I'm a 76yo guy who has not had to do yard work in 20 years having lived in a maintenance free neighborhood for 17 years and now after hiring guys in our new neighborhood for 3 years decided to do it myself. When I cut our lawns before the maintenance free neighborhood I only mowed it and that was it. No trimming, no nothing just get it cut and keep going. So now I have a new electric mower, electric stringy thing, electric edger and more and I had to learn how to use these gizmos but I'm glad I did. I notice you whack the little weeds growing between the sidewalk cracks which I never do and I'm not sure why you went back with the weed wacker on the edged area but I'll try it. Anyway thanks for tips and thanks for helping out that lady and her son!

Since finding all of you wonderful people who make these lawn care videos I have really started working on my yard. I xeriscaped my front yard several decades ago because of the steep slope and the time and effort it took to maintain for grass nobody walked on. I had a metal edger that kept the grass contained and the edges crisp. When I no longer needed a grassy backyard, I converted that area as well. I had 12,000 ft2 of grass and it is so much easier to maintain now. A little weeding now and then, pruning as needed and watering during severe droughts for some plants to look their best. I don’t know why I watched your video since I even gave away my lawnmower 6-7 years ago but a crisp edge that you provided just really makes the yard look better. The proper tools do help make the work quicker and easier.

I loved it when she said she was doing it the way her Daddy taught her. I live in a rental and my landlord does the lawn but if he takes too much time, I get out there and do some edging with scissors and mowing with my reel mower, ha. My Papa did not let his grass or the neighbors grass or the grass at the church get too high so I have a little bit of that mindset in me.
I literally took a break from mowing my lawn and lamenting about how I need to edge next with my crappy gas-powered edger and I came inside to cool off and watched this video and tears literally started falling. God bless you, kind man! What a nice video.

I was using a string battery operated edger and weeder Until I saw the blade in action My arms and legs stay in constant pain and in Texas heat I want something that does the job quick. My property is too big for me yet I just can't move right now. I wanted to say thank you so much for helping that lady out I wish there were more good men in this world today that believed a good deed will be rewarded by your Heavenly Father so you never have to ask for money when doing a good deed for another I appreciate what you did today Thx and Take Care and thx for info on the edger I just bought haha 🤣 Hopefully my hour job gets a whole lot quicker without having to change the string put constantly from breaking and those horrific back and forth motions those string edgers cause you do I'm learning my husband would be proud! And weed wacked. So many yards look terrible because they've allowed grass or weeds to grow around an item without picking it up before mowing.
