Bought TearRing Saga while I was still in Japan back in 2000 before the Fire Emblem games started to be ported to the U.S. Really pleased to see the game has an English translation. Looks like I'll have to track down the fan translation. Great job going through the video and breaking it down Barney-style for us.
Nice video, uh that's all? no, but in all honesty it's really well presented and researched, keep it up! (Also road taken was a nice choice for bgm) :D
Found this after searching for Tear Ring saga after searching about the newly released Vestaria Saga. Wasn't expecting the quality. Cheers, thanks for the vid!
This was a great video, well edited with good progression and references. You'd do well if you wanted to make more documentary format videos like this.
Right now, it's translated up to chapter 8. It's an absolutely amazing game, though I have to warn you, the learning curve can be a bit steep at first.
You got a soft and lovely voice. Thats why its a pleasure to listen to this great information. I hope you continue doing this kind of videos in near future👌
¨incorporate war strategies used by famous generals like Hannibal and Caesar¨ Imagine the enemy units using scutums and sandals. Standing in the hill to gain the terrain advantage(high ground)... Imagine the General with the silver spear equiped using his javalyn insteed when you cheese him with range... Oh God no!
Great video! I'm a big fan of the Fire Emblem series, and Tearring Saga always caught my attention, but I've never played it. Maybe I will now. Keep up the good work! :D
Thank you!!! I didn't know a lot about the game either, I just happened to discover some gameplay on youtube and wanted to know more! It's a great game!
Wow you have great info and knowledge in this video, appreciate that! I actually love the design in both games just kinda sucks their not in english, here's hoping that the awakening and fates experiment is behind us.
For anyone interested in playing TearRing Saga I recommend playing FE3 Book 2 first, since the two games share a lot in common such as how weapon level works as well as Dismounting. The game has a fantastic translation patch so you shouldn't worry about being forced to read janku. Great video btw. ever thought of making a video for Berwick Saga exclusively?
About 5:22, I have recently finish the game, and it is sad to see many intersting ideas to raise the difficulty of the game weren't implemented, but I have to admit the A.I sometimes acts in smarter ways than in most Fire Emblem games.
Thank you for making this! It's so cool to see what Kage's works looked like post-Fire Emblem. The sundering of his relationship with Intelligent Systems and Nintendo as a whole is tragic. It feels so akin to Jack Kirby breaking ties with Marvel. I may be alone in my sentiment here, and I do understand the financial reasons for doing so, but I do wish Nintendo would have not taken Kage and Tirnanog to the cleaners over Emblem Saga. Kage surely could have taken preventative steps to protect this new outing, like creating something that played and felt like the FE games without having any ties beyond that. So I think he bears some of the blame for not trying to distance himself enough from an IP he knew was going to be protected by Nintendo. But Nintendo sought to drown Kage and this whole new franchise out of spite and it seems like they ultimately succeeded. For everything Kage had done for them with I.S and the FE franchise, you'd dream that they could have worked something out instead of going to war in the courts. It feels like Goliath ate David. Wherever you are, Shouzou Kage, thank you for everything you created with both of FE and TS. I became a fan of FE literally this year in 2020. I was absolutely hooked from the very first experience.
Please make more videos like this . You derserve more views, also I saw the some of your running scenes inside your video to be in Chinese, so maybe you are literate with Chinese? Anyway do you care to upload a video about advance war series? Being informative like this, I think you have good taste with games haha.
Well now I can see why spiritual successor's rarely exsit fear of being sued,I've been desperately looking for games similar to fire emblem for ps1 as I personally felt the ps1 could handle it much better than say the gba
@@Savescreen It's a good practice to not repeat whole paragraphs verbatim unless it's a direct quote and you're attributing it directly in the video itself. It makes the video look sloppy and lazy when you're not presentig the topic in your own voice and merely repeating what's already out there
@@Flackon alright, thanks. It's presented quite simply so didn't feel like it needed to be done otherwise. I'll do it like the school essays next time haha.
She did gameplay videos in the past but who really watches gameplay commentary videos in 2020 let's be real, unless your name is pewdiepie or avgn that is.
Granted, Nintendo are completely tyrannical with copyright claims, but unlike, say, Bayonetta or The Evil Within (which even has a name that nods Resident Evil), TearRing isn't a tribute to the original, it IS the original under a different name. I bet even the weapon triangle is there. All Kaga needed was to add some different mechanics, different class names, or other things, just like Shining Force, Tactics Ogre, and Arc the Lad.
Man i hope this gets tearring saga more attention. It doesnt look like the footage u used was from the new translation patch that came out, so if people havent heard check out this out serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=53111 its a really good translation and i heavily recommend it if you want to check the game out!!

I come bringing you some.
Bwahaha thank you!!!!!
Nice detailed video, probably would have never seen this w/o ghast.
Oh hiao mangs.
I came here cause I watching your fr content and remembered this game and now we are here
This was awesome.
Thank you ;o;

did not come from ghast, just searched up TearRing Saga, surprised about the great quality
Thank you, really appreciate it!
Same here

I hope Kaga is more successful in the future. It’s sad he doesn’t get a lot of recognition 😔
Well, Vestaria Saga is getting to that point already. From what I've heard anyway.
SO PROUD ON MAKING THE 776TH LIKE, WHAT A NICE COINCIDENCE. BY THE WAY, SO SOUND EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND WELL INFORMED, TWO THUMBS UP FOR YOU.
Ghast sent me!
This was a very good, informative video. You did a great job!
Thank you so much!!
I learn about another game I need to play everyday, thanks for the comprehensive video on such an obscure series.
Very good game, I play about 15 hours, I stopped at chapter 16. This is a fire emblem, just another name.
This is basically Fire Emblem 64 lol

Just discovered this game. Thanks for putting together a very informative video!!

Thank you! ☺️ I haven't played Berwick saga yet but I should haha

8:20 I can tell that Radiant Dawn footage is on an emulator because I can see the cursor icon in the middle of the screen.
I came here for info on TearRing Saga but instead I fell in love with a dead youtube account wtf
Great video! It's a shame you don't have any more vids :(
VampireKatana I plan on making more! But it has been a busy year for me :(

I like Kaga's games, but something about a wikipedia page filled with what might as well be clones of his first game makes me a bit sad.
He found his niche and stayed by it :P
awesome video, thanks.
You didn't bother changing the phrasing of the paragraphs from wikipedia?
Should I? If its worded nice enough don't see a reason to. I have it listed as a source in the description.

Yes I plan to! I kinda want to do a fates lunatic playthrough with random classes but idk if I can pull it off hahaha
That's great! I'll be sure to check it out
Berwick Saga Remake now
Will you ever do videos again?:
I hope so!! ;w;

Aw that's awesome! It's just kinda hard to find something worth making a video over :P
is this really your only video?
Correct lol
I have another channel where I just dump stuff

Lord Tullus 9 what's Inb4?
Haha that's a very opinion based thing tho! My faves are the Tellius games.
