Gwent | Inspired Zeal Ranked Deck Guide | Going Commando

- Northern Realms is somewhat underrated in the current Gwent meta. The newly emerging Commando Inspired Zeal deck has a lot of potential for some big power plays. The deck has great synergy with Blue Stripe Commandos and Scouts, allowing you to duplicate your Commandos and swarm the board. Pavetta can then be used to put all the Commandos back in your deck and replay them for round 3. Roche:Merciless allows for the creation of an additional Commando, and yet another way to thin them from your deck, along with Royal Decree. The deck also has great removal options with Seltkirk, Phillipa, Falibor, and Boiling Oil, giving you some good answers to more engine heavy decks.

@@targettmark88 it changes with each Gwent season. I really like NR and Syndicate at the moment because they feel strong but challenging to pilot at their best :)
Would love to see a Syndicate deck. They have released the starter pack but if possible, without it.
Welcome back! There was a hybrid SK deck that ran both the greatsword package and Gedyneith. I'd love to see that. I'd also appreciate a primer on Scorch/Igni decks -- when to consider them, the strategic gameplan for such decks, and how to set up the namesake cards.

Great videos. Love how you take time to click each card (easier to see what it looks like), explaining all the abilities. Soooo many cards don’t say everything it will do. (ie: Blue stripes commando isn’t clear about it being able to summon the blue stripes scouts). Super helpful too, how explain the strategies along each play in an actual game! I’d also love to see tips on getting engines going. My cards always get zapped before I can get things up and rolling. Well, keep up the great videos!

@@luisfelipeyanezvasquez7314 NR is generally pretty weak right now. This deck is alright, but outside of this most of NR ends up being a few golds and a pile of bronzes. That either looks like Caretaker Siege decks or a Siege Shupe deck, both being very draw dependent and feel pretty meh.

I know you played NR but can you play the nerfed pincer maneuver. If not then can you say card recommendations or which round to pass

I removed Philippe and added Ves and Matta. Matta greatly increases the consistency of the deck, and Ves provides another source of Zeal.
how did he play so many copies of vangard from hand(1st game)? I mean considering the 2 card limit? :s
Did you ever consider going for a 2-0 in the first game?
You could for sure. The difficulty for me was because he was playing a home brew, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from him, so it's hard to judge the strength of his hand. Plus with two bodies on the board Phillipa removal becomes much more unreliable compared to passing into round 3 and resetting the number of targets.
What if I replace Seltkirk with Anseis?
Go instead for NR strategem and anyone of them. Having two who do the same won't be a good combo
How Azures works?
Alzur's Double Cross? It draws the highest power card from your deck. If more than one card has the same highest power it draws one of them randomly.
Hey there, I build my first deck from your video, now I'm pro rank.
I have to say though - NR in general are rather garbage now. I had more success playing NR in pro rank with Boost NR including Shani and Vysogota (!!!) than Stripes. Basically if you fail to draw stripes R1 you lose. Fail to shuffle them back - you lose. And don't even get me started on 4 bricks in R3 mulligan with 15 cards in the deck. Good luck drawing anything but damned commandos. At absolute best Draug plays for 15 points on a fully stacked row (which never happens) and you can't use him on last say - for the only win condition this deck has it's very underwhelming to say the least.
Overall if that's the best NR has to offer than it has rightfully taken it's place next to Monsters in meta.
You forget the Revenants can multiply themselves if they last hit and can taget your own board too. So it's not as simple as that. Yes the deck is draw dependent, but there are strategies if you draw badly. I do concede some games you'll draw horrifically and just lose, but I do feel the deck has a decent amount of potential. I know people are getting decent NR MMR with this on proladder. With that said it's a very hard deck to pilot and does much better on red coin, so definitely one that takes practice.
@@Jaggerous And how often do you get more than 1 or 2 revenants off of that? Don't forget that you need to keep free slots on the row, so It cancels out. For Draug to play for more than 15 points you have to be incredibly lucky in proccing deathblows on revenants which just doesnt happen - 3 point removal is laughably easy to manage.
At least it's better than the alternative singleton siege mobillization. Now that one is embarrassingly bad.
In the end, I'd much rather meme with my bro Vysogota vs NG enslave than try to pull 5 cards in my hand in R1 just not to flop on my ass completely in R3.
P.S. I have enjoyed the video, and expecting more content, maybe with SY decks? I've heard they are en vogue now. Reasonably complex without being horrendous.
the problem with this deck is that it need so much luck to win round 3 ... if you didn't draw the right cards in round 2 and three you will loose for sure ..... it happened to me soo many time .... some time i didn't get the princess in round 2 and some time the drague or the blue commando .... i prey alot when i use this deck .. soo many disadvantages on it.
It's a very draw dependant deck. But it feels so good when it works.
