your stellar work, it is indeed magnificent what you do. Utterly fine craftsmanship. I love to see it and I pray that you are more than content with you work and life. I am grateful for you. Much love and peace, Amanda
In my area the style of table is referred to as a "drop leaf". A great job. To help preserve your work on the bottom of the wings, you could ad a small piece of felt on the top of the pull out support. Narragansett Bay
Filling nail holes with dowels is one of my favorite restoration practices. It is so satisfying to me for some reason. The finish you put on this is fantastic. Great job! 🍻
Well done!! The before n after pixz are great contrasts. I love how you didn't just throw parts away but repaired them, altered n added pieces. Used rust remover instead of sand blasting machine. Gives me the feel of the original table that looks new. Excellent work!!! TY for sharing this ✊🏿💯😁

Wow. Just wow. You changed a disreputable, ready for a landfill table into a beautiful piece of furniture. I love the new color, because it made the wood look higher end. This is a beautiful restoration. Your furry supervisor 😻 is gorgeous.
I saw a table like this for $20 at a local thrift store that I passed up because it needed a lot of work. You did an amazing job at restoring this one. It’s gorgeous & apparently kitty cat approved.
Furniture like this is chucked away all the time now. But with some basic skills and love and care, it will outlast anything you can buy today. I love doing things like this.
Bringing old furniture back to life. My husband did this back in the day! Now he makes furniture and turns kitchen utensils and bread boards. This is a very comfy video to watch. Thank you! Beautiful work
I am about to restore a similar style table that is in much better condition than this one was, but now you have set the bar really high. This was so satisfying to watch and I love the finish. It has really inspired me. Thankyou.
Beautiful table. My table like this one was in an a flood and completely covered with water. My grandfather refinished it and straightened it much like you did. Made it brand new. Nothing like a solid wooden table. Bravo😊
To think I gave away a table just like that one(I retrieved from an MD lounge when our depart was majorly renovated) it was brought in years before by a retired MD . I loved the table and knew it could look 100% better, it was painted green. It had resided in my garage for at least 25 yrs. Oh well hopefully it went to a good crafter or artist’s home. Your table is great!

I get asked a lot about the color I used on the table in the finale, let me tell you: Borma Wachs Mahogany 62 dye.
Why do you use linseed oil and beeswax?
А у меня дома шкафы и кровать такого же цвета, но при покупке почему-то цвет назывался "итальянский орех", хотя очень похож, один в один мне кажется 🤔
