Thanks Lance! There is STILL very limited videos about this woofer. And installs simple or complex with this woofer will get views. It gives the JL brand a run for their money. Keep em coming!
Sure. I prefer this woofer or the JL personally. The JL TW3 a close second.
@@lancesautovlog I heard this with 300 watts in a truck a few days ago and it was great. Small enclosure too. Even smaller than the JL?
@@mrgreenjeans6950 yep that box is pretty small.
these subs are very impressive for what they are. My boss talked me in to building a demo system in my car for the shop. So we're doing 4 of these 10's on 2k. It should be pretty fun
Awesome. There very musical and will hit.
I love my Hertz subwoofer 10 inch 900 watts on a mono 600x Mtx thunder!! It hits hard
Great †ø hear..
Love my MPS subs!!
Nice
How do they compare to JL Tw3
@@dannehnyu2369They are louder. Hertz really impress me with this one I never considered hurts before these subs. If you need to go shallow they are the ultimate sub for a truck currently. The JL's will be cleaner the hertz will be louder
Hertz sub is built pretty good.
Nice content. - subbed 👍🏿
Thanks!
Well I got the some 6.5 mille pro, components for the edge st, now I'm going to have to get the hertz sub
And the audison dsp, 😊
That's not a bad ideal..
I see now that Hertz has its own low profile enclosure for the 10" and 12 " mille low pro subs
Yes. They just released one a month or two ago.
@Lance's Auto Vlog I got the 12" one ordered. I might get two of them for the back of the edge!
@@garys9718 man that’s going to sound nice!
Thank you for uploading the video! Could you please give me some info on how the shallow Mille MPS 250 performs in comparison to the Cento 250 sub? I keep wondering if I should upgrade, but I haven't found a good review of the MPS yet.
The woofers are pretty close when it comes down to it.
How does it compare to the AUDISON Voce AV 10? Which one would you recommend in terms of sound quality?
The Audison AV10 is a very good sodding woofer is great for detail listening. If you want a woofer that you can pound on the Millie Pro woofer is hard not to purchase. I personally like the Hertz woofer at this point and time.
I have a JL Audio 10TW3-D4 (The God of shallow subs 🙌🏾) However since I had to replace my amplifier I also has to replace my sub. I decided on an open box Hertz MPS250S4. It wasn't musically smooth n clean like the JL but nevertheless it was thumping strong for 4 days before it finally fried. I'm going back to what I know best as pure sounding excellence: JL 10TW3-D8
That sounds strange. I’ve never had a Hertz MPS woofer blow on me. If you had a great experience with JL it’s probably best to go back.
Thanks for the reaching out.
God of shallow subs are not the TW3's.
You're thinking of the TW5's. TW1's and TW3's are junk.
@@tordb TW5 is another level for sure, but the TW3s ain't junk (I'm my opinion🤷🏾♂️)
@@tordb says a person who hasn't used both. The 12TW3 outperforms the 13TW5v2 in every way. It's plays louder, goes lower and is more musical without a lot of tuning involved. I would only use a TW5 if I'm mounting in a place with severely limited mounting depth.
@@idmaxTotally agreed. I have 4 of each of them subs and definitely the TW3 is superior.
That is a very nice sounding sub Lance how does it compare with the Hertz mp300 which looks like a well made sub ?
They are very similar. The shallow woofer gives more options.
Need your advice, which one better between that hertz subs, or scanspeak 23w or groundzero gzpw 10sq ? For accoustic or pop jazz music
I haven't heard the ScanSpeak speakers, so I wouldn't want to comment on those. The Ground Zero are nice if your a ground pounder, they're way better then the Hertz for that. The Hertz are extremely musical & thats the direction I would go. I also like having the extra space a shallow woofer offers.
@@lancesautovlog thanks for your suggestion, I already heard the GZ and SS sub, i guest SS got better deep bass. But finally I agree the GZ sub is better and install it. Thanks lance
Interesting woofer
Do you think it is way better than my old JL Audio 10W1V3?
