- FIREWIRE Glazer Review - WOOLY TV #14
(87kg/187cm - 192lb/6'1 1/2")
Today Wooly surfs and goes over the Firewire Glazer by Rob Machado. This thruster has been refined over the last few years and finally added into Machado's quiver to fit in between his twin and quad fin boards. Wooly surfs it in a variety of different conditions from waist high fun beachies to a overhead rolling reefy.
Wooly is riding a 5'8 x 20 5/8" x 2 11/16" - 35.1l (87kg/187cm - 192lb/6'1 1/2")

It seems like a small thing, but finding reviews where
The music selection to your surfing in your videos is next level. So enjoyable to watch over and over.
this is quickly turning into my favourite youtube channel! top notch reviews mate, always a bit sceptical when shops review their own goods but this feels honest and no bs! glazer looks great.
Another awesome review for us everyday surfers. Just ordered my Glazer. You pick great soundtracks too
Super informative review bro - looking forward to getting my hands on one soon and giving it a blast too. Loved the Seaside so hopefully the Glazer is just as fun!
Great to see you on other craft than JS Wooly, and this board looked friggen awesome under your feet!!!
Really enjoying your reviews. Your good surfing, being of normal adult weight, surfing the type of waves most of us surf in, is much more valuable to the average adult surfer wanting a new board than those done by 70-75kg pros in world class waves. You should have a link so viewers can buy online from you. Cheers 🤙
Gidday mate ! Great board review for the everyday surfer happy to see you aren’t an ex pro kelly slater look-alike surfing flawless California waves !!! Keep the reviews coming. Love the honesty for us average mortals.
You ripped the bag out of this board! its a joy to watch you surf it!
Really liked the reviews ! We got all the information we need, the different types of waves, your heigh/weight ... Really loved it !
Was waiting for this!
Rails look nice into the tail...nice review wooly & accent there shane lol
Wooly - great review and thanks for doing it. I'm really keen on getting the Glazer, based on the footage it seems it might go well from knee high to head high. How it felt in steeper sections of the wave? does have rocker enough to push harder without feeling that the board will slide out in a good section? I would say the round tail would help as well. Just trying to get some feedback once I won't be able to test the board before buying it. cheers!!
Thanks for your review, it helped me make up my mind and finally pick up a glazer. I was looking now looking at the no brainer. Do you think it overlaps too much or is the no brainer more along with the seaside in wave range/type?
Cheers man,
I got a 5'10 thing paddles like a dream and moved well for 38L
Thanks for this review it ‘s a pleasure to whatch.
Hi Wooly!!! I was wondering since I havent tried the LFT tech... does ir float more than a PU board? Im 5'9 180 pounds, and im not sure if i should go 5´6 32 lts or 5´5 at 31 ... mostly surfing punchy beach breaks with low tide and mushy with high tide..
Wooly im the same weight and height as you and was considering getting the 5’6 or 5’7 as thats more my normal volume range but now considering the 5’8 just based on how it looks under your feet. Did you ever feel the 5’8 was a bit over-volumed for you and you would have benefited from a smaller size? just based on the footage it looks best from all boards you reviewed so far , so nimble for so much volume. Normally I ride around 31-32l but I also got the 5’5 twice baked recently and it opened my eyes to bit more volume. I previously had bad experience with some ultra light boards (helium or spinetek) when they are over volumed but maybe coz timbertek is heavier I feel the 5’5 goes unreal for me.
Great Channel !
