Man, your channel deserves more than 1M subscribers! I’ve been following your reviews for the past year and watched almost all your videos. As a new home owner, I watched and learned looking on your reviews (esp Eufy products) before purchasing security/sensor cam for my new house. I even share and send all the link to your videos to some of my friends and colleagues who are looking for gadgets and cameras. Keep up the good work man and all the best to your channel.
Newer to your channel. Appreciate the style of your reviews, shows the products in much more real life function and avoids a lot of language that sounds like canned marketing material. This product is intriguing but I think I was hoping more for functionality that made it the wired version of the battery one. things like the storage only on the doorbell and not working with existing chime are making me lean towards waiting for the Unifi G4 pro doorbell.
I have one of these and I'm happy with it; I will say there is one tricky gotcha with the posts you mount the power wires to, you have to be REALLY careful wrapping the wire around the screw you torque down, there is only a very small conductive surface ring to connect to.. so, you can have the wires connected perfectly fine, posts tightened down, and no power to the unit. It's really hard to figure out this is the problem. Wrap your wire tightly around the post and tighten it down really tight, that helps.
Great review, thank you. Loving it so far, save for a couple of drawbacks (#2 may be a deal breaker for many): 1. As others have mentioned my installed transformer wasn't powerful enough. I thought since it worked with my Ring it should work with this one too - wrong (Ring has a much wider range of voltage, but also a battery). I ended up replacing the transformer with a plug-in one. 2. Cloud storage is NOT supported for this device, contrary to what this review says. They'll let you buy it in the app but once you go to select which device to apply it to this doorbell did not show up. Confirmed with Eufy support (getting a refund is a bit of a hassle too). So if you're concerned about it only recording locally, you'll need a backup camera that can record externally.
I'm trying to learn how these devices work. Is there a reason why the homebase (memory storage) would not be offered with the wired version of the doorbell?
Eufy is heading in the right direction 👏..I have been using the Maximus Answer dual cam video doorbell for the past 3yrs and this Eufy doorbell cam makes we want to try it.. Question can u manually adjust the bottom cams position like the battery version??

Just got the wired last month in the instructions now. It says you can use existing doorbell. And just installed it today and existing doorbell works with jumper wire. Switching from ring to eufy.
Hi fantastic video again they don’t sell the eufy video doorbell wired version yet in the UK 🇬🇧 yet on Amazon UK I am disappointed about that I can order it on Amazon US they will deliver to the UK It will cost me £30 more I did ring Eufy customer service about it they didn’t no when it would be sold in the UK 🇬🇧 going to upgrade from my nest V1 video doorbell to the Eufy never had any problems with the eufy product yet keep up the good work bravo 👏
What if a neighborhood cat passes across the package camera zone, do you still get notifications? or the object needs to be there more than a few seconds before it triggers the alert? I have a ring door bell and I never recommend it just because of their unreasonable subscription pricing otherwise it doesn't even give you a snapshot of who's been at your front door! It is also slow to lunch even when you are in the same network!!
Do you know how much memory there is? Is it only 4 gb like the battery one? I think Best Buy had a version of the older Eufy with 32 gb that allows up to 5 days of continuous recording. I wish they make some aftermarket things that could put some screws in the camera so it won't be stolen so easily.
It doesn’t have a chime power kit like other video doorbells. You have to use the jumper wire to reliably power the doorbell which means it will not chime your existing chime box.
I have 3 eufy camera, motions detectors and alarm system. I mostly use Apple products. Would you recommend more to get this doorbell or to choose the Logitech Circle doorbell? I’m already have the Apple subscription. Thank you and continue your great work.
Just bought several Eufy products. for the life of me, i don't understand why this wired doorbell is not capable of storing video files to the homebase 3. from what I understand, it will communicate with Homebase 2 but not 3 according to CS at Eufy. What??? Meanwhile the battery version has that capability. Thinking about returning the wired doorbell and swapping it out with the battery powered unit even if the size is larger...
I didnt get any update or anything and still delay is terrible. I have the battery version. For example today. I was sitting in the living room, someone ring the bell, my husband opened the door, worker came in and I after that I got notification. No wonder last time postman looked pissed that it took time from pressing the button to receiving a freaking response.

