Why can't people just do honest thumbnails and use the same pose in both? It's impossible to tell the real results because the face behaves differently when smiling vs not. At 2:45, there is a side by side in the same facial position, but there's clearly either a filter applied or it's purposefully out of focus. Look at the difference in the eyes.
