This might be my favorite G-Shock I've seen. I like that you show it on your wrist from a bit of a distance, not only close-up - gives a good view of what it looks like when worn out. Very nice looking on-wrist. Cheers!
I've always fancied the CasiOak look. Everything is so nice, except the size. Thank you for bringing this beautiful JDM piece into my attention! There is somebody at Casio, who really deserves a huge raise for coming up with this one.
Just received mine. It’s fantastic! It’s the g-steel that I’ve always wished they would make. Its size is perfect on my 7” wrist. Wears like a 39/40mm. I love it
Ordered it immediately after watching this and just got it in today. It's amazing and everything I could want in a go anywhere and do anything watch. The size is what seals the deal for me. Ive grown to prefer watches on the smaller end and thats tough to find in g shocks unless you get a square. I have larger wrists at 7.5" and at 41mm this watch looks amazing. Casio hit a homerun here.
Well after watching this video about 10 times over the past 6 months I bought it 😂. Arrived today and it is awesome!! Thanks for introducing us to this model.
Wow been wanting to buy a Casio for a while but haven't found anything that piqued my interest. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED! Great design and perfect size!!! Oh yeah this is on my list to get for sure! Thank you for another great watch video!!! 😀
I looking for my first G-Shock a wile ago, diving on the web, went a few times in shops, but after this video I ordered it. My GST-B600D-1AJF is on it's way to me. I need to say thank you for your presentation, I enjoyed the artistic shots.
Update: My watch from Japan has arrived. Upon opening the box, I was nearly moved to tears. The watch is so petite that the numbers on the digital display elude my aging eyes, and on my 20cm wrist, it resembles a toy watch. Consequently, I sold it immediately. A compact size (on a 18mm strap!) does not necessarily mean it's better for everyone.
Absolutely beautiful, I was looking for my first G-Shock and this seems to include all the cool and modern features (solar, bluetooth, steel, design) while maintaining a sleeker design
Another great video, thank you for the detailed and informative look at this G-Steel watch! I'm a big fan of the G-Steel series, owning the GST-B200 and GST-B300. None of the newer ones have appealed to me, as I like the bigger, chunkier looking older ones (and the new ones seem to offer less features in the LCD display). I've been thinking of a GA-B2100 Casioak, because I love the solar and bluetooth features, but now I'm thinking that I need to give this latest G-Steel watch another look. It just might be the right combination of the G-Steel and Casioak features that appeal to me. I just realized the absence of a second hand, which might be a deal killer for me, as I use the second hand all the time. Bummer.
Just pulled the trigger on the rubber strap model! It is awesome, didn’t even know I was wearing it. Superb! Thanks for e review, it is everything u said it was 👍
Snagged the black/red accents rubber strap ver for $180! Can't resist for the price. First Gshock, Thanks for the video, wouldn't have known about this otherwise
This makes me a little peeved considering I just bought a GM2100 Casioak 2 weeks ago, and this watch just looks so much better. I love my Casioak, but it looks like I'm going to have to buy this one now too. Thanks, LOL!
They look sharp! I've been looking to get my son a nice watch for graduation, but his job might be hard on an automatic watch. This looks like the perfect combination of looks, ruggedness, ease of maintenance, and price.
After replaying your video mere times, I got myself this one. It is amazing! right size, light weight not to cheesy, while being classy enough for some occasions since the dial and the solar plat are quite unnoticable. overall, it gives the smart - causal - tough - youthful vibes. the best so far.
I certainly enjoyed this video, it introduced me to a watch I see myself saving up for and wearing in a few years. The design looks great and seems very readable, all in a well-sized package which would even work for my extremely skinny wrists. Currently I am saving up for other things, but when I have more money to spare for a watch, I'll certainly be looking into getting my hands on this JDM.
Watch are the ultimate Men's accesories!Enjoyed watching your collection. Keep going! As a watch enthusiast and watch reviewer, I can say MAMACOO this was a great choice. Enjoyed your video!
I'm always tempted by the GSteel line ... but I always pay a bit more for the screw in caseback, milled clasp and 'Made In Japan' label on the Full Metal line. Thanks for the review! Great channel!
Looks like a budget version of my MTG B3000 with similar quality. I do wish they would go back to a second hand on the GST range. Hopefully they'll release this outside Japan although it would probably be around £350 in the UK.
