I don't like the celebration cutscenes, tho I think it could look cool once in a while, for like a big achievement but not every single goal... I like the fact that you can skate around with your player before celebrating and have control of your movements

It looks way better this way. Celebrations are often shown up close and I like that the celebrations we choose will now actually appear on the screen in more of a cutscene form.

So the crowd gets going audibly but also has the same movement as normal in the stands. Maybe add a few annimatinos where as pressure buildings in the O zone for the home team the crowd starts to stand vs when they are getting pressure in the D zone they are sat back more in their seats. Also on a PK for a big clear they get up and clap. Small things that aren't just audio chant based.
Facts. Bunch of other stuff too they can easily add but chose not to year after year because we are forced to settle with whatever they want to do because there is no new hockey game outside EA’s. :/
@@edited1325 there are options in the sliders to change how the game plays. i always make the game as realistic as possible. recent games always felt too north south, no possession just skate down the ice and look for a cross crease. im glad that the online experience wont be like that anymore.
Also, why does it seem like we ultimately have to lose things to gain new things in this game. Gain dynamic board, lose dynamic stats, gain new intros, lose goalie intros. This stuff is in the game. Can it not be just be added. Is there that many inconsistency with the implementation of these new features?
The puck still doesn't react with the back of the net realistically. Imagine how much more diverse scoring would feel if it sprung back out or bounced off the inner bar, every goal would be unique. Small detail but it would change the feel of the game a lot. FIFA has had net physics since like PS2. NBA has real net physics. Pretty much every game that has a net, its important.
Why can’t they just do a realistic presentation a intro where teams come out or come in at the back end of the Anthem then show the starting goalies give it more authenticity

I love how they're so proud about the presentation when it's the worst they ever had ... every year it seems like they remove things we like to put in things no one likes. Why would give the smallest minority of players what they want like no blade tape or focus on the players that play with no sound instead of actually improving key details the game lacks.

@@fizz3221 as of now no......but i agree whole heartly i def think they should of made it were it was for special event goals and worked on team celly's vs solo.....or have a solo celly lead into a team celebration like you score and do your solo celly' and then turn around and hug your teammates but i think the game need's to be able to determine the goal type to determine the kinda of response you get from your team mate's like if you score in the first 5 min's then it would be a more exciting response from your team if its a regular goal then obviously just a fist bump and if its the game tying or game leading goal then it needs to feel like it is but it seemed like in nhl 23 and every other game and maybe even this one the less important goals are celebrated like champion ship goals and even the wins you have in nhl 23 some of the way your team reacts jus seems over done

Another year of EA slowly adding a feature they removed 10 years ago. Just remaster '14 with no changes other than roster updates for us offline players, make HUT a live service and give us back an actual hockey simulator instead of Fortnite on Ice
Gameplay-wise, we need better CPU support on the forecheck. There needs to be passing lanes and options for the puck carrier, right now in 23 and historically, there's many times I'm circling the offensive zone forever waiting for my team to form the umbrella or 4 high, or to just drop back to the blue line on the forecheck seems to be impossible. The teammate players don't form a play, they just hover around. That has to be fixed, its such a big problem.
I like them, just think they should come along with the replay after the initial celly and goal happens instead of right after the goal. Otherwise animation wise they're sick.

Minute 0.41 to 0.45, the LD is not in position nor reacts (ridiculous). The defense continues to be... instead of improving gameplay, they waste time making sticks without tape. More of the same ...
If players don't use tape they should have a negative puck control stat or something. Not using tape on your stick in ice hockey is completely uncalled for. Some even say it's questionable to not put wax on said tape. So the idea that players can have sticks without tape and have just as much control as others is pretty unrealistic.
I know this trailer says nothing about how the gameplay will be...but these are some nice features they are adding to the presentation side of the game! Looking forward to this game when it comes out!
Why no Windows release? It seriously doesn't cost anything to make it digital download. If I owned a company I would put my content on all platforms! Why limit yourself on the amount of profit you can make. Seriously the game is on X-Box why not add it to PC / Windows?1
I haven't bought any NHL games for a few years now due to not being filthy rich, but regardless, I'm NOT surprised to hear that they removed a TRUE BROADCAST mode, but even more, I'm SHOCKED to hear that they brought it back! I didn't think anyone used this camera mode from all the NHL video game UA-cam videos I've seen. They are ALWAYS top-down view from 30 years ago (which should have technically DIED in NHL 98). I'm really glad to hear there are actually some people who play this game with the CORRECT camera angle. I might actually buy this one if I catch it on sale. lol Cheers!
The goal celebration animations are awful. You can’t even press different buttons to do a different celebrations. The angle of the camera for the celebration is awful. It’s so arcade styled. And in shoot out, you can even pick your goal celebration at all. Pls change it!

