Not for nothing but I own many of the subs on this list and I assure you in spec boxes the DD Audio SL612 leaves these in the dust. I'm pushing 800rms daily and it wants more. Also I'd implore you to properly break in all these subs before you rate them. It literally took 6 months of daily 2hr driving to break in the DD and it just continued to ask for more power and kept digging lower and lower. I've owned so many subs in my life and this was the first time I bought DD and out the box it out performed my JL TW312 it say after break in only one on this list thats in the same category is the Hertz.

Were you able to get the alpine type r ? I’m looking for feedback I bought a custom made box for this sub but when checking the cubic space I could fit the tw3 10 JL audio or the new shallow hertz. Hope you can share your thoughts
Skar is killing the shallow sub market. I have 2 12 inch vd12 under my back seat in my f150 and it sucks my eyes out of their sockets like a much larger systems.
I have an '03 F-150. And I'm trying to put a shallow subwoofer with a amp in there. What amp are you running it on and what box did you buy for it if I may ask? And how many ohms are you running it at? TIA
I’m have a 2016 f150 and want to put a system in. Is your sealed or ported. I listen to all sorts of music. Rock, Country and hip hop sometimes techno.. the guy wants me to do JL but though $500 a speaker is crazy. So how do they compare to them? Or how is sundown or CT?
@@mxr248I blew two sets of shallow 10 skars I think you need 1.25 of air I smothered them In a .9 cubic air space box not the speakers it was my ignorance..
The Hertz MPS 250 S2 out performs most of this list, so placing it at nr. 8 is wrong. This sub has an x max of 16mm, witch is much for a slim sub. And it won the best product award 2022-2023 at EISAs 40 year anniversary awards. From your list it looks like you are into USA made subs. European gear is top quality also.
This list can't be order. The tw3 and hertz both kills the jbl 1000. I'd think the rockford is top of this list and I own two tw3 12s. Alpine might be a top 5 but I dont see it being the best eithet.

How do the DD Audio sound? Is it mainly for SPL? or do they play accurate bass?
@@cjlos2050spI replaced 2 Tw3 10 with a single sl612 the DD takes the same 800 the 2 jls handled all day. My set up is sq tuned the box to 29 hz

I'm going from 2 audison 10 inch to 1 Hertz MPS 300 S2. I hope the sound quality will at least be equivalent

Ran the kickers=trash. Fosgate werent bad, alpine werent bad. Jl audio is where its at though for SQ
I love my 13tw5v2 subs but people are talking. They say the Stereo Integrity BM-11 are just a bit better. Now I am curious about them.
