This was great, I been tryin to find out about "what is the best dried dog food on the market?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Sonannah Curious Smasher - (just google it ) ? It is a good one of a kind product for discovering how to unlock the secret the dog food industry is hiding minus the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my friend got amazing success with it.

What is your guys thoughts on letting your dog gain weight in the summer and leaning them out in the winter? I’ve always though the opposite.

Nice vid Ethan, our 6mth old won’t eat the amount she should and looks skinny....
You mention 10 to15mile today, have DTS collars you use got a simple gps in them to find a lost dog or to log distance travelled..?

2feeds per day. Raw chicken necks at breakfast, Raw food diet has been partly ok, chicken frames with chopped red meat for dinner.
Dry food (kibble) gets zero results, she won’t touch it. Won’t eat bones, just buries them, highly play driven.

Very helpful video. Are the comments valid for all hunting breeds? Do you change protein and fat levels when you know the dogs will be more stressed? (two day hunt trip vs five day)

Great questions we just increase the volume of food a little 1-2 cups more total. For example all fall I fed 1 cup in the morning and 3 cups in the evening. On recovery days I fed 2.5 in the am and 2.5 in the pm.

What do you think about using bowls with dividers(mazes the bowl look like a maze) in it to slow the dog down while eating?

Any tips on a dog that drinks every bit of water in sight? Anything water related she’s into it. Toilet, puddles, water dish, sink, and mostly snow is a big issue. She’ll shovel mouthfuls of snow to the point she overloads herself and pukes pure water up. Or she’ll have no control of her blatter.

How old is your dog? Have you run any bloodwork at the vet? Could be an underlying issue that needs to be addressed!

How many times do you feed a day? I feed my gsp hunting dogs 3x a day 1 cup of victor. It seems to be ok. No problems. They are lean and healthy

Kibble is more calorie dense though. Really active dogs you’d be feeding a huge quantity of raw food which isn’t realistic to carry around on a hunting trip.

@@crankyoldlady5433 I'd like a complete kibble feed for humans. Think of how easy that would be. Pour myself a few cups of food per day, done. No fuss.
