Great to see the F50 fly again. I was lucky enough to work for AirUK when we had some of the first F50s in the early 90s to replace our old F27 Friendships - a massive improvement, trust me - and some say the F50 is noisy! I then went to work for VLM in Manchester for our short-lived route to RTM, operated by F50s. In those days, we had a two class config!
If you ever want to get nostalgic and travel on some Fokker70 or 100's come back down to Perth , Western Australia , we have about 40 of them based here , a very common jet in our skies still. We lost our Fokker50's about 2 years ago:(
FYI the same Fokker F50's are back in business in Antwerp, they fly for Air Antwerp, the same route. Why did you go from Antwerp to Amsterdam and then to Brussels? There is a direct train from Antwerp to Brussels Airport, just 25 minutes and it stops inside the airport.
I'm stunned to see sights of Birmingham airport. I was a Yank "exchange" student at a school in Cheshire 1967 - 1968 and very poor. To visit my granduncle in Birmingham, I always caught the train. I never even knew there was an airport in Birmingham, but I knew where many pubs and bookshops were! I'm a train nut, though I enjoy flying, too, because I have to so that I can visit relatives. Maybe you could do some train videos, too, like Paul L. Aloha from Hawai'i!
TrainNutter those are actually leased from the airline Amapola, who has a larger fleet of F28-050s in both passenger and cargo configuration. Amapola flies publicly obligated services between Stockholm and some destinations in northern Sweden, as well as cargo flights for PostNord.
In order to prevent people from doing this, most airlines have some sort of a no-show policy where if you don't show up for one leg of your journey they'll fine you or cancel the rest of your trip and force you to book the leg you need again. TBH they shouldn't be having these stupid cheaper fares in the first place, but exploiting them comes with its risks.
Normal People: London To Birmingham Get The Train Noel: Flys across the North Sea twice enters two different Countries including the one twice. Sounds like one of those SatNav Journeys you hear about
The SSJ100 has a bit of a reputation. Interjet, which is a Mexican airline, pulled the airliner from service and Cityjet aren’t too impressed either. However, Adria Airways will be putting some in service in the near future.
wow so cool the airplane look like cabin look low also on the out side look like a jet i like also was was it small jet airlines i like those train"s RR :)
Hi Noel Love the vlogs, finding them really interesting! Just dotting around randomly and picking them out to watch. Just out of interest, I was told by a friend who is an ex flight attendant, not to drink tea and coffee on the plane as the water tanks are, "manky." Is there any truth to this ??
You need to turn down the music whilst your talking, are you using premiere pro? It’s easy enough to learn how to do it... also can you please get a DSLR as well as your GoPro? The lighting and colours on a proper camera are so much better and it’ll give you a good finish and more professional
Seems to me except for the Fokker 50, the rail parts were preferable: particularly the Thalys. Suspect you’re softening to the notion of rail being a good alternative if not ferries
I explained it but maybe not clear enough :) BRU-BHX on the SuperJet was £400. A train from AMS to BRU and then the flight was £100. So by getting a train up to AMS and back it saved me around £300.
I always fly Brussels Airlines. Even back in the day when it was Sabena. I have never had an airplane of them that was dirty or smelly. So to call it nasty is a exaggerated to my opinion.
City Jet and Brussels Airlines absolutely hate these Superjets. They can’t wait to get rid of them because Sukhoi sucks at supporting them and they’re constantly having technical issues.
Hello inflight video that will better your new GoPro Hero 7 with Full Flight ALL. I will Go Walk gates to Fly Windows to Wings ALL to Full Flight Open ALL Now thank you!
Couldn't you technically just have sit around in Antwerp and take the train that came from Amsterdam and just not use the first part of your ticket? Or just have taken another train from Antwerp to Brussels?
Possibly, but I didn't want to risk it. Strictly speaking, you miss your first sector and they cancel all the remaining sectors. Thalys are linked with Brussels Airlines electronically and they do scan your ticket when you board - so potentially not taking it could mean that you get denied boarding in Brussels.
@@noelphilips Ok, that's a good point. But I guess if you would have sat that time in Brussels (possibly in the cold or in a crowded terminal) then it's better driving in a train. Greetings!
Great vlog as always! The diamond traders were present I see. I had a hard time hearing your VO over the music in the F-50. Why was this airline ticket cheaper because of a train raid? The SU-95 I do not need to fly I see... The sold many to a airline in Mexico. On paper it all looked great. Now I think they have grounded the whole SU fleet, and that is because they can not get a hold of ANY spare parts! On YT it is a video of a Shitty jet SU dep from BOO and they do not have a tow bar. No problem! Get ten men and they do the pushing back! Lol! Be safe!
I flew on the Sukhoi Superjet 100 a few years ago, from CUN to HAV return on Interjet (4O). I enjoyed it, no different to any 737 I found.
Great, but LOUD music. Had to replay 6:55 to make out what you were saying!
Sounded like Noel was rapping!
Great to see the F50 fly again.

