  • The Master Mirror Gwent expansion is here! Nilfgaard has some great new Spies synergies, and a lot of them also happen to be Aristocrats. So it made sense to combine the two intro a new Nilfgaard powerhouse Deck. Fergus provides a new Aristocrat card, and as the list is a Devotion list the 3 spying tags synergise with Thirsty Dame. Coup De Grace allows you to duplicate any spy, working great with Fergus. The Impera Enforcers may also be used to whittle a non spying unit down for the death blow effect. Braathens and Usurper providese great tempo potential while Amnesty allows you to steal your opponents units, especially engines. Usurper also becomes an Aristocrat in Round, giving massive potential in a short round with Masquerade Ball.

    Expanding on their popular Witcher franchise with Gwent, CD Project Red are following the trend of creating their own collectible card game. Players must compete across 3 rounds to outscore their opponent and come out on top.

    Hi Jaggerous, I appreciate how you take the time to explain the decks and card interactions when your casting tournaments. It can be pretty overwhelming as a new player, so being able to understand what each player is trying to achieve makes it much clearer and enjoyable. Thanks for your wisdom!

    I've had quite some fun with ball and the new spies. I've swopped out the Emissary for another Mage Infiltrator. It seems like they work really well against killing pesky larva! Love that card! And using Coup de Grace on your own gold spies to re-use them is also a wonderful!

    Wow, it is an astonishing dream come true because I have been waiting patiently for you to reply to me. So thank you immensely for your prestigious signature comment and your consideration Jaggerous. I would like to share my thoughts on a few aspects. Firstly, I think this deck is magnificent because it does have a high synergy level, and you can pull out some incredible plays. I can't build it yet because I still need to craft Affan, Vincent and Braathens and they are vital to the success of this deck. I noticed that you couldn't play your Deithwen Arbalests very often, and if you wish to use them, I strongly suggest also including Mage Torturers so that you're able to grant the Spying status for them, yes? Lastly, in my opinion, I stopped using Magne Division because I discovered how restrictive that card is, mainly because it always needs to be alone in a row for it to work. I hope you don't feel offended by this, as I mean no disrespect Jaggerous. I would love to play friendly matches with you and my in-game name is Ascensae77 and I have sent you a friend request, so could you accept me as your friend pls? As a gesture of goodwill, I'm so willing to join your channel so we can share ideas with one another. :)

    I'm been building a devotion deck for each faction (Monsters, Skellige so far) and learning how to play based on your excellent analysis and demonstrations. Thank you Jaggerous! This NG deck will be the next to build and learn how to play. I had a very hard time winning with a Northern Realms devotion deck played by Ace of Cards, so I had to switch out to a non-Devotion NR by Specimen Gwent. Any advice for Scoia'tael or Syndicate Devotion decks? Are they as good? Thank you again Jaggerous

    • @Jaggerous
      @Jaggerous  4 роки тому

      Syndicate isn't great. Same with ST. I haven't had enough time with it to say whether it's good enough or not. SK, NG, and MO feel decent and I think NR has potential too.

  • @lef1354

    The power displayed here is the reason why I'm a firm believer, that the dev/balance team love and I mean LOVE NG. Also why I don't like playing NG, it always has felt strong, not dominant but strong to go against meta decks.
    Question, when do you reckon NG was at its weakest?

    • @Jaggerous
      @Jaggerous  4 роки тому +3

      Nilfgaard is a weird one. People either love it or loathe it. I can understand why people can hate it because it can feel like it has answers to everything you try to do, and it's quite common on the ladder. With that said I think it was in a decent position last patch in terms of power. Strong as you described it. I'd say Scoia'tael is the one the Devs favoured for a long time. Harmony has been a thing for basically a year until now. But Harmony doesn't tend to ruin your strategy quite as much, so it bothers folk less. With that said I do think Nilfgaard is very strong right now. Along with Skellige then maybe Monsters.
      Nilfgaard was actually absolute garbage when it first came out. Like seriously bad for quite a few months. That shows how long I've been playing Gwent. 🙄 It was really good when spies got developed. Then after Homecoming it had no identity for a while. And it's been progressively improving since then.
      Also incase you weren't aware I'm actually the official faction ambassador for Nilfgaard, although I play all the factions because I also make videos and commentate official Gwent esports :)

    • @lef1354
      @lef1354 4 роки тому

      @@Jaggerous Yeah, knew you are the ambassador, that's why I wanted to here your opinion, as someone who likes NG. Have been playing since the beat, off and on all the time but had completely forgot how it played back then.
      Most of the plays from years back I remember, is slave drivers before they got changed and reveal, again before it got changed.

    • @Jaggerous
      @Jaggerous  4 роки тому

      I found that mage infiltrator can sometimes be a bit awkward once you've played a couple spies as they tend to block value. Having the option of a boost can be nice to protect things or play around damage effects. It's fine either way though.