I'm thinking about buying one of these 🤔
I've got a 18l box
If I to purchase the the JL versus the Hertz, I would go the direction of the Hertz’s. It’s has more option when it’s all said and done. It had more power. It works a in a small enclosure.
Another great video. Your experience listening to all these different types of audio is very valuable and makes great content. I own Millie Pro 6 x9's and Hertz speakers in the rear and in the dash of my truck. I currently have a Polk 8" sub which is ok. I just bought a under the seat sealed box at .75ft3 that is for a 10" driver. I also am limited to depth at 5" top mount. The Hertz CS 250 hit my radar since I love the brand. The specs look good for my application but I have no way of hearing this subwoofer. I have a 500w Alpine amp to power this guy. I'm willing to go up to as high as 325.00 for a good sub. Considering that the sub box is under the back seat firing downwards and that I like clean deep bass would the Hertz do well for me or can you suggest another subwoofer? Thanks in advance. I wish you were in NC.
I would totally recommend this woofer if it fits your budget. The only issue you will have is that the woofer is only available in a 8ohms & 4 ohms design. If your amp is a mono, then you would need 2. If 2 are in the budget go for it. 4 ohm of course.
My amp can do 2 or 4ohms @ 500w. I wish there was a super center to demo all these great products. A lot of people love JL subs. I had a JL Audio 10W0v3-4 several years ago. I thought it was OK. Nothing special but it could have been the box it was in. There are so many variables. I did mess up. I was looking at the Hertz but meant to ask you about the Morel Primo 104. Lots of good reviews. Would you take this over the JL and Hertz? Thanks for the endorsement and advice. @@lancesautovlog
@@traderfjp the hertz for sure.
Who makes that prefab box? Looks decent. I just ordered 2 of those subs. What do you think of them in comparison to say the tw3 or the new alpine r slim and audiomobile 2410s?
Do you want a prefab box for general use? Any prefab with in the .4 to .8 cubic ft box for the 10's should work. The new Alpine Type R is no joke. The Hertz & Alpine are very much similar. I personally love the Hertz's sounds. The Audiomobile is good also, but isn't in the power class. The JL TW3 is nice, but handles less power the other 2.
@@lancesautovlog thanks Lance! I think the audiomobile Evo 2410 handles 500 watts too or thereabouts. Anyway, by the sounds of it for sql and being a musical sub the hertz seems to be up there. I always wondered how the hertz shallow compares to the regular Mille
I’m thinking about these shallow hertz but I’m probably going to go with Audiomobile EVO’s.
The Audiomobile shallow woofer is a awesome woofer, so you can't go wrong either way.
@@lancesautovlog I know both are highly recommended, but if you had to pick between the EVO 2410 and MPS 250, which one would you ultimately pick? Which one has the better sound quality and output? Thanks.
@@jl226ca the output would be similar when it’s all said and done. The only true advantage between those woofers would be power handling. The Hertz can handle a considerable amount more in power.
@@lancesautovlog they both have the same power rating. are you saying the mps 250 can handle a bit more than rated?
I have mille legend speakers and had planned on using 4 of these behind my seat as space is limited and my amp.rack is under the seat. Do you think these will do justice by my door speakers in regards to musicality and getting that beathtakinf sound im looking for?
Yes if there’s enough airspace for them to perform correctly.
@lancesautovlog These generally don't need much space, correct?
@@tylerwebb2338 shallow mount subs don't need much air to move.
Jesus Christ this subwoofer sounds amazing. That's just a single driver in a universal enclosure?!
My JL Audio 12W3-v3's sound nothing like that with a JX 500/1. What amp are you using on that sub? I'm very interested.
Yes it was. We used a Audison SR1.500 amp.
🤩🤩
Cool
Question and I hope you can help me out I have a 2020 F250 Ford and underneath my backseat I have two kicker 12s RT shallow subs and I’m thinking about upgrading to the hertz Millie pro shallow subs. If is it worth the upgrade is there a difference
What kind of amp is running them?
