Free Bloodletters spawning anywhere on the battlemap (including within' their artillery squad) is another blessing you did not get from gifts to Khorne.
This seems really fitting with the lore, the Khorn army not bothering with building anything and simply razing everything in their path, summoning more and more daemons

Im not sure to be more impressed of you forgetting about the skulls for the skull throne button or managing to accomplish this without using it, you took an extra challenge
Skarbrand should be a horde, I've thought so since the first day. At leat make global recruitment easy for him! He's supposed to teleport around the world with cults and rampage through continents but really you need to play defense for most of the campaign
IKR! Playing normally you're only likely to get a single Cult going up north where Valkia starts, maybe more if she doesn't get blown up (AI Valkia always seems to get blown up early for me). That means you're not gonna be teleporting anywhere even if you could afford to.
Tbf global recruit is easy for him when he has a 9 win streak, which is quite easy to get on Skarbrand. The other stacks might struggle a bit with it. In general, if Skarbrand is sitting back at any point for more than a 2 turn recruitment+full replenish, something has gone wrong. Always Be Choppin'

@mattlievens3573 true, but if your homeless you probably need way more blood hosts, skulls are kinda just there. For the most part though I suppose you can use the skulls for the skull throne, but you don't need much money, the summons are probably the best thing it does.
Skarbrand was exiled from Khornes realm, so realistically he shouldn't have a settlement. He should have no settlement and just be a pure global recruitment faction with massive post battle loot bonuses.
it recruits last, after building/upgrading/demolishing buildings and after changing commandments so you can change to the recruitment commandment the same turn you start recruiting and it'll be as if you had it on all along
Well, you don't get the extra recruitment slots some commandments give. IDK if you actually get the other bonuses (rank up/cost down) but if you do that's pretty handy.
Another good choice would be VCoast who can operate with no home province with no homeless attrition at all, with horde buildings and raise dead for recruitment
Ive kinda done this in warhammer2. Played Lyonesse modded in, lost my capital and only region to Mousillon. But instead of restarting, i sent him down to Araby, he was doomed to a life in penance. Running around smashing other armies until death. Took forever due to the armies taking attrition always when not in encampment. I had a ton of fun tho.
Just finished a Count Noctilus run where I was a pure pirate just sacking and raiding coastal settlements. 90% of the time I had zero settlements because Galleon's Graveyard was razed early on. But his hoard style mechanice where the army itself is settlement-like made the run very doable as long as I was constantly fighting. It was very refreshing not having to worry about empire-building. Just a globetrotting murder hobo with the Sword of Khaine.
One strategy I've employed as Skarbrand to help with the money situation is to find areas where I can ping pong between settlements. Raze them for the money if its worth it, then do the same to the neighbor. Come back to the first one the following turn with its depleted garrison and raise a Bloodhost. Then go back to the second one and do the same. The size of the Bloodhost is not affected by having previously attacked the settlement so you can get the best of both sacking and razing. It just takes a little longer and you'll have to be a little more careful with casualties, especially with this playstyle.
You honestly did this on extra hard mode without using the Skull Throne ability at all. While that's active you could have had 2 more units for every Blood Host, Summoned from Beyond ability in battles, more money from post battle loot, and more movement range after razing settlements.

One thing you could do that would let you still recruit units without a home province: Allies. If you build an outpost in an ally’s settlement you’ll be able to recruit units from them, and if you get an ally of the same culture as your faction you can get units that you’d normally be able to recruit. Also, if you ever do another one province campaign why not try it with Franzy boy? You’re hard locked into only having the Reikland, but you have to run around the rest of the empire returning settlements to their elector and putting out the endless brush fires that pop up everywhere
The Dark Elves could do a homeless campaign as some of them start with a Black Ark which will allow you to keep recruiting and the can assault costal settlements.

I enjoy the label of "homeless Skarbrand". Like everyone around him is kinda eubbing it in, right before he knocks down their door and burns down the whole village
when your fighting a 20 stack and another army if you have a reinforcing army you can set them to AI control and turn off control large army this makes it so you and the enemy can only field 20 units at a time the game doesnt count your AI allies as your force so they can deploy their armies at the same time yours are alive but the enemy forces cant which allows you to field more units at once than the enemy
