Great guide for new players. I would recommend this guide for every new player I encounter. Keep it up :)
Hi there...Looking for some help. I left the game 2 years ago and recently came back. Before I left I had hundreds of cards. Now all of my decks are missing and all I have are starter decks. Can you tell me what happened? I put over 1000 hours into the game and now I can't find anything.
Fellow South African here. I started playing GWENT yesterday and it is an awesome game. Thanks for the great beginner tips. Subbed. 😊
I like your videos! Keep going! Videos talking about theories are more attracting than simple gameplay recordings
im new to this kind of game and you actually impress me for the details you told.very well said.hoping for more vid coz ill hit that "like" and "subscribed" button.
Recently started playing this after the mobile release. Loving it so far! Great video, thanks for the tips!
Thanks, needed the help now that I moved from HS to Gwent (and loving it so far). I hereby declare you the Kripp of Gwent!
thank you for the tips, great vid
I played a lot of the "old" standalone gwent but I have so much trouble getting in the homecoming one. They removed 1 row and silver cards it's quite confusing for a returning player
Completely agree. I was a good player and had high ranked finishes in the old gwent. Than I didn't played for like 2 years and now its like I have to learn a new game.
I’ve been playing since the Beta version, and even I’m still getting used to all the new changes that’s been happening since then. And I’ve been playing consistently since Beta
Ugg same never lost with the northern realms deck. 3 row system gotta learn new cards and a a 2 row system now with new cards!
Great guide! You earned a new subscriber. Might I request a video about how to deal with an opponent with lots of engine cards? I'm relatively new and I play with the Monsters starter deck (with some modifications) and I do pretty good for the most part, but I just get obliterated when I face somebody with lots of engines.
Yea it could be good idea to do so. Its quite a tricky concept for new players as there is often a lot of math and thinking involved so definitely may be a topic worth covering.
Also don't be discouraged if you keep losing in the beginning it takes a while to get your winning streak going...for the most part 😅
I think the general thing I’m learning here is that I need to learn the cards and fully understand how they work.
Yes, play a deck until you master cards. I used to draw cards and not know where to put them because you don't get to read them when you use a special card to draw from deck. Also read each card carefully! I fudge up cards all the time because i'm reading too fast. Make sure you understand how the card works fully before you play it
Take note of the factions and cards your opponents play, this will also help give you an idea of how to build your own decks. There are too many cards to focus on 1 faction and mastering it, you’ll get left behind and defeated all the time coz people experiment with different techniques daily
it took me like 2 minutes to figure out what the heck he means when saying “pause” until i realised he meant “pass”.
dude this the weirdest accent I’ver ever heard.
pause = pass
cake = keg
caught = card
dig = deck
the solve = themselves
Youre honestly the only one with this problem. His accent isnt bad at all
Kool-Aid Man Well, I didn’t try to say that it’s bad. I’m not a native english speaker and I just never heard an accent like this. Nothing wrong about it.
@@DC9V stop emphasizing it in every comment.
samuraiwarrior87 I bet you play Nilfgard Lockdown.
My respect for this man is insane he actually explains good tips
I started this week to play gwent and I'm been using many of these tips. I'm focusing only in Scoia'Tael right now, they are my favorite.

Very helpful
How should you build a deck? For example how many special cards should you have and how many tactic cards and ratios of decks on general
So i'm down in rank 28 or so, and usually the opponents I face are unrelenting, to the point of running us out to 3 or even 0 cards in round one, they're overcommitting hard, should I just pass and let them take the round? or do I push myself to 4 cards at round 2.
hello thanks for this guide. i just started playing gwent 4days ago on xbox one and downloaded it too on pc. im just wondering how i've gotten enough materials to use on crafting on xbox when i was about level level 8, and now on pc currently level 7 and no materials to use for crafting. i'm a bit confused how i've gotten those materials. i just wish that i could also use my xbox account on pc.thanks in advance
If you've ever tried to play or had an account on beta you got resources for that.Otherwise Im not sure.
I always won first round, immediately pass 2nd, and go straight for 3rd. It
might not sound like a good strategy, but works perfectly for me.
So u win the round by having more points than your opponent basically?
Pretty much yeah
that’s what I like about Gwent and it having a different mechanics to win than other card games
Lekker Man
thanks for the video dude ^_^
sorry but how do you change the skins of your leader ???
On the screen where you're about to chose to play Seasonal/Classic/Training, at the bottom if check out there is an option together with cardback and board options.
Jimmys921 thanks alot dude, god im so stupid sometimes
@@mybad.7164 No worries, happens to the best of us!
Some tips:
Start with monster. And use the larva. Your welcome. Always test in practice
4:09 Turn up subtitles.
If a person has engine cards and does have a huge gap lead, why does it matter whether you pass first or they pass first (besides you not wasting cards)? Do they get some other advantage by passing first?
Nope just card advantage really
I despise the fact I forgot you can craft cards. I presumed you could only get them in barrels and as a reward after a match. I wasted so much time its unreal.
*7:48*
*Yes the floor here is made of floor*
#1 just do what everyone does watch a short video on the deck you want then net deck it and play it exactly like the person you watched play it, the majority of the people you face does it
Noticed the SA accent instantly
Hi Spyro, great vid, question in regards to purchasing Kegs, i know at the start you should be focusing on one faction. When do you think it would be time to switch to purchasing the basic keg/other faction kegs?
I swap factions a lot. I know I shouldn’t, but I get bored playing the same one all the time.
Ofc if you played for a long time already and gather resources, you can invest on different faction
Whats the summary?
Why isnt this gwent game like mine in witcher 3...is it a mod?
Why do you sound like a South African🤨. Anyway great guide/tips. Been playing since the beginning and my 2 goals are to win a 9 round arena run, and secondly, to reach pro rank😓. Any tips on that?
I WANT MY DECK FROM THE WITCHER 3 GAME LET US CONNECT PLEASE
i miss the old gwent.
Beta gwent was sick. Lol
I could straight away hear that your South African
Maybe play a certain faction for like say three days straight and then move to the next and keep rotating or so
thought i recognised that accent 😂
Same
If u know you’ve got the round won then it’s time to pass.
Lol never be too sure.
@@AlphaQHard even if u lose a round having card advantage is much better
Holy shit you talk fast
Nothing says "I want to be a famous UA-camr" like those hideous racing chairs. Seriously, those things are played out.
The 3 Round system is ass... it makes individual rounds matter less and the latter rounds basically see one side forced to keep playing. If maybe you scored points based on something like a part of your score on the round, or something similar, I'd think it'd be more engaging
Gwent is trash now
write it please, we can read it for 30 seconds but i haven't 20 minutes to watch whole video =( respect our time
Wow, respect HIM and realize that watching videos helps him out maybe...? If you don't want a video then just Google an actual text guide, what are you doing in UA-cam?
Then get of the UA-cam and go read all the team aretuza lessons ;)
Watching a video is much more helpful to me than reading an article. I find it easier to absorb the information in video format rather than just reading paragraph after paragraph about something, a lot of people learn more effectively this way and maybe that's why he made it into a video rather than an article. Also, this is UA-cam isn't it?
did someone forced you to watch the video? when i dont like one i just close it and watch something else. saves me time
Yet you have time to write this. Plus... you are on youtube... complaining about the fact that it's a video, not an article... lol.