Fantastic to see the F50 again, I spent several years in Amsterdam writing the Aircraft Maintenance Manuals
I used to,work on those as Cabin Crew.Glad to see they’re still flying
I used to fly on the Dutch NLM City Hopper F27 Friendship, F50 and F28 as an air attendant. Lovely memories!

I flew on a fokker 50 with VLM from Manchester to London City was great flight

I noticed that you touch the plane before boarding. I do the same thing. As always great video.
Haha yep I don’t know why it’s just a bit of a habit I have 😂
@@noelphilips I can't help touching airplane windows.
Great video, but I can't hear you very well when your voice low mode.
You can really see the variable blade pitch in this.

manu bird I live in Worcester just south of Birmingham and use that airport all the time so it is there 😉
That’s because the Birmingham Airport is in Solihull
Background too load matey! Part from that, keep up the content!
I understand this aircraft is now stored at Schiphol. Great video!
So jealous of you doing something you love and getting paid for it.long time viewer who also loves flying love your adventures good luck mate
I love Stratford! Because they have a huge shopping centre.
Yep it’s lovely a great place to stay in London, so much to do!
Hi
First time I have seen your trip reports and they look good.
Cheers
DS
Thank you :)
Braathens Regional Airlines (BRA) has a few Fokker 50s in service according to Wikipedia
TrainNutter those are actually leased from the airline Amapola, who has a larger fleet of F28-050s in both passenger and cargo configuration. Amapola flies publicly obligated services between Stockholm and some destinations in northern Sweden, as well as cargo flights for PostNord.

Did you have to get the train? What’s stopping you. Using the ticket and not getting the train?

Normally I really enjoy the vids... however the audio levels on this one made it hard to listen to you. Music was way to loud.
Is this aircraft now flying to LCY again for Air Antwerp?
Erik Griswold I believe so yes
@@AberdeenAviation not anymore now since covid-19 claimed Air Antwerp

real George Sukhotin That’s because new parts are readily available in Russia and Putin encouraged Aeroflot to buy ‘homemade’ aircraft.
The most trabled thing in SSJ is France made "hot" part of engines. And they (French) can't keep up with spare parts for it. Intentionally or not.
In my opinion, the plane is absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately it is undoubtedly flawed
You like F50s? BRA Flyg here in Sweden have some
You won't be russian back to go on the SSJ100? Was that pun fully intended?
What did you mean when the aircraft ‘buckled’ a little bit when they opened the cargo door?

Your Videos are grat, but could you remove the music when you talking. Is hard to understand.
What is the name of the meatball restaurant at BRU please?
Since my days of traveling are over I enjoy very much yours but please not so loud music or upbeat or what you will call it..

Why on the first flight where there was so many business pople
It’s a very business oriented route.
Ok thanks

No there were a few people further back. Not the busiest of though.

Do you get grief from the crew for the camera stuff?

Why don’t you start doing train videos
Could you tell me what it’s like on a prop plane cause I’ve never bin on one
Not really a massive train fan and I don’t know a lot about them - but I do travel an awful lot by train around the UK.
Can you try want to your schedule Flight to Full Flight please thank you.
I am feeling verry sad No fullflights!?
Hey Anil, we still publish full flights but they are exckusively over at inflightvideo.tv. Hope you enjoy them!
