The funniest part isn’t in the video - he did successfully drive to the top of the mountain. The only glitch was he flew home from there in a helicopter leaving the car up there to be driven back down. Only he forgot to leave the keys with the car and flew off with them in his pocket!
Imagine being a boy having a sight alone alongside some bloaks who appearto be holding multiple studio equipments and then one man comes and picks you up, complains that you are in one of his arm and can't use the seat and then puts you back driving away like a lunatic
I remember when my dad used to have a 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE when I was 10 years old. Because my dad had the HSE specification it was pretty much loaded to the gills with all the bells and whistles, including but not limited to, tri-zone climate control, heated front & rear seats (which were upholstered in a really nice cream leather!), rear audio controls, you name it! It also had a DVD player as well, which I don’t think was fitted from the factory as it was actually a third-party Rosen unit, but it was a nice bonus. Plus, its air suspension meant it was a very comfortable and relaxing car to travel in too...
This is by far the most practical and best designed Land Rover family ever made and I am still driving the Disco 3 everyday since it was launched in 2004. The 2017 model is just not Man enough!
I don't think the seats are that hard to move. I own the 4.4L v8. The gas mileage isn't great but it's not that awful. The power from that motor is great. I love driving the Rover. Hard to beat that comfort

Great item from Top Gear when the Disco 3 came out. Only just noticed that he got the back radio controls very wrong! The controls are for the headphones. A very useful tool.

My girlfriend must have been a saint. I trusted Land Rover but had no other option at the time.
Land rovers - yes they have bad build quality, they are meant to be utilitarian vehicles, not luxury, besides over 70% of them are still on the road now - how many car makers can claim that 70% of their vehicles are still on the road even the ones from the late 1940s.
Of course you are..... from the very first letter of the opening sentence it was clear. My 1953 Series 1 had a canvas "tilt" (canvas covering) from the top of the windscreen frame to level with the tailgate. The rear canvas panel was laced into place and one only had to lift up the rear canvas and toss the kid into the back with the dogs. The gas tank was under the driver's seat and it really did go anywhere. My last LR was a 2005 Range Rover and I spent more time in a rental car than it.
I remember a road trip of around 900km on a really hot summer day through germany - I saw THREE of those rovers broken down on the autobahn throughout the day.
Hey! Kate Bush tune in the background! Also, I like how Clarkson actually is less... zealous than he is with many cars. He does properly point out the good bits and the bad bits.