So I watched the video on the wired, and wired with batteries and still have a question. You said Eufy "fixed" the issue related to the battery version. Does that mean, that if you connect the battery version, to a wired connected, it will record even when the power goes out? The biggest drawback I see to the wired only (no batteries) is that if the power goes out, in your home, you lose the ability to record. Is that the case or am I missing something? Also. did Eufy update the firmware to make the battery and wired version "better"? Thanks
Been waiting for this video. If you already have a Eufy Camera system installed, such as the Eufycam 2C which uses a Homebase2 hub, can this doorbell cam be set up to save to the memory card in the Homebase2 hub?
This camera will not work with the hub and it can connect only to the chime for now... I'm not sure though if Eufy is planning to integrate this with their homebase.

I wished you would have addressed the issue of under-powered existing doorbell transformers in most homes. Since my Eufy wired 2k doorbell requires a 16v-24v, 30va transformer power to function, my existing old doorbell transformer didn't work. now I have to upgrade or purchase a separate transformer to power the Eufy.
Is the new Wired Dual Cam doorbell the same size as the 2k Wired doorbell? Same mounting screw placement? I use an aftermarket 5 degree down wedge and am curious if I'll need a new wedge. If the Wire Dual Cam is the same size as the 2K Wired, I should be okay.
As stated in this video, this door bell cannot be wired to existing chime at home. However, when I checked out Amazon, seller from Amazon stated that this doorbell can be wired and used the existing chime so that the included chime can be optional. Who is correct in this regards ? Thanks.
Great review as always. I had read anecdotes from owners of other Eufy video doorbells on message boards about the units overheating, even when not in direct sunlight. This seemed to be an issue specific to Eufy as I've never seen it occur in the various Amcrest, Arlo, and Ring doorbells that I've had over the years. Anyone using this dual camera doorbell in direct sunlight without any problems or have experienced this overheating issue?
Will this device work if you are not home i.e., if you are at work or out somewhere? Since everything is connected to the base through wifi, do you have to be within range of the wifi router & base? How about if you are out of town? Can anyone answer these questions please?
This is a pretty good doorbell but my only concern is the internal storage on the doorbell itself...and also this is the last in the list of Eufy products that will be integrated with their homebase 3 if it will ever happen.
Are the upgrades due to software upgrades, or does this have upgraded hardware over the last Eufy (wireless) you reviewed? (IOW do I have to watch for hardware version if I buy one, or can I get the new notification upgrades in software?)
This wired and battery versions are different hardware wise..especially on their motion detection...and wired are more reliable and dependable than battery and this applies to all brands. Even if you hardwire the battery, it will still function as a battery doorbell. Eufy is still working on updating the notification delay on the battery version. I will do a comparison video between these doorbells in the near future.
nice video , was wondering LF what has your experience been with Eufy ? i’m planning on making the switch from Wyze , their AI is terrible and just a bunch of bugs and unreliable cameras. how has your experience been with eufy ? how do you enjoy their cameras , app , etc . thanks
I'll rate them second to Ring and first for no-subscription option. My main complaint on the Eufy is their app... there is no integration between their non-homebase devices to their wired devices..they are all over the place. Performance though, they are pretty good.
Hey sir.. the Eufy Dual Cam Doorbell Wired doesn't offer 24/7 recording even if you subscribe to their cloud plan. I mean, it will say it is not supported for a 24/7 cont recording after I subscribed to thier plan.. just pointing it out. I hope they'll offer this on future updates. The single cam 2k pro eufy doorbell is the only eufy that offers 24/7 recording but I like having that dual cam for the extra vision on your packages.
I’m having issues with auto night vision not turning off after sunrise. Will stay in black and white til I either restart doorbell or toggle auto night vision off and then on

