As a total noob, It’s amazing watching expert builders pulling buildings together and other design elements so quickly and easily. So much creativity that I wouldn’t have even thought about.
Love this series, really nice to see a UK series! I'd raise the terrain to the back of the train set piece, and make a tunnel of sorts to have the track come out of. Name the area Frontier Land, in homage to the long-gone amusement park in Morecambe (home of my first ever rollercoaster, an amazing woodie called the Texas Tornado)
Thanks Andy! I had a google of Frontier Land as I didn't recognise the name... so sad to hear of it's closure... pretty mad to think one of the rides still stands as it's used as a phone mast!
Geekism Yeah the Polo Tower! I've not been back since I visited the park when I was about 11, but it'll always be special to me for giving me the coaster/theme park bug!
It would be cool to make a tunnel for the fake train to be coming out of. Use the terrain tools and/or rocks, along with some of the planks and beams for supports.
Something with "Frontier" in the name. "Frontier Fun Fair," or "Frontier Festival," or "Wild Frontier." Or how about "Yukon Ike's Travelling Show". You could have an outdoor theatre stage in the empty space.
A bit late to the party here as i've only just got a PC capable of running Planet Coaster at a decent level. A huge thanks for these amazing videos; they really are incredible and demonstrate just how flexible the building system is. If I had one request it would be to perhaps make some shorter videos showing some of the techniques you use at a normal playback speed; i'm keen to learn more and it's hard to follow what you're sometimes doing at the accelerated playback rate. Please keep up the great work; i'm finding myself binge watching your videos and it's really getting me more excited about playing some more Planet Coaster. :-)
I think it would be cool to sort of break the immersion of the western theme for that blank space and put a construction site. Pretend that a new ride is currently being built. Then, possibly, come back after the pirate area, or even later, and "finish" the ride by actually placing a ride and finishing scenery. I think it would add a little bit of a story to the build, rather than just plopping stuff down that looks pretty and going on our merry way. It would take some creative scenery work for sure, but I think it'd be worth it. :P
LOVE the idea of a construction area! I don't think this site is big enough for it though, it's only a small space that would really fit a ride... will definately plan a 'in progress' area though :D
Instead of using a ton of trees at the edges or areas you can use berms. Many parks use them to elevate the trees to provide more separation between the areas.
On the empty spot at the beginning on the promenade, you could put a entertainer meeting point, making like a little stage for employees to perform. If you kinda know what I mean.
I realise I'm only 4 years late, but those trees there do make sense since they are near a lake, and even in a desert, there will be vegetation near any water
What about using the name Boulderspring? Fort Boulderspring Boulderspring City Boulderspring Vale. Edit: The lake by the promenade could be Boulderspring Lake
Question about station buildings. If you build a station building and then want to use it on another coaster is there an easy way to align it to the new coaster?
I do a community showcase series, A full map in that could work :) Drop a link to the steam workshop page of anything you think could work on the newest community showcase video and I'll take a look :)
How do you guys feel about the ride decay / prestige system? I feel like it was a good concept but it was a bit too harsh on folks trying to do Challenge Mode or the later scenarios.
Personally I haven't dealt much with it, only playing sandbox and the first new scenario since the update... But I've heard a few people say it is a little harsh... I like the concept, but think the timings need to be tweaked slightly :)
I got a great idea for a coaster in the Western Area. In the Wild-west park ''Slagharen'' in Holland we have since 2017 a new awesome coaster named Gold Rush, maybe something awesome for the Western area? Video of Gold Rush: ua-cam.com/video/OSoKpAcl1LE/v-deo.html

Your Let's Builds are my favorite. I wish you did more of them. :)
Thank you! As you can imagine, they take up a lot more time than the other styles of videos... I'm trying to do atleast one a week though!
Love this series, really nice to see a UK series!

Geekism Yeah the Polo Tower! I've not been back since I visited the park when I was about 11, but it'll always be special to me for giving me the coaster/theme park bug!
This helped me add two stations on the train ride, thank you!

Good idea! :)
been playing catch up! the park is looking great!
Cheers Craig :)
Name the western part Blackwater, a reference to red dead redemption.
Something with "Frontier" in the name. "Frontier Fun Fair," or "Frontier Festival," or "Wild Frontier."