@@lancesautovlog 1200 W kicker amp
@@samtheman7825 do you have the specific model number?
@@lancesautovlog no but what is a good app you would recommend for the kicker RT 12s shallow subwoofer what amplifier would you recommend for crystal clear awesome sound
I haven't heard the kicker woofers, but I have heard the Hertz. They are very good for a slim woofer, They are smooth sounding and can also boom when needed. I will alway lean to a brand I'm more familiar with.
Any update on this sub, compared to the JL Audio TW3 looking for a 12 inch, looking to pick up one of the two tomorrow, thanks!
The Hertz's woofer is really nice & it's not a bad call to get one.
@@lancesautovlog okay thanks for the response!
@@lancesautovlog What amp would you pair it with? I am looking at the Hertz HCP 1D, 55O watts at 2 Ohm... looking to get the 2 ohm version of the sub
@@09investor that’s not a bad choice of a amp.
So, wich combo of subwoofer did you go? Please leave your aditional feedback here if possible! I’m soon to go to the same conundrum. I’ll have to choose among probably two 10inch herts mps 250 or a JL Audio TW3 12 inch. It all depends on what size of box i can put on my rear seat space of a C10 cab. I know that sometimes a subwoofer working with a slightly bigger box size can ad a bit of low notes excursion and changing from sealed/vented may allow you to play with a little bit more or less amp power so, definetly the subwoofer(s) i’ll choose depend on the space i can give them in first place…
So should I go with 3 10” Hertz Mille pro or 2 12” JL Audio TW3s? I like boomy bass and listen to a lot of Hip Hop, EDM & some metal. I prefer ported but I’ve heard these are good sealed as well. I’m stuck between JL or these let me know thanks.
If you are looking for Boomy bass the best way to go would be 12's. Hertz does offer a Millie pro shallow 12 also. I think those woofers are very good. I'm going to go the direction on my F150.
@@lancesautovlog Oh ok cool yeah I’ve heard 12s would be the best for that sound also. I’ll check out the Mille pro 12s. I’m so used to JL Audio that I haven’t really heard many other brands so I’m hoping the hertz would sound better
The Hertz in my opinion does sound better.
How does it compare to the Hertz Mille ML 2500.3
The ML2500.3 is a outstanding woofer for a general install and there is no restriction. The new Hertz shallow woofer is more design for limited space. There both nice sounding.
I'm not going to knock Hertz products, they are good. But when it comes to performance with subs I still think Sevard Audio offer some of the best performance subwoofers usually better than subs 2x or 3x their price point. And you can get a "Made in America" DD Audio subwoofer for just over $300 these days too.
Sevard Audio subwoofers 🔊 are more a conventional style a woofer and is good for a person willing to give up space for bass. I find that I have more customers that want good to great bass, but have or want to take up that area.

I’m not sure what your asking.
This is the mps250 not mp 250
Thanks
All this fancy shop talk and you use a prefab box, shops are crooks..
Thanks for your input. Have a great day.
JBL systems are garbage, my tundra JBL is awful, my girlfriend has a Camry with the JBL it is also terrible haha.
I totally agree with you.
scored one of these new for 20% off.. im running a 10TW3 in 2 different cars, hoping this one can hold it's own. i may or may not swap it out w/ theJL in my CR-V then i can use 2 of the TW3's in my Tacoma, or i may just hang onto this one and build up a system in my next ride. i've heard enough about Mille Pro series to squeeze the trigger confidently.
I’m sure you will really like them.
i did steal the TW3 from my car and this mille 250 went into the existing stealth box.. nearly the same required air volume (about 0.5 foot) and it sounds really good. i will dare say it hits a teeny bit lower than the JL and it hasnt even broken in yet.. so now i have 2 JL's for my dual 10 box going into the taco this w/e
this Hertz sub is super nice for the price i paid.. would recommend. @@lancesautovlog