Looks great but wish casio stopped overpricing all their steel watches. They are just preying on fashionistas who pay for "rare" items that are only rare because no normal person is paying $450 extra for a steel case. And worst of all it still has mineral glass, terrible.
it's still an awesome value proposition. It's jam packed with original tech and unique design to G-Shock. Show me another watch that does all this for this price? Do I wish it had sapphire? Yes. Would I even pay extra for the sapphire? Yes.
Dude, their watches are now in the thousands. Where you been? Lol. They’ve lost their damn minds. Nice watch Casio, too bad I’ll never see those cool ones in reality because nobody can/will buy them. Brilliant.
What do you mean 'nobody can/will buy them?'. Speak for yourself, G-Shocks costing a lot more than this fly off the shelves because collectors see the value in them. This is an absolute steal at this price in terms of spec and design.@@mistadopeman
@@mistadopeman The thing is if they max out the specs on this mid-tier model, it would cannibalise their higher-end models. That's a no-no in product development and sales. It's the right move, Casio have been around the block more than once, they know what they are doing, and they couldn't care less if you personally can't afford it. They cannot cater to everyone, even if this was 1/3 of the price, you'd still get people complaining....
the full metal squares made in japan with the screwed case back on an actual metal case do exude a certain feeling of quality, that i would be (pleasantly) surprised to see replicated on this g-steel. this g-steel does however look really great for the money! can't wait to see one in person. purple with the rubber would be perfect
Wow! I am so glad I haven't pulled the trigger on any other G-Shocks yet! This hits all of the features I would want with one exception, the integrated band. Assuming the bracelet is a quality one I think I can overlook that, but otherwise this may be the perfect analog G-Shock.
Absolutely love this latest addition to the G-Shock line and keeping my fingers crossed that Casio releases this in rose and yellow gold just in time for spring/summer or Father's Day, as I'm ready to purchase!!
Now that is a beautiful watch - I considered it and the watch with slightly less features, which I ended up choosing - being the Casio Edifice EFS-S570YDC-1AJF . This watch, for me, is the nicest wach I ever had, just because it ticks all my checkboxes. With it being gunmetal gray I also got the silver Casio Lineage (blach watch face model) to fill the role of a silver dress watch - although the B600 was a close choice I wanted something less thick to truly be the "other side" of the S570ydc which is veeery slim.
Excellent review & release. Casio missed the point with the recent Casiotron as an expensive limited edition and the "pseudo-small-Duro", but this is an outstanding hit in the bull's-eye on the G-Shock niche. I'm so used to see big Gs that i'm impressed this looks so compact, like an average Orient or Citizen diver. It's also very restrained aesthetically but still a G-Shock - a remarkable thing. The price is right i think.
I bought a watch from MAMACOO lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.
G-STEEL is probably the most underrated G-SHOCK series, and it seems like they've solved the biggest problem with the series: size. They've been sizing down the G-STEELs each year and it's pretty impressive they managed to make a G-STEEL slimmer than even the Casioak. Does feel slightly weird to have the jumping minutes without a seconds hand or indicator though.
I just received mine after ordering from Japan yesterday. I am also impressed by this watch and love that Casio decided to make a G-Steel that is more traditionally watch sized. I also like the dial with the red accents but I do think the bracelet model is the way to go. Too bad you can't have that dial on a bracelet. I actually have a GST-B400 which previous to this release was the "smallest" G-Steel with red accents and a resin strap (which I've actually put on leather). Which made that decision easier.
G-Steel's are in my opinion the most underrated lineup of G-Shocks. It's in a weird middle ground, but those who have owned one know that they're phenomenal pieces for the money. My first G-Steel was the GST-S110D which I loved and still to this day is my most worn G, but I just recently picked up a GST-B400. After hearing that they cheaped out on the bracelet on GST-B500. It was sad to hear that they did that since I loved the look of the B500. Hopefully this new B600 is a hit!
