Nice review Mick, looks a decent machine
Hiya Rileyboy
Riley is very smart young man.
They say that size doesn’t matter, but I will stick with my 21 inch Mountfield with Honda 190 cc engine and rear roller petrol I love it. That’s actually a really nice looking mower Big Fella.
Looks good but no rear roller
Good review Mick. Ego's seem decent bits of kit from what I've seen, kind of like Teslas of the mower world. I don't know if I'm ready for battery power yet as I'd need more than one battery and it'll get a bit pricey. If I was buying a new mower tomorrow it would 100% be a Masport Rotarola, but that said I could see me having an EGO someday in the more distant future when the battery packs have evolved a bit.
Cheers
I am not quite ready for electric. I will admit they are getting better all the time
Also meant to say Mick and Riley Boy! Congratulations on your 20,000 followers. I like the way that anyone can follow your instructions on a repair , due to how you show, talk and repeat things to help. A lot of videos that people do, you’re having to second guess on an instruction that they may give as, not easy to understand and move on because they’ve done it a 100 times and can do them with their eyes shut, yet people watching these videos are obviously in need of guidance and keep costs down as can’t afford to send to proper mower repairers, hence your way of coming across, makes it easy and not panicking that you might
Of done it wrong. Keep them going mate.
Great video, very nice machine
I could not get that EGO in the US probably because I think the UK Has 220 volts system while here in the US is 110 Volt but a similar one is about $900 US dollars. I can buy AWD Toro for half that price. I like gas mowers.
Nice review Mick looks like a nice bit of kit I'm begining to think that is the way to go now i have already got battery hedge cutters and they are awesome love the hat 👍👍👍👍
It's a good bit of kit mate .. I was impressed
That is a big box that mower is been sent to Mick the mower man
Wow nice that's a nice bit of kit Mick , I bet its nice and easy for me to push with me having disc problems
Easy.. and does a good job too..
Nice review Mick, seems to be a good mower. 🙂👍
Hey Riley Boy!!! 👋
Great review Mick, thats a good idea to have the key up on the handle bars 👍
Mick, as a petrol head, I never though I'd ever move to battery power, but I've had this same 19" EGO for over two years and absolutely love it. I like the light weight much more than my Harrier, and amazed how much grass it packs into the grassbox. And as it doesn't give stripes you can mow in any direction and the lawn still looks good. I like the key where it is to be honest, leave mine in all the time but remove the battery instead. Note: The blades won't run if the handles are collapsed, or folded as there is two safety switches.
Hi Mick, looks a nice bitof kit with some good features on it. Totally agree with you regarding the key placement and should be on the handle somewhere, can't be hard to do as wiring is already in ttubing for the variable speed control and would be so much safer, well done Riley Boy for spotting the lights 😉👍.
i have the lm 21 for 6 years with no problems just bought a new one yesterday for the buisness double cut brilliant bit of kit
That must be a first the washing is out and she's not a smoker 😂😂😂👍👍🤠 nanna will be happy
Good video Mick. Most of Ego’s lawn products use the same battery profile. It’s a good thing too as they don’t seem to last as long over time. A better option might be a machine that uses two batteries at the same voltage.
Great review ,
20 odd years ago i had a long garden that the electric lawnmower i had would 'just' cut the grass, if i plugged it in to the house and did one end and then plugged it into my workshop to do the other end ,
Well i bought a 'cordless' one , because it was a faff and the cordless one cut the grass , but if you left it more than a week between cuts then it was useless, i swore then i would never get another cordless , since then i have used petrol ones and with maintenance they have been great ,
This review has changed my mind about cordless ones as i was sniggering that no way was it going to cut that grass but dang you just cut the grass , doesn't seem much to everyone else but to me that was great ,
And yes i see your point about putting the key on the handle but i can see a problem , rain and damp will get into the socket and corrode it big time , yes you could put a flap over it but that will be a faff to be lifting the flap to reinsert the key after emptying the bag every time , might be an idea to either have a magnetic proximity key that sticks to the handle so then it would be sealed and never get corroded , and it just hangs to your wrist so when you empty the bag it follows you and kills the mower
Yeah they ain't for me battery's I honestly couldn't use them anyways thank you for the video I Riley boy
Nice little mower Mick. I just did an Ego unboxing on my channel for my cousins new mower. Ego LM2142SP. Dual 56 volt 5 Ah batteries.