Are the positions of the screw holes in the mounting bracket the same as the ones in the regular 2k wired doorbell? I already have a 2k wired doorbell and want to know if I can install this dual doorbell without having to drill new holes.
Can someone help me understand? This goes for other Eufy cams as well. How will footage be lost if someone steals your camera? I understand the footage is stored on the device itself so that makes sense, but if the motion sends a notification/video to your phone, wouldn’t you just be able to view it and download from the app?
You will get a notification and a snapshot but when you open up the app to view the footage, it needs to access the camera which probably at that time, has already been pulled out and is now offline. You now will not view or download the footage to your phone.
I bought the battery powered s330 but i want to hard wire it should i get the hard wire one or keep this one and just hard wire it? Also would there be a difference i wire this battery powered camera?
I'm not sure about the brand of sensor that they are using but as to WDR or HDR, I really don't see it ..as you can see in the sample footage, the sky in the background is still washed out. As to color night vision, I have to turn OFF the auto night vision but you need to have some lighting in your front porch to have a good quality footage.

I remember in the first ever doorbells it was just HDR then they upgraded to a Sony and WDR came along I remember in previous video you showed a cart with all details on different doorbells and it showed this information

I just got one of these but the QR code sticker seems like it was tampered with, like it was picked off with a corner peeling... Should I be concerned? What can someone do if they have the QR code of the device?
The price is still not comparable with their indoor camera. I cannot believe that an additional camera and a silly bell ring is worth $150 bucks more. To say that there is a whole lot more technology built in is still not appealing. On the other hand your reviews are great.
Questions. I'm a bit puzzled. Can the wired version connect to a homebase? I have the wireless 2k version, it is being charged by my wiring. Does this mean that I can buy a wired version and it will work? Is the wired version the only camera that eufy has that have a pre roll?
The wired version doesn't connect to the homebase. It is stand alone. The wired version will work but you have to use the jumper on the chime to give it consistent power..and only wired cameras have pre-roll.

Question. Can you remove the shutter camera sound. I just bought the battery version and havent installed it yet because I live in an apartment building with 3 other doors facing my door, and the shutter/click sound is loud enough and I don't want to be the creepy neighbor sounding like I'm taking pictures when people walk past my door.
I believe other reviewers mention issues with the doorbell requiring a 2 GHz connection to WiFi, is that correct? I’ve seen the package that comes with the doorbell (installed wired or battery) and an included eufy Hub.
Battery comes with the hub and extra 8gb =16gb. Wifi is standard 2.4Ghz it shouldn't be any issue. You need to avoid those reviewers probably fake and dumb lol

Will not ring existing bell? I like my existing mechanical bell, it's loud. Those electronic bells are weak.

Only 8Gb internal. But with software it will be 7.1gb. sucks that they don't allow us to add SDcard or nas or usn stick to the hub or your network

I haven't tested the logitech circle but if you are going to go with Homekit, this doorbell is not compatible and I'm not sure if it will.
Any way or workaround to make this work with a standard house chime?
At this time, there is nothing that I can think of. Eufy has to add this option software wise for it to work with regular chimes.
I really wish the wired version would use the existing chime. But awsome looking camera regardless.

The battery is still delayed but I know Eufy is working on this and I'll ask them on the timeline and I will let everyone know.

How was he to kmow that you had a "most" house with under powered transformer. Mine worked perfect with existing transformer.

The Dual Cam size wise is longer but their screw placement is the same. Technically, your wedge will work but I'm not sure how it will look.

I've been using it since this review and the sun shines on it 2-3 hours in the afternoon and no issues yet.
They probably overheat because people's transformers are not to Eufy's specs.

