I am ok with that. Never having been to the places Ivan and Evelina go to, I like seeing the restaurants and grocery stores. When I travel, I try to go in a grocery store at every place I visit. One of my favorites was a grocery store in a small town in Greenland. It was suprisingly big! ❤
Will indeed be interesting how Ivan will get this channel running without the "Russian" content ... Most of us came here for the "Russian thing", but maybe not all of us are interested in Thailand tourist stuff.

Thailand is a great place to live but their visa system can be difficult. It's very hard to achieve residence security as a foreigner.

“Yep, I am cool with them” shrug, and just keep walking if asked.
Learn about them, just don’t talk about them.
Especially in your situation.
This is non issue. Thai people will not initiate Thai political or monarchy conversations with foreigners. Obviously, foreigners shouldn't initiate those with Thais. As far as your home country politics, very few Thais will know anything about it and will be bored and annoyed if you talk to them about it. Also even if they are critical of the Thai government if you criticize your own government they will not be at all impressed as they would not do that with a foreigner.
So excited that you safe and are not in Russia anymore.

Hate to break it to you but many people never learn a new language. It was easy for Ivan being immersed while young. For adults it's a different ball game.

Many changes in your life, and based on the short life history you shared, you seem uniquely prepared for change. Having Evelena with you is worth its weight in gold because otherwise, it would be a lonely transition. I have 3 different 7-Elevens within 5 minutes from me here in Florida, and I'm 10 minutes away from the Gulf of Mexico.

Oh, yeah. Pine Island is killer in the summer. And they there are those GMO mosquitos. But there are some great things about Florida, too. Like Cap'n Cons in Bokeelia and The Bubble Room on Sanibel. Just getting too congested and only for the rich. If I hear one more commercial on the radio about diamonds, human growth hormone or facelifts, I think I'm going to go postal! lol

Ivan...small hint for living in Thailand: Don't wear so much black. :) Also, in heavy humidity, its good to wear very light long sleeve shirts that are airy. (It keeps the humidity off the skin and makes you feel more comfortable.) BIG THING: Cover up and wear your sunscreen! A guy with your complexion is a walking sunburn/skin cancer magnet. Glad your adventure is off to such great start!
Hey, Ivan I hope your transition to Thailand goes smoothly. Also, I tried those Choco Pies. They taste almost exactly like those wagon wheel cookies I used to eat in the 90s’ when I was a kid but more cakey and expensive.

Hi Ivan and Evelina. Congrats on new apt. Looks like you are getting a bit of sunburn on your face. You guys need to wear a lot of sunscreen, sunglasses and hats with brims to cover your face. You can ruin your eyesight from UV rays, not to mention skin cancer. I never go outside in hot weather, sunny or not without full protection. Even cloudy hot days have harmful UV rays. Just saying. You need to be mindful of your health esp in a country without health insurance unless you got travel health insurance coverage. One never knows. You look more relaxed leaving Russia. Having a place to live is peace of mind and less uncertainty for you and Evelina and the kitties as well. P.S. Some of the ladies there are really guys which you probably are aware of. Hard to tell by just looking at them. I've been to Thailand. We have 7-Eleven in Canada which stays open late. I love Root Beer. Has a unique flavor. I love the nice thin crepe (pancake) Evelina had. I like these. Anyways, wishing you both all the best.
