I won't lie, I'm a huge EA critic but this year they finally made some positive changes. Well done team excited for a new year! One thing I would like to see is squad battles rewards be less random. There is nothing more frustrating than both my buddy and I playing 36 games on SS and maxing shots/goals only for him to get 20k more coins and better packs due to randomness. If the rewards were win based like Champs this year or even if there was just milestones you can't fall below (ie 30 wins guarantees top 100) the mode would be much better and rewarding.
At least they kept all the features they had prior to frostbite engine, unlike NHL 15. I’d imagine NHL 23 will have improvements on top of this one, which will make the upgrade from 21 to 23 much better imo.
Love the puck physics, it's a little more life like. The kid bots are not going to like not having a bazillion 2 on 0 breakaways for their little cross crease pass goal hack. 🤣🤣💕 Defense is much more realistic

They are looking for the easy way out. Ea is still being passive, you will FAIL ea (stats don't show) if you don't really bust your BUTT. Having a 5 million ideas a day bails you out. Being passive will get you out of business. If you give them 5 dollars, you will get a 99 ovr player, they want your $.
Please keep this kinda long video format as well as the communication up for the future! its a shame to see how well off Fifa is compared to our beloved NHL, but with a community and developers who love the game of hockey, going forward as long as the channel of communication is clear I can only see a more fun nil game !
Im gonna be honest, im pretty hyped for this years nhl but knowing its ea you already know x-factors will be op and just impossible for goalies to save if its a x-factor for shots

In madden you can only have like 3 Xfactors active at once, so im thinking what happens is you have to strategize against the opponent’s x-factor players, maybe with a defensive x-factor or strategy when you see the opponents guy come out. Like if panarin is coming down against you with the puck you make sure he cant shoot off the wing
Online season or more two player modes please for HUT no offence but I believe the vast majority of us never really plays rush after the first month or so and it doesn’t work properly

Did EA add any new Co-op modes like online seasons (which was in NHL 17 so therefore isn't really new)? I'm guessing no because it's EA. EA doesn't want us to have too much fun (GM Connected 😑).
you guys need to make it so when ur playing hut starting out ur not going up with ur 78 overall team against an 88 overall team where there 4th line is way better then ur first.... great balancing EA
Pointless feature. It's a video game, not real life. The game is programmed to get calls on the ice right on the first try, there is no second try. Otherwise you're asking for them to purposely get calls wrong, just so we can have a coaches challenge.
To be honest I think almost everything looks great but I still think 20 games is tone to expect from players in 3 days for hut champs would have liked to maybe drop that down to 15.

U can’t tell already theirs gonna be a flaw in the xfactor cards and upgrading them with coins nhl has always been really hard to make coins unless you get lucky from a pack if they reward more coins then this won’t be a problem but I don’t their their gonna because their obsessed with pack based rewards
Hearing some of these guys talk is PAINFUL, either sounds fake as hell or they’re reading off a script they’ve never seen before and they barely know how to read as it is

I’m actually very excited for the game! These changes are what i’ve been wanting for a while.
Some solid strides were made this year no doubt and will definitely give HUT a much needed refresh.
If its anything like madden, the X-Factors will actually make the game more interesting, so i’d be down for that.
