Question from a german here: Are cops in the states using their guns if i drive 160mph on the interstate as a tourist and I pull over and say I'm from Germany and we drive on the Autobahn like this?
an - infrasonic sonic wave pulse generator - basically, is a device that creates inaudible low frequency sound waves. In this case with 7000 watts of powers. It's like a 7000 watt super bass speaker aimed at you but you can't hear the sound. Your body would feel sick and maybe dizzy, you wouldn't know what it was, you would just know that you had to get it to stop. And in this case, it would make you want to get out from in front of this Audi, letting him drive on by.
The red lights on Audi and BMW alike are purposeful. The red led lights are the the only color lights your eyes don't have to adjust too. So when you look at the controls and info screen at night your eyes are the same as when you were looking at the dark road.
Somehow yes. I drive benz and never had any issues. And with bmw and Audi neither. But some people prefer to stick to 1 significant brand because of such details which I can understand too.
I agree. I was thinking that myself, and in fact, with all the other stuff, I woulda thought that maybe they would have a bank of five 1-TB hard drives that just upload continuously over its wireless.
in the youtube search bar put in authors at google alex roy and its a hour long video of alex kind of explaining what they did and how they did it he also talks about this car for a couple of minutes I think he said its about 60k in equipment
Alex Roy is the most insanely technological driver i've ever encountered in my life.... I can't wait till this Blackbird makes it debut for the next Gumball run and what will Alex be wearing? a batman costume for this? or a SWAT team? Cheers for Polizei Ein Vier Vier !
The device on the front (infrasonic wave pulse generator) looks to me like some sort of microwave radar device possibly for use in detecting objects in front at night when travelling at high speed. Can't see it being infrasonic as this would require a much larger transducer of some kind. Also the owner stated that you would not want to stand to close as it might affect your prospects of having children. The car is definitely a cool bit of kit though. Think we will all need one of these soon.
I'd like to see you do something with this car.... I got away with just a V1 and have driven all over the US with little problems. I think this is over kill.... not to mention gives the cops more and more reason to battle you in the "arms" race
Hold the phone, was there no sound at the end of the video or was the car actually silent (no exhaust note) when it drove away?? I want this in my life.
Liquid-cooled infrasonic wave pulse generator (Might be to disrupt the infrared laser and radar detector guns but we really don't know) -from crunchgear
My all-time favorite car would be a stealth vehicle like a stealth fighter jet. Driving at 3 in the morning with 200mph in the Nevada desert on the extraterrestrial highway passing the highway patrol like an ufo. I made my drivers license in Germany and doing 160mph for travel speed is not a stranger thing to me. But in the states with a tourist status i would shit my pants doing more than 70mph
@LInebacker998 its like bat sonar. it generates a pulse which creates a visual on a heads up display so you can drive completely blacked out at ridiculous speeds and get away with it while speeding passed cops in the dark.
IMO, it's a transmission scrambler... probably kills radar and laser transmissions. Also, could scramble digital cellular signals and radio frequencies...
"Infrasound has been known to cause feelings of awe or fear in humans. Since it is not consciously perceived, it can make people feel vaguely that supernatural events are taking place." As if the roar of that engine wasn't enough... >_>
I don't get it. Why the need for 2 Garmin's and WiFi and about 7 radar detectors? Seems like major overkill to me. The V1 does the job fine. Oh and why would you want to turn your back lights off?
audio was recorded with a potato
Lol
For those curious, that "liquid cooled infrasonic wave/pulse generator" is to scare off animals, avoiding plowing through animals at 200mph speeds.
Video recorders have improved a great deal the past 7 yrs. So has police radar.

@@scuffediceposeidon9178 No they don't shoot. But you will be arrested.
That's neat, thanks for sharing that.
DDE brought me here 😂🤷🏾♂️
A worse mic wasn't possible mh?
Damon from DDE send me here :)
Clean af!
Does anyone have the URL for Injections website mentioned at 3:08?
Ah I see! Thanks for clearing that up.
Question: What is the pulse thing that he is talking about. at 2:13.
Haha wow, so this was Alex Roy in 2008. Funny, I’ve been watching you on Drive and never realized you had your own channel!

how did he get his CB radio antenna so short?!
Got my gears turning after watching this.
Yet another follower. Still, cool car setup.
just one word: awesome

Liquid Cooled Infrasonic Wave Pulse Generator
damn, I've been wanting one of those for awhile!
;-P
What is the purpose of 4 GPS units?
It would be awesome flying down the highway with the sirens on in this
it is a rally car all the aftermarket add- ons are needed and very usefull!!!!
Cool. I'm glad the guy who set the audio levels on Alex's mic had nothing to do with designing the car.
I have a feeling Roy is the owner lol reverse-psychology
impulse generator? what is that?