This is a pretty good doorbell but my only concern is the internal storage on the doorbell itself...and also this is the last in the list of Eufy products that will be integrated with their homebase 3 if it will ever happen.
Are the upgrades due to software upgrades, or does this have upgraded hardware over the last Eufy (wireless) you reviewed? (IOW do I have to watch for hardware version if I buy one, or can I get the new notification upgrades in software?)
This wired and battery versions are different hardware wise..especially on their motion detection...and wired are more reliable and dependable than battery and this applies to all brands. Even if you hardwire the battery, it will still function as a battery doorbell. Eufy is still working on updating the notification delay on the battery version. I will do a comparison video between these doorbells in the near future.
Is this better than the Eufy wired video bell 2k in terms of responsiveness and internet connection?
Have the glitches been fixed with a recent update since this video? Would you say this is the current best wired video doorbell as of October 2022?
nice video , was wondering LF what has your experience been with Eufy ? i’m planning on making the switch from Wyze , their AI is terrible and just a bunch of bugs and unreliable cameras.

I'll rate them second to Ring and first for no-subscription option. My main complaint on the Eufy is their app... there is no integration between their non-homebase devices to their wired devices..they are all over the place. Performance though, they are pretty good.
I heard on the news that Alexa can now use your ring doorbell to detect packages and notify you. Can you do a video on how to set it up? Thanks

Hey sir.. the Eufy Dual Cam Doorbell Wired doesn't offer 24/7 recording even if you subscribe to their cloud plan. I mean, it will say it is not supported for a 24/7 cont recording after I subscribed to thier plan.. just pointing it out.
I hope they'll offer this on future updates.
The single cam 2k pro eufy doorbell is the only eufy that offers 24/7 recording but I like having that dual cam for the extra vision on your packages.

I’m having issues with auto night vision not turning off after sunrise. Will stay in black and white til I either restart doorbell or toggle auto night vision off and then on

Why do you use the jumper wire in the chime box? I dont see that in the manual but I have that cable :/ no expert here :) i have to use the original chime
You have to use the jumper wire so as to provide constant power to the doorbell..if not, it will go offline when someone pushes the doorbell button.

Are the positions of the screw holes in the mounting bracket the same as the ones in the regular 2k wired doorbell? I already have a 2k wired doorbell and want to know if I can install this dual doorbell without having to drill new holes.
Can someone help me understand? This goes for other Eufy cams as well. How will footage be lost if someone steals your camera? I understand the footage is stored on the device itself so that makes sense, but if the motion sends a notification/video to your phone, wouldn’t you just be able to view it and download from the app?
You will get a notification and a snapshot but when you open up the app to view the footage, it needs to access the camera which probably at that time, has already been pulled out and is now offline. You now will not view or download the footage to your phone.

Does this have the newer Sony sensor for WDR option video quality and also doesn't it record night vision in colour with them LEDs
I'm not sure about the brand of sensor that they are using but as to WDR or HDR, I really don't see it ..as you can see in the sample footage, the sky in the background is still washed out. As to color night vision, I have to turn OFF the auto night vision but you need to have some lighting in your front porch to have a good quality footage.

I remember in the first ever doorbells it was just HDR then they upgraded to a Sony and WDR came along I remember in previous video you showed a cart with all details on different doorbells and it showed this information

The price is still not comparable with their indoor camera. I cannot believe that an additional camera and a silly bell ring is worth $150 bucks more. To say that there is a whole lot more technology built in is still not appealing. On the other hand your reviews are great.

The wired version doesn't connect to the homebase. It is stand alone. The wired version will work but you have to use the jumper on the chime to give it consistent power..and only wired cameras have pre-roll.

Question. Can you remove the shutter camera sound. I just bought the battery version and havent installed it yet because I live in an apartment building with 3 other doors facing my door, and the shutter/click sound is loud enough and I don't want to be the creepy neighbor sounding like I'm taking pictures when people walk past my door.

I believe other reviewers mention issues with the doorbell requiring a 2 GHz connection to WiFi, is that correct? I’ve seen the package that comes with the doorbell (installed wired or battery) and an included eufy Hub.
Battery comes with the hub and extra 8gb =16gb. Wifi is standard 2.4Ghz it shouldn't be any issue. You need to avoid those reviewers probably fake and dumb lol
