  • Gwent can be a little bit overwhelming for a beginner. So today I'm launching my beginners guide deck series where we take a look at the Nilfgaard Starter Deck. For just 330 scraps, you can make a few key improvements to give this deck a little more power. I also go through the key synergies, how to play the deck, and recommend some key Nilfgaard gold cards to craft.
    Expanding on their popular Witcher franchise with Gwent, CD Project Red are following the trend of creating their own collectible card game. Players must compete across 3 rounds to outscore their opponent and come out on top.

    It's nice to make that kind of video for new players to learn how to play the game and build their deck.
    Btw, I wanted to say something about the 25 cards limit in Gwent. Going over that limit was a consideration in BETA in some really specific scenarios or decks. In fact, it was sometimes a tactical decision if your deck were thinning itself too aggressively to avoid running out of cards on the long run but in this version of the game you never want to have more than 25 cards because of the provision system.
    Going over 25 cards means that you're lowering your chance to draw the cards you want, as you rightfully pointed out, but it also damage your provision value because your adding cards that obviously cost provisions but are not needed in order to make your deck playable. So you're kinda making your deck more expensive and less efficient at the same time which is very very bad (in other words, you're paying to make your deck worst, essentially).

      Most likely your opponent had a card with the "defender" tag on the row. When there is a defender you cannot target other cards on the row. You would need to either kill the defender or use "purify" to remove the defender status.

      @@marcellsz9990 Witcher's are defined by their profession, not their mutations. So Ciri is technically a Witcher. She doesn't even really need the mutations, like you said she has the Elder Blood, so she's more powerful than any mutant.

      @@marcellsz9990 The Order of the Flaming Rose also kill mages, herbalists, alchemists, anyone they deem 'freaks', etc. Eyck of Denesle is more or less the same as The Order. He also doesn't take coin for killing monsters, making it more of a hobby than a profession. Point being is that just because they kill monsters, doesn't make them Witchers. Their motivations are completely different to that of a Witcher.

    • @marcellsz9990
      @marcellsz9990 4 роки тому

      VictusPrime Yes the motivations are different. But they do same job.. The Order only kills dangerous witches and scoiatels not herbalists, alchemist etc... The witch hunters hunt them... Eyck do this for a mission as a knight errant and have nicer, nobler way of doing this.. Don’t demand money from the poor peasants as witchers do. And I think Ciri is not a witcher... In biologyicly.. not a mutant but in the games she can become a people who has the profession as a witcher with the right choiches
