Out of all the videos I've watched since starting DIY wood work last year, you are the first person that said it is a misconception that you can't mix water and oil based stain. Why would you want to mix them? Also, even though water based stain is a lot easier to clean up afterwards, the quality of the stain finish you get doesn't seem very good to me. My very first project last year was a phone holder you showed how to make so I really do like your videos.
I'm not suggesting that is is good idea to mix them. I'm just saying you can If you want like if maybe it was all you had or somthing. Also thanks for watching my videos. I'm glad I could help. Since you have been watching for a long time. What is a video idea that you would like to see me do?

Could a wood stain be applied to a wooden piece that has geometric hand-carvings or would it be blotchy, i.e. could I end up ruining it?
U can do it but u would have to prolly use a sponge to make sure u soak up all the excess stain. It’s also a good idea to try the stain on a small part of a project liie on the back or bottom and let it dry just to make sure it ends up being how u want it
