I used to make these in half-pint Ball Quilted Crystal canning jars. I did 2 layers of each the components (crumb mixture, cream cheese mixture and pie filling). We called them "No Bake Cheesecake Parfaits". I used cherry, strawberry, blueberry, blackberry pie fillings. I haven't made them in a very long time.

Since these are extremely large servings, why not make them in half pint mason jars? Each one would be 8 ounces which would be a nice size and you could put the lids on to store them in the fridge. You mentioned that someone sent you small canning jars And that would make a very nice size. You could call them pie in a jar or half pint pies.

I was thinking of making a cherry pie for my brother inlaws upcoming birthday. After seeing this I was reminded of a recipe I made in the 70's called Cherry Cheesecakes. A vanilla wafer is placed in a cupcake holder. A filling similiar to yours and the cherry topping. 🍒 I like the idea of a small glass custard cup, for a smaller portion, reflecting on the glasses you used to show off the layers. I think I'll try your recipe that way❣️ I enjoyed being in the kitchen with you tonight. Blessings🥰
You were talking about having mismatched dishes and old pans but now that I’m older and my husband and I have our children grown and gone we can buy more. With having nice dishes, matching utensils, nice pans, etc it seems I worry more about breaking them or ruining them. I was happier having chipped plates, mason jar glasses, mismatched utensils etc than I am now. Material things doesn’t make things better it’s the fun family time. One things I do when I have done something like this before and with deviled eggs mix stuff up in a gallon bag and cut the corner and squeeze it into the container. Then through away the bag. No clean up necessary and no mess.

Sky High Cherry Pie ! Hint : I used a ice cream scooper to drop it into glass. I also put this into extra large glass coffee mugs with handles. It was a huge hit at our dinner party. I made a batch with blueberry/raspberry it was good ! Thanks Mamaw from the Oregon Coast

I have an idea... If it were me I would use the small mason jars then that way they would have lids to put on them. And if you can't finish the whole jar you could put the lid on it and save it for later. You could also decorate the lids and give them as gifts for Christmas. And I would call it, "a jar of pie." 😉😊
