friction just tells you a story, sometimes the stories are so disturbing that you feel those who are writing it are not humans. they just want there book to be sold writing something which excites the reader.

Franz Kafka's reference was so true. Kind of reminds me when I read, "The Metamorphosis." It held deep meaning. So much of trauma caused in one's life and how it changes one's persona.

As a matter of fact most non fiction books and self help books says pretty much the same topics that fiction book covers ..... and most non fiction books say the lesson to be learned directly ..... this is a good way to know the lesson but to actually learn it .....u have to experience it .....and fiction books does that it involves yu in it .....rather than just reading it and firgeting most of it .....fiction books pulls you into it ....and we all know tht our brain learns by stimuli ....and fiction books triggers every stimuli and gets yu into the story .....and only good stories rather than meaningless formulas and rules stay in our mind
Fiction is a pathway to another life ...

Reading fiction books is so important for me. After having read only some books, I have seen a big change in me. A change in my vocabulary and in the way to express and say sentences. Reading fiction allows you to imagine as per your wish. I love fiction books. You also get to learn so many good things from the protagonist.

I used to read non-fiction only. A month back I stumbled upon your beginner recommendation video. Explored book tube a little. And then, I picked up fiction. Only now, I realize how much precious time I have wasted by not reading fiction and the wonderful world that lies within them. Fiction books are actually making me fall in love with reading though I have been reading non-fiction for a long time.

I'm not a regular reader...but even I started reading with self improvement books and psychology books thinking that would change my life and also like most of them I also thought that fiction books are useless and waste of time...but it turned out I was wrong, recently, I read a fiction book for a change and I gotta say fiction books has been changing my life more than self improvement books ever did..fiction books makes me look at my life in a different perspective..I've read 5 fiction books so far and already I can see plenty of changes in my life.

Helly, a few cliché and overused suggestions and some already-given praises for you, who work so hard to give us content!
    1. The new background looks absolutely awesome. It looks so aesthetically pleasing to me (and all of us).
    2. I would like to suggest to add low tone music behind the main voice-over. This is because when you pause after a sentence, the voice feels a bit empty. You may run some tests and check if that works out.
    4. While you new haircuts looks so KFC (so good) I forgot to writer number 3.
Keep up the good work. We are here to support.

Fiction per se isn't pointless but when you read too many popular fiction books, the chain that binds you to the real world starts to rust. You should begin by reading easy contemporary novels, then step up a notch and read modern classics. But you don't benefit from fiction to the extreme until you start reading Doestovesky or Dickens or Shakespeare. The fictional works of these writers are more influential than a lot of non fiction works (excluding scientific ones).

What if I don't care about cultures, mentalities, and lifestyles of some people who are miles away and centuries apart? I honestly don't care what's popular in my country, and what's trendy now, why should I care about the other ones? Sure, some fiction might be nice, like Animal Farm, and some deep practically applicable systems that one can strive towards for a better society, but most of the fiction genre is about some superheroes that do pointless things or some character that has trials and tribulations that I can't bring myself to care about.

Personally, I consider fiction a waste of time. Why read about things that aren't real and that are advertised as not being real? Non-fiction can be fun. Imagine reading about historical figures or events like the civil war and then going to Gettysburg and stepping onto the land where the true stories you read about took place. To me that's much more fun than reading fantasies that I know are fantasies. Or what about reading about new discoveries in space? Or even better for fiction lovers, what about reading non-fiction books about alleged alien abductions, bigfoot sightings, etc such as the mothman prophecies? At least those aren't advertised as being fantasy and adds more suspense as a result.

Not at all; some may think that is is waste of time, it's imaginative and it'll not help in real life and all. But the fact is the best learning is something what we see in front of us happening in someone's life and fiction does exactly that.
I love both the fiction and non fiction.

I think, that literature with practical information in it is far more useful... Hey, all those trees have been cut down to sell thousands of copies of the same fictional book. I believe those books don’t deserve to be in any physical form whatsoever. They can exist, but I’d rather have then on computer or digital files... at the end they contain little to nothing that could contribute anything tangible. Mindsets are beautiful, but an unique perspective towards life will not stop the incoming ecological catastrophe. No humans, no books.

  • @manwithabook3710

Yes its important to read both fiction and non fiction. As helly told fiction involve imagination and its an important part of success... If you can't imagine what you want to be in life how you are going to frame your life. Fiction help you to practice imagining the different sort of stories.

My first fiction novel was Norwegian wood . And i was amazed by the fact that there is another world which I adore and that's beautiful . I just fall in love with all the characters in that book . Although it's difficult to love people in real world , but in fiction it's different . Fiction provokes you to love real world too . And as an introvert it's disturbing to tolerate people . So fiction or and utopian world is kind of my world.
