Not my copyright, just sharing found ephemera.
I still watch them at least once a year. The show is one of my comfort series. I miss them and their banter so much. I miss Clarissa’s history lessons and Jennifer’s crazy stories about her youth.
Do you thinks she would of been good in Coronation Street or somthing?
I do it even more than that. I once had to be hospitalized (pre-Covid) and binge-watched them while hooked up to numerous machines. 'Twas the only thing which allowed me to drift off to sleep. Their voices were extremely comforting. They really twinkled in this interview!
I got introduced to them later in life unfortunately… Clarissa and Jennifer were no longer with us when I discovered them but… I would have considered it an EXTREME honor to have talked to them at least just once. I am thankful they left us so many videos to look back on and keep their memories alive.
I watch them every day…over and over. Best of anything on TV today.
I always loved these two and their cooking show. RIP Jennifer and Clarissa.
Charming hugely funny & unfortunately never will we see the like of these phenomenal ladies again!! RIP you magnificent ladies
There is a part of me that wishes they would do a show like two fat ladies. Not a reboot by any means, you can’t reboot these two they were One of a kind. But something I liked about their show was how they went from location to location throughout the UK. You kind of got to survey the various counties and such, Which for those of us in the states was wonderful because we got to Learn more about the country. I would love to see a show like that again. Two cooks Going from town to town county to county.
Peace to Clarrisa and Jennifer....
Enjoy your life's journey
i can not improve on your comment.
There will NEVER be replaced. NEVER. Clarissa's wit is just...*chef's kiss*
I adored them, they were so REAL!!!
They’ve Gone to Glory 🌈 Sorely Missed 💕
Such beautiful and fun ladies! Oh how I miss them and those times.
I love them! Rip 😔
Funny and great interview. I think I've seen all their cooking show episodes. Love to watch them again and again and again :D
To this day, their program is superior to what passes for entertainment in the past few years.
I would pay serious money to see the footage of Jennifer Patterson singing with the spice girls.
I can’t believe it’s not anywhere to be found on UA-cam or other platforms. =\
Really miss them ! Have their cook books and love the recipes ! Their show was the best !
"Have you only got one ball?" -- superb.
They were terrific! 💙💙💙💙
Jennifer is such a flirt. Love them both. Watch them over and over again.
It's a shame the pilot episode of Two Fat Ladies they made was not released.
Thank you for uploading this love those women!!
What a delight. Thanks!
Love them :)
"I don't call this show 'One Bald Bastard.''" "Have you only got one ball?!" I'm choking 🤣😂
Did you swallow the other one? :p
Missed them so much.
Jennifer Paterson what an amazing lady i just love her personality and look how she leans on the interview desk! haha miss her dearly such a shame she was discovered too late in life.
Have the book its fabulous. Love reading the recipes
"In that case, it's bound to be revolting..." I can totally imagine the scenario based strictly upon the single comment. Cheers! RIP Ladies.
Thank you very much for sharing this. Footage from this show (besides the show itself) is very rare, unfortunately.
I have uploaded their appearance on some Royal Variety thing - dreadful quality, but maybe worth a listen if not a look ;) ua-cam.com/video/pG-b1BtlN5o/v-deo.html
Ah, you made my vegetarian heart skip a beat. Thank you. And when it comes to rare footage, beggars can't be choosers where image/sound quality is concerned. Great clip.
Clive Anderson and Clarrisa Dickson Wright have something in common . They both studied law
He’s holding his own quite well.
There is a quote , never trust a skinny cook. I would have trusted these two wonderful women with my life.
Jennifer was very popular at Taormina in Sicily among the gay men especially. I bet she was a hoot at parties
Jennifer seems to be monopolizing the scene, must have been some tension about this during their partnership. Clarissa must be quite a good sport and willing to play second fiddle. Would have loved more of the cultural time pocket of treasury.
I read Clarissa's autobiography. She said that Jennifer was essentially an alcoholic, whereas Clarissa was a recovering alcoholic. She said it became tiresome for Jennifer to recount the same old stories again and again (due to the drink), so Clarissa had probably heard what Jennifer said here many times before.
I sense a daughterly patience and care from Clarissa for Jennifer. There was a big age gap.
Many people who knew Jennifer well said she required ALL the attention of everyone in whatever room she was in. People loved using her to cater their parties because all she asked for was a large whiskey and a lot of attention.
Is there a video of them
With the spice girls?
They would hate vegans
They called vegans and vegetarians the fluffy bunny brigade.
There not both dead
They are.
Jennifer died just a couple of years after this interview in 1999. Clarissa left us in June 2014. RIP
Ruined it a bit for me to discover that they heartily disliked each other, and when on location stayed at different hotels.
Not true. The rumor that they didn't get on was started by Clarissa's bitter older sister after both Jennifer and Clarissa had passed on.
@@adambomb30 I heard it confirmed by their producer.
@@ransomcoates546 Hearsay is hearsay, even if it's from the producer.
Clarissa in an interview said, (and I watched it) that when they met she wasn’t sure if she liked Jennifer but that when they got in the kitchen they just fell into a wonderful relationship as though they had known each other for years. There you have the story from the true source.
@@adambomb30 Her sister wasn’t bitter she was forthright and honest that Clarissa stole money intended for the 3 siblings when their mother died. She also smeared their father as a wife beater when not a single person who knew the family backed up her claims. How would you feel if your alcoholic sister trashed your dad in the press when he couldn’t defend himself and the. blew through 2.3 million pounds on trying to impress men who wanted nothing to do with her ?? Sorry Jennifer had to put up with her when she clearly could have done the show solo.