DDE brought me here 💢
simply beautful.

he's thought of it all!

How much did you invest in radars, scanners, and everything else you have to drive safely?
Thank you.
-Mikey
I want one of this, but with V10 engine :D
2019, any new info on this car and its technology?
Yeah, it didn't work the greatest. He had better luck with his BMW.
liquid-cooled infrasonic wave pulse generator??
Have you ever heard of Bullrun rallying?
I'd like to see you do something with this car.... I got away with just a V1 and have driven all over the US with little problems. I think this is over kill.... not to mention gives the cops more and more reason to battle you in the "arms" race
this thing would be soo fun on a road tripp like i would want a cop to chase me for that adrenaline rush
yes... worst part? it was last years model too..
Minus the audio love the video Alex.
It's actually FLIR, but an infrasonic wave pulse generator sounds better :)
sick.
The audio isn't bad on this video, the guys voice is just blown out.
clever and original
What the hell is that thing on the front bumper and what does it do?
alex is a funny dude .."good luck with that!"
Hold the phone, was there no sound at the end of the video or was the car actually silent (no exhaust note) when it drove away?? I want this in my life.
capristo exhaust (loud as hell and well known) look them up

alex nice! were was i? you should have stoped by cozy's with that thing!!!

fucking glorious. this is just wonderful.
This thing is more advanced than a James Bond car. Is this the person with the R8 you mentioned who had gone to jail?
a stealth car, i knew someone would do it
alex roy should use THIS in the gumball as a police car "german captured by gumball 144" :)
@LInebacker998 its like bat sonar. it generates a pulse which creates a visual on a heads up display so you can drive completely blacked out at ridiculous speeds and get away with it while speeding passed cops in the dark.
The blackbird needs a youtube channel !
i wish my car was like this
probably not this particular model but I do know what your on about iv seen that episode aswell
sounds like an undercover cop to me. Why else would you need sirens haha I don't know.
So that's where my car is!
any car can be a law breaker, or a road racer (or so most think :) )
IMO, it's a transmission scrambler... probably kills radar and laser transmissions. Also, could scramble digital cellular signals and radio frequencies...
It can't manipulate digital frequency. Police here in gemrany is using 100% digital
supercar with the best mpg
That guy is playing real life Spy Hunter.
the electronics are for breaking the coast to coast speed record (I think he did it in 31 hours)
also, for gumball etc. etc.
Current record (November 2022) is 25 hours I think
What ? This Car can shut down any Controll?
the buttons remind me off K.I.T.T.
where's the turbo boost?
how much all this cost the guy?
It needs FLIR! Connect a FLIR cam to a pico projector mounted in the dash and project it onto the windshield like a HUD. No more lights!
isnt this the AMMONYC audi?
For being filmed five years ago, the picture isn't actually too bad...
When he totals it? Wtf?
isnt this the dud from gumball? the one that goes in the german polizei car???
is this a police car or a coast to coast racer
Is this Andre's car?
Gumball 2010 is from London to NY.
because he got one of the first Audi R8s to hit the states back when this was prepped?
I'll take 5!
Someday im gonna build a car of this caliber
BATMAN!?!?!?!
all that... but no tints???
@ledgendsrus its an open road rally car. listen to the video.
Because he's going to pay attention to all those devices and shift....
One question... why not matte black? That would complete the car. Well.. the Capristo exhaust doesn't help lol..
That's awesome but if he got all that to break the coast to coast speed record why didn't he get the V10? I guess this vid is 4 years old though.
It is a marathon, not a sprint.
You must be a cop lol.
"Infrasound has been known to cause feelings of awe or fear in humans. Since it is not consciously perceived, it can make people feel vaguely that supernatural events are taking place."
As if the roar of that engine wasn't enough... >_>
The owners name is Andre Betz.
Video is filmed with a nice camera. Alex has got a crappy mic buttoned to his shirt.
nice reply but still today no one knows the true nature of that device
I want it.
Most advanced rally car, and he's running gopros for the bumper cams. lmao
no extra fuel cells? gonna be hard to beat the 32 hours 7 min M5
DDE send me here
that audio guy for sure would have been fired on the spot and never hired again if anyone knew about that.
WERE YOU PART OF THE NYMC?? WHAT YEARS?. DO YOU REMEMBER A STOCK BLACK M6/// convertible with RED INTERIOR. BLACK GRILL BADEGES..?
why would you need both????
No such thing. There's always someone more prepared than you.
I don't get it. Why the need for 2 Garmin's and WiFi and about 7 radar detectors? Seems like major overkill to me. The V1 does the job fine. Oh and why would you want to turn your back lights off?
