Unfortunately they have passed on they will always ne rememered thanks to tv loved the show I enjoyed watching them .I would of loved to meet them 😢. Thanks for the great memories 😊
I enjoyed their hilarious and fun antics very much! In fact I cooked up Jennifer's Meatloaf and Clarissa's Yorkshire Gingerbread for a tribute dinner for my family yesterday! :D
I’ve been binge watching UA-cam the last two days because of these bodacious beauties! So sad to hear they have passed😢 You just know amazing when you see it....Thankyou Ladies,RIP❤️
I think these ladies are wonderful. Sometimes hard to follow recipe wise, but they make me laugh and I feel good watching them. Also very informative food wise.
I have their entire series on DVD and I watch a season every Saturday and Sunday morning. There were four in all, three of them complete. Sadly, Jennifer passed after the fourth episode of the fourth season, from lung cancer. Then, Clarissa died a year ago this spring. If you have the mean, I highly recommend buying this set. It's subtitled, so you can catch every word of their hilarious banter. Love the ladies
@@mojosbigsticks Yes, have got it all, this is my childhood, love the two of them such a shame I will never be able to meet them in person, however their exceptional cooking skills and love for food shall live forever..
I love this show. I am not afraid of butter , bacon or anything fattening, the taste is delicious. Hard to believe they are dead . I watch them over and over. I'm a fat lady too.😉😉
Although we as humans are living longer and healthier I suppose, I have seen advanced ageing. A handful weather it fairly well. The rest struggle with their bodies giving out and breaking down. Most of those left have lost their close friends and some relatives too. Living into one's 90's is most often not a fun adventure. Yes there are exceptions but not many. Recently a man of 55 was diagnosed with lung cancer. Never smoked jogged ate all the perfect things..etc etc etc...in one month he bought the farm anyway ! Live life as YOU decide. At the end it's only you dying. lol What wonderful humans they both were....simply maaaavelous.
Actually about 1 whole episode plus another 15 or so minutes of snippets from the same episode are up. The only outtakes, sadly, are musical accompaniment - for copyright reasons (not Jennifer's hilarious burstings out into song, thank God!)...
If only they had only lived long enough, they would be venerated by the ketogenic dieting community and invited to speak alongside MDs at global conferences on high fat, low carb diets. Even though they featured desserts at times, their focus was on locally grown proteins and fats.
i think they would have assumed that there was bread or a similar carb with every meal and thought it would be so normal it wasn't worth mentioning. in many of their dishes they mention that it should be served with rice or crusty bread or buttered noodles. i HIGHLY doubt they were foregoing bread at all
Oh, I don't know. If there was one thing that the ladies had, it was an OUTSTANDING disdain for anything 'healthy'. So, pasta, pastries, meats, cream and butter, all with a delightful eagerness.
MoonEyes2k - which all appear to be not so unhealthy as we have been told, by latest news. Their recipes consist what people ate these days and diabetes was quite rare and obesity too.
Quips about their food making them fat. Actually we have now learned their food is perfectly healthy. It is all real. Ironically the food was not what made either of them fat. For Clarissa it was a damaged thyroid from alcoholism earlier in life. For Jennifer she was never really slim except when quite young so her weight was genetic. They were so much fun.
They weren't exactly behemoths, anyway. It was mainly a cute, devil-may-care gimmick for the show. Pat Llewellyn, may she R.I.P., was a genius in the world of television...
No. Jennifer died during the making of the fourth season. They did six episodes per season and completed three. After four episodes of the fourth season, Jennifer took ill and was rushed to hospital, where they diagnosed her with lung cancer. She died shortly after. Clarissa passed a year ago herself, I cannot remember the cause.
They are LEGENDS. Lovely ladies still changing the world for the better in 2023.
I love them!! Still do RIP 🙏🏼
I always loved this show. Their banter was so entertaining. RIP fat ladies. I wish you were here to make new episodes.

Pure comfort cooking show. Hilarious and educational with great upper middle class British style.

Have a go at Clarissa's autobiographies as well. Fascinating.

Thank you! I did not realize they were on DVD!
@@TVHouseHistorian all the episodes are on youtube for free as well, just search for two fat ladies
LOVED these two ladies! Jennifer looked like my Mum, even to the owly glasses. But my Mum was a so-so cook.
I LOVED them!
RIP Jennifer Paterson.(1928 - 1999 )
And, as I found out today, RIP Clarissa Dickson Wright, (1947-06-24 to 2014-03-15)
***** Sad news, but thank you. She had been in poor health lately.
They spoke such beautiful English. When was the last time you heard a native speaker of English roll their r's?
Upon first impressions you would not think there were 19 years between both their ages. People age at different rates.
Love Love Love this show
They spoke such perfect English! how I loved their series

I love those ladles, they clearly loved what they were doing and doing it was fun!
For some reason UA-cam has stopped showing the full episodes. All we get now are snippets. Sad really.I enjoyed watching the complete shows.
Hi... look up Negresti Sonicx
Their channel on here has the whole

Wow what ever happened to Bob on Et., miss Bob.❤😊
Wayne King, tread those sour grapes, make yourself some wine my dear fellow!
Wouldn't that be 'whine', rather?
Well observed, that could very well be!
Had to throw in that @#$^#$%^%#$ cholesterol joke, didn't you? Why?
David Browning Because he had to be cute. The "passion for pastry and pasta" line was tasteless as well.

2 cool ole ladys
do Americans say 'kitchen' ? or is it food counter or something
Most say kitchen
@@marshalljimduncan unless it's a food counter (caf in British)
I thought they were very sharp especially Clarissa!
They're better than Kylie Kwong, Emeril Lagasse, Mario Batali, John Besh, Paula Deen and even Jamie Oliver.

Generics has very little to do with overeating fat and calorie laden foods and inactivity!
Genetics “Suri should have said!”
Lol genetic

Are they still alive?
No. Jennifer died during the making of the fourth season. They did six episodes per season and completed three. Well, they loved to cook that's for sure!
no, Jennifer died in 1999 and Clarrisa died last year.