That "Flex moments" camera though. Why is it on the ice? I liked the early 2000's (I played 2002 and 2003) celly camera, but this one just feels weird. It feels too far away and the way the light dim looks really weird because, obviously, they don't do that in real life. I wish that it happened every once in a while, the lights didn't dim and that it was more shots from the glass/zoomed in on your player and not leaving so much room for other players to be seen. Instead of the camera being on the ice. That's just my opinion, and if you like it, you be you.
One thing I'd like to see in Franchise is getting rid of the silhouette they have for created players headshots and have the created player face like they have in every other sports game! It's wild that NHL has never had that
I remember EA devs said it would make loading menus take much longer. But if they load the generated inbetween seasons it would only mean generating those headshots once per season. It's just another lame excuse for not bringing it into the game.

@@fizz3221 as of now no......but i agree whole heartly i def think they should of made it were it was for special event goals and worked on team celly's vs solo.....or have a solo celly lead into a team celebration like you score and do your solo celly' and then turn around and hug your teammates but i think the game need's to be able to determine the goal type to determine the kinda of response you get from your team mate's like if you score in the first 5 min's then it would be a more exciting response from your team if its a regular goal then obviously just a fist bump and if its the game tying or game leading goal then it needs to feel like it is but it seemed like in nhl 23 and every other game and maybe even this one the less important goals are celebrated like champion ship goals and even the wins you have in nhl 23 some of the way your team reacts jus seems over done

Another year of EA slowly adding a feature they removed 10 years ago. Just remaster '14 with no changes other than roster updates for us offline players, make HUT a live service and give us back an actual hockey simulator instead of Fortnite on Ice
Now they only thing missing is NEW LOGO and JERSEY TEMPLATES i only play offline mode , this would perfect

Gameplay-wise, we need better CPU support on the forecheck. There needs to be passing lanes and options for the puck carrier, right now in 23 and historically, there's many times I'm circling the offensive zone forever waiting for my team to form the umbrella or 4 high, or to just drop back to the blue line on the forecheck seems to be impossible. The teammate players don't form a play, they just hover around. That has to be fixed, its such a big problem.

I like them, just think they should come along with the replay after the initial celly and goal happens instead of right after the goal. Otherwise animation wise they're sick.

If players don't use tape they should have a negative puck control stat or something.
Not using tape on your stick in ice hockey is completely uncalled for. Some even say it's questionable to not put wax on said tape. So the idea that players can have sticks without tape and have just as much control as others is pretty unrealistic.

I haven't bought any NHL games for a few years now due to not being filthy rich, but regardless, I'm NOT surprised to hear that they removed a TRUE BROADCAST mode, but even more, I'm SHOCKED to hear that they brought it back! I didn't think anyone used this camera mode from all the NHL video game UA-cam videos I've seen. They are ALWAYS top-down view from 30 years ago (which should have technically DIED in NHL 98).
I'm really glad to hear there are actually some people who play this game with the CORRECT camera angle. I might actually buy this one if I catch it on sale. lol

The goal celebration animations are awful. You can’t even press different buttons to do a different celebrations. The angle of the camera for the celebration is awful. It’s so arcade styled. And in shoot out, you can even pick your goal celebration at all. Pls change it!

That "Flex moments" camera though. Why is it on the ice? I liked the early 2000's (I played 2002 and 2003) celly camera, but this one just feels weird. It feels too far away and the way the light dim looks really weird because, obviously, they don't do that in real life. I wish that it happened every once in a while, the lights didn't dim and that it was more shots from the glass/zoomed in on your player and not leaving so much room for other players to be seen. Instead of the camera being on the ice. That's just my opinion, and if you like it, you be you.

One thing I'd like to see in Franchise is getting rid of the silhouette they have for created players headshots and have the created player face like they have in every other sports game! It's wild that NHL has never had that
I remember EA devs said it would make loading menus take much longer. But if they load the generated inbetween seasons it would only mean generating those headshots once per season. It's just another lame excuse for not bringing it into the game.