Disney parks have left the chat
Bro you are on point with this game. Appreciate the help.

these are my favourite videos on UA-cam atm please make more :)
Thanks! I try and do a new video every day, although I'll be having a little break over christmas, we'll be hiting it hard in the new year :)
Geekism sorry I mean more of the let's build series, of course have a break! :)
make a "town hall" in construction ! Like a Back to the Future III !
Miss Elly Presents... The Great Travelling Frontier Fair
Instead of using a ton of trees at the edges or areas you can use berms. Many parks use them to elevate the trees to provide more separation between the areas.
I had to google 'berms' but they are great and totally what I'm looking for :) Thanks!
you could always add a diorama of like a bank robbery shootout with the sheriff using animotronics
On the empty spot at the beginning on the promenade, you could put a entertainer meeting point, making like a little stage for employees to perform. If you kinda know what I mean.
It's a great idea, but we all ready have an entertainer meet and greet around the corner... check out the 'Meet Elly' video earlier in this series :)
At the end of the fake train u can make a arch then fill it in with black walls so it looks like a tunnel
Good idea!
Geekism thank you
My genius finally acknowledged
Very nice idea indeed.
I realise I'm only 4 years late, but those trees there do make sense since they are near a lake, and even in a desert, there will be vegetation near any water
the western area : "Elly's Frontier" for the mascot's references :)
love these videos :)
Thanks :)
looks amaxing
Thanks!
Nobody ever:
New planet coaster players: GEARS FOR FEARS!!
What about using the name Boulderspring?
Fort Boulderspring
Boulderspring City
Boulderspring Vale.
Edit: The lake by the promenade could be Boulderspring Lake
Put some cowboys having a shoot out in the empty gap.
so nice!! thank you
Thanks for watching :)
Could put a scenery like the o.k. Corral with the figurines shooting
Question about station buildings. If you build a station building and then want to use it on another coaster is there an easy way to align it to the new coaster?
I don't believe there is :(
call it Westworld and have it linked somehow to the scifi theme area
Jonti, Go and try out maps! Like The New Mt. Planet (AKA Everest) Map. Who Agrees With Me?
I do a community showcase series, A full map in that could work :) Drop a link to the steam workshop page of anything you think could work on the newest community showcase video and I'll take a look :)
You should make the tweetsie railroad It's a train ride/theme park in Planet coaster
Put an old western graveyard in the empty space
Make a western courthouse building in the dead spot and put an information booth in it.
Pls do a time traveling theme where each area is a time line of humanity
Cowboys Zone to the Western Theme Name
Call it tombstone after a old town in Arizona
make a little kiddie coaster in the "free space" please
Yeah, a compact wooden roller coaster.
A good idea, but the space really isn't big enough, it would barely fir the coaster station in it!
Underground maby? Or make the coaster go trough everywhere in the western area? Or some terraformed things. Or a indoor flatride maby? You shoose!
How do you guys feel about the ride decay / prestige system? I feel like it was a good concept but it was a bit too harsh on folks trying to do Challenge Mode or the later scenarios.

build a walk through restaurant with a western bar with benches and all
and as for the name may be " Real West or Dead wood West"
Call it west wonderland or west end if u pick any of these can u say I named it
add a hanted dark ride western theme
u can call the place the old western
The space is a little small for a ride unfortunately... good suggestions though!
"This Friday will be the last stream for 2017". Is the year over already?!
Missed the last Stream because of work and will miss the next stream because of sleep :D
D'oh! Sure we'll get you there one time, in the mean time you can watch on catchup :)
call it Abilene!
Westworld ;)
What a show! The area is named now though :D
I guess everyone is half-ghost.
call it "the west in the east"
Hoyalux thiu

Jontown
I miss making games 101
Me too :( But I'm not coding anymore, I may return to it in the future though!
Geekism I really hope so I really love your work…
Could you end your videos with a bird eye view of the park to see the transformation over time
I'll try to remember :) I'll be doing a full 'overview' of the park so far this week too :)
Call It 'Westville' Or 'Rodeo Town'
Frontierland
name the western area west side
If it whas a desiel i will be mad but it wasn't its a steam train