I did look at this but after a couple of months of Tuna & Samurai wear it actually looked "too small" I know, crazy right? I ended up with the GST- B500 which is very similar in overall design but around 48mm but again tapers up thru the layered construction, you also get the red accents while retaining the very comfortable bracelet. It has the same features including Bluetooth pairing for accuracy. The negative display is legible in daylight and with the B500's own illumination, in low light conditions it's harder to read. The watch feels light after a 200+ gram Samurai on a chunky Hexad bracelet, coming in at 150 ish grams less the 4 removed links. I really like the spring bar links, super easy to remove and I found it very easy to reassemble without tools. For a traditional watch guy, I think either of these is a good choice, depending on your size preference. The B500 wears like a 44/45mm Seiko, the relatively short lug to lug length helping out here. The finishing is much better than I expected, fine brushing in a variety of orientations, with sharp transitions to highly polished facets. I think G-Shock's decision to market smaller pieces that will appeal to the traditional watch guy is inspired if a little overdue.
It is such a great piece indeed. For me there is one more important aspect - the trend of increasing case sizes is finally starting to break. For me, a watch should be an accessory, not a replacement for your personality. Don't get me wrong but I think some people, men especially, have lost their sense of good taste in this matter. And now you can wear a steel G-Shock as an accessory rather than as a compass on your wrist. Thank you for showing us this piece.
For every Casio that they launch that sucks there is one like this that is just phenomenal! This seems very nice but I wish they would have put the display in positive display. Have a great day Andrei!
it BROKE MY HEART when I realized the MTG-G1000 was 50mm... Would have been the perfext watch - had EVERYTHING I wanted. $eeing this gives me hope they make a smaller version of that watch wif a globe on the dial and a day of the week indicator
Nice video! Subscribed for another casios/GSTs in the future. I own full stainless steel GST B500 with the red accents (D-1A). I really like the montage of the watch focused on center when your hand tucked into the jacket. Enjoy your video, thanks!
I wish Japanese brands had tried making their own Indiglo variants, imagine if these Casio's had that instead of their awful LED lights, they'd look SO much better. Indiglo was stuff of the future. I had a Timex Reef Diver Chronograph with Indiglo as a teenager and to this day, even with my absurdly large watch collection with unique complications etc NOTHING is as satisfying as turning on the Indiglo was.
FINALLY! SMALL WRIST BROS, ASSEMBLE! I have a 6.5" wrist and have watched the Casioaks from the sidelines because they look ridiculous on smaller wrists. The minis they came out with last year were great but the color schemes were clearly intended for women. I can't wait to try this in person 💪💪
I got the rubber strap version with the black dial. It was way smaller than I was expecting, so I sold it. If the band was wider or without taper, it would have looked better. It seemed like a kid’s watch on my 7.5” wrist.
With those screws it's more Genta-esque than the Casioak, if you ask me. The size and the design is top. Maybe it's a bit too smart for my liking, but that's a minor annoyance and I get it why they put the features in it: they have to compete with smart watches. Bravo Casio, S Tier, 10/10, certified G-Classic for me. Brb, let me deep dive eBay for one.
0:06 Crazy, so only $100 USD? My GM-2100 Casio Oak was only $200 so this is an incredible deal by Casio especially seeing as this is an all metal version!! This has turned me into a Casio fan! Giving the fans more for less!

@@copenh21 nah, it looks ridiculous and ugly. Glad gshock is going in this direction, much better looking and proportioned for 6+ inch wrists
Good review, nice looking watch :)
Nice video! Subscribed for another casios/GSTs in the future. I own full stainless steel GST B500 with the red accents (D-1A).
I really like the montage of the watch focused on center when your hand tucked into the jacket. Enjoy your video, thanks!
Excellent watch, review and video. Looks like I have something new to shop for... Again. 😂
Haha! Cheers!
Looks awesome! Great video!
Thank you :)
Some stunning shots. Casio know how to make a good looking watch!
So I see my dream G-Shock is now reality.
I can’t find it online at the Casio store? Can you share the link for the metal band GST-B600?
Just ordered one , so glad they decided to downsize 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Great value! Was looking at the MTG-B3000-1A for the red accents and black rubber band but looks like this is a worthy alternative 😁
I got the rubber strap version with the black dial. It was way smaller than I was expecting, so I sold it. If the band was wider or without taper, it would have looked better. It seemed like a kid’s watch on my 7.5” wrist.
sensibly sized gshocks im all for it
I was looking at the metal casioak. But this one fits the bill; and more affordable.
casio are on too a winner with this g shock stunner