Nice.. I will have a look

Ah Mick, can I have that please? 😁My Honda is more than likely fecked because the rota blade clutch is gone and the repair shop is not very confident that a replacement can be found due to the age of the machine. Apparently the newer type are not interchangeable 😞 Looks fairly easy usable.
Sure.. come and get it 😁
@@themowerman okay thanks, 😀looks powerful enough
Apparently the EGO is a very good mower, I've seen it in other reviews cutting much longer grass than yours with no problem, the idea of a key on the handle is a good idea, something along the lines of the ones used on tread mills or jet ski's, if it gets away then the key comes with the operator and kills the machine.
How long do you think the vari drive will last? It looks a bit flimsy. I like the Hayter/Toro sensaspeed. The faster you walk the faster the machine goes, stop and so does the machine! Good stuff.
Well people have been saying they have had it for 3 years with no problems... Time will tell I guess
Having the key on a lanyard is a good idea. Even with all the safety features, there is always that unexpected event. By the way, that lanyard is required on certain watercraft here in the US.
Yeah... It's a good idea I think
Would love one of these but a bit pricey for me. I mow our lawn twice a week and think my neighbours should do a whip round cos I know they all hate my mower noise lol.
Not a lover of electric mick but that seems promising I must say got some nice features but like you say key should be at the bar controls
lm lawn mower 19 inch self propeled
Nice one Mick, do you get to keep the mower ? result if you do
No mate it's going back.. shame as Mrs p likes it
I thought that looked pretty easy and straightforward for anyone to use, seemed to deal with a long grass well! I really do rate the EGO batteries and if I’m correct Mick! Once you take that key out, am I right in saying the battery can’t be taken out or basically nicked? On the Cobra Fortis Ego, I’m sure that’s the case and seeing the key is the same, I’m wondering if the same function is on that one? How much are they roughly? Was the 3 year warranty on battery alone or battery and machine? Great video and as you said, it couldn’t be easier which will suit a lot people who simply just want to have a, I guess reasonable priced mower to keep the lawns cut and not a freak like me and the love of cylinder mowers.
I will see if the battery can be removed with the key out . 3 years on the battery and 2 years on the mower.. they are about £400 for the mower and an extra £200 for an additional battery
Wonder how often somebody will loose that key being so small & not on a lanyard or fob? Only saying

How much is a replacement battery?
Mick!! Sorry for being thick but at the beginning, you mention it’s from Cobra?? Do they make them in partnership with Ego, or Ego bored their technology?
Yeah Cabra sent it.. they sell ego too..
Nice video but I have a question. How much are the batteries and how long will they last and heavy heavy grass so should I get two batteries and what did the unit cost so how much would it be altogether?
Hi mate .. the mower is about £450.. a spare battery is £200.. run time of about 40 to 50 mins..
Or could the Gentleman go for a 10A/H battery Mick? Save money I’m sure, instead of two? The rapid charger is great and also to mention, the batteries don’t have a life brain, ie, if you charge at half empty, it does no harm and won’t think half empty
Means run out.
Yes you can get the bigger battery
battery mower not for me Mick Mate but good watching
Got to cover it for everyone mate ...
Great for domestic gardens, but i would need a stack of batteries for my buisness lawns, and i don't really want to sell a kidney.Imagine if we were all battery. What would you fix?No more small engine repairs.Aaahhhhhh i couldnt stand it mate.
