Wow! Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it and I'm glad you're getting value from my content. I'm still pretty small but I'm giving this channel my all and the encouragement is really appreciated.
I am interested in the Mikolo M4 Smith Machine but have some questions about it: 1. What are the usable interior dimensions of the rack space between the inner edges of the crossmembers/uprights? 2. What are the dimensions of the rear support feet sticking out the back of the rack on the floor? 3. What is the highest height from the ground the smith bar can reach? What is the lowest it can reach with and without the safety stopper installed? 4. Does the cable system support 1" plates with a removable sleeve like the storage pins or only 2" olympic plates? 5. Can you flip the pull up bar upside down to save vertical space? Does this interfere with the smith machine or any other aspects? 6. How long are the smith bar sleeves for loading plates on each side? 7. Can the outer free weight safety catches withstand a 300lb or 400lb bar being dropped a short distance (under 1ft) onto it? 8. What is the realistic weight capacity of the J-Cups with someone bringing down the bar and trying to rack it? Not just the static load weight capacity. Sorry for all the questions just trying to get a full understanding of the machine and if it will work for my usage and space! Thanks!
I just put an M4 together, and they seem to have listened to your complaints. The leg holds are now on a pin, which I appreciate for using the catch for bend-over rows. Cable ends are on a ring with 4 adjustment holes. Much better. Having a Dip and T-bar on a home gym is an awesome add...and The Fonz can never be wrong! Great review, thank you!
First of all you just made my day for knowing who the Fonze was! But secondly congratulations on the Smith Machine! Thanks for your reviews. I am just starting to look at this companies products. I have a question: On the smith machine how far down is the starting point when doing deadlifts on the Smith Machine? A lot of smith machines sit high at the lowest point so doing deadlifts isn’t really great, the lower the starting point the better it is to do deadlifts and I like a smith machine to act as a supporting mechanism to help with doing my regular deadlifts off the floor. Thanks.
Yes you're going to find the same kind of limitation on deadlifts with this machine that you find on others. It's higher then a free floating Olympic bar so I typically use a stepper when deadlifting with the fixed Smith machine barbell.
Nice review brother! I've never seem a Smith Machine system with all of the attachments. If a person got this system; they probably wouldn't need a gym; thanks for sharing.
Sure love your energy. It’s very clear you love what you do. As far as the leg hold down attachment…try using a hitch pin (that’s the pin that secures a trailer hitch). That way you can just pull it in/out
Thank you I appreciate that and I think something like that is exactly what I need to do. I keep working around it but I need to go ahead and try that. Thank you!
Take you a pipe that’s long enough to go across from one pulley to the other, sit in the middle and use the Olympic bar on the j hooks to hold your legs down. That will allow you to spread your arms wider and get more underneath them for lat pull downs
You could probably get a trailer hitch pin that would be almost the perfect size to get rid of that nut/bolt set up for the knee hold down. Harbor freight $4.99 would probably solve the inconvenience
