Babish can legit convice anyone to sponsor him, he's turning into a dad on Sunday mornings
He'd be perfect for the role lol
Much better than shilling raid shadow legends
He looks at supplies or equipment he wants or needs and does a sponsor with companies purely to get what he wanted. Playing the long game
A voter suppression sponsor one of the only companies in Georgia to support the new voting laws
I will admit I'm a little bummed he didnt include the home depot theme tbh
When it's nearly midnight and all you want to do is hug some bacon close to your chest
same bro same
what else to want from life
We all want to hug some delicious, beautiful homemade bacon close to our chest as we fall asleep
Just eat it
Secret ingredient is love
dude made an edible and got sponsored by a major nationwide chain a week later. What an absolute legend
i can hear the home depot theme song
is this a episode I missed? Unless you mean sandwich edible then yeah.

"How much saturation do you want on the tomatoes?"
"Yes."
Literally the first thing that made me go 'time to check the comments.'
I read this comment before I reached that part, but nothing could have prepared me for the saturation. 🍅
bro my eyes still hurt
Tomatos are so bright that my brightness increased by 110%
It’s to make it more red than red itself
bro my eyes started burning after that I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed 😂
They upped the contrast to make it look redder. Look at the table in those shots with tomato and then look at the table without it.
Yeah, it was the same color as the blood from my eyes ...
plz babby fix colors ;(
5:48 - Saturation: *yes*
DA.
Imagine telling 2017 Babish he would be sponsored by the Home Depot while making bacon from scratch in less than 5 years
I just did.
"Generously slather our homemade mayo"
Gotta say Babish, in no universe would I call that a generous amount of mayo. It was modest.
Modest nothing that was downright stingy
The opposite of Marco Pierre White's "a little bit of butter" (whole slab)
Yeah, if you can still see the crust of the bread through the mayo, you're being lean about it.
That's the only way I enjoy mayo, personally. I can't stand a sandwich dripping with sauces.
@Maci Glitch GENIUS
Babish owns every single piece of kitchen equipment on the planet
Including the plants
hello
lol
where does he store that stuff man I wonder what his house looks like
Maybe on other planets too, he made space cake afterall...
toasting the inside of the sandwich is smart af, this is the content we deserve
It is my favorite! Soft outside, crispy inside
@@TheSlavChef I'm actually stunned that I haven't hear of doing this before. Will being trying soon!
I actually prefer it with both sides toasted, but with a thick slice of bread so that the middle is still soft.
he didn't toast the inside of the sandwich, he put the toasted side of the bread on the inside of the sandwich! ;) and it is, as you say, smart af indeed!
I thought everyone did this
5:47 i did not know my eyes could hurt this much from a simple contrast change
Me: fasting during Ramadan, have never had pork

This is just becoming How To Make Everything with extra steps.
A guy on youtube called "How to Make Everything" did this, and it cost him $1500.
He said "It tastes... OK."
Part of the reason for that was it's hard to harvest everything at peak freshness/ripeness hence some of the stuff in the sandwich was a bit... decayed.
You forgot the knives he forged at home and the new oven he designed, patented and manufactured
"So we're going to generously slather our home made mayo..."

To be fair it is really easy to do. Even easier if you're not making smoked bacon.
At this point I think basic refers to the ingredients rather than the difficulty.
My brain instantly changed "hush peasant" to "silence bottom"
Don't need to be smoked bacon, in which case it's actually not difficult, just look at his first basic brine.
If you grew tomatoes like those in your backyard in Brooklyn, in April, you need to start yourself a garden show.

Hi. Tip for you - if you flip the top of a ziplock bag inside out it turns the bag into a self standing (ok leaning) receptacle - but more importantly it forms a rough O - keeping the mouth of the bag wide open for ease of entry. It also keeps the seal out of the way and free of debris that can compromise the seal. Hope this helps.

Binging with Babish was my gateway to the world of Pastrami. I’ve made it several times now, and I’m hooked. Getting hooked on Pastrami was my own fault, but now that I am hooked, there is only one thing I want: More Pastrami.

I've been waiting for this episode for the entire two years I've been watching this show with my sister and mom. Took a course on curing and flavoring our own bacon some 8-ish years back and it's a staple around holidays with my family now.

Just made a slab of bacon using your recipe. Mix of spices was black peppercorn, mustard seed, red pepper flakes in the cure, and coarse ground black pepper crust prior to the smoke. Dropped the sugar down by 25%. Fantastic!
Talk about timing! A buddy just made a bunch of...homemade bacon for a group of us last weekend. Incredible stuff! The guanciale one interests me now though!
This dude puts more saturation over his tomato shots than Epic does over Fortnite.
ngl, thought my eyes were trippin when the tomatoes got raytracing
Step one: We start by evolving fish into a state where they can walk on land
yessssss
Step 2: teach a fish to breath on land while also teaching it how to speak 3 different languages
My main takeaway from this episode has got to be toasting the bread on the inside layer, brilliant idea Babby 👌
When I do a bag marinade I just fill the sink up with water and put the batt in slowly until the water pushes out al the air, and then I seal it when the top of the bag is just above the water.
Unless this was filmed last year, I'm having a difficult time believing a guy in NYC has a greenhouse full of home grown tomatoes in April.
Realistically these videos are probably shot months in advance so they can be released on a timely schedule, like it's pretty unlikely that the stump Soula episode where she makes candy and the wheel just happens to stop at scary around Halloween

Sure, you may be able to make a passable sandwich if you start with raising your own swine. However, for a delightfully unctuous BLT, start your olive, oak and chestnut forests now so they can get a few decades of growth in before allowing your pigs to roam for a couple generations.

I can't wait for tomatoes and BLT's.....I have 20 tomato plants in my kitchen that I started from seed back in February. They are all about 12-18 inches tall now. Andrew...you can come and get some this summer if you want, I live in Orange County NY.

Woohoo another recipe that looks amazing that I don’t have the tools to make!
An interesting choice for the color balance on those tomatoes...
I have that same or very similar blender. I recognised the measuring cup/thing
My husband and I are planning on buying a Traeger grill from home depot, too! Saving this....
Look into Louisiana Grills instead. They’re just like Traeger Grills, but they last longer and are made in the USA. We’ve had ours 10 years, use it almost daily and love it.
New Traegers on point... I have the 780 and it gets down! I cooked 80 pounds of pulled pork in a 16 hour period and it did great! I’m smoking 2-3 times a week with it averaging 3-5 hour cooks an it’s the best smoker that can handle the abuse!
We're looking at getting the biggest we can get (I think it's the 1300?) We do a lot of meal prep and we have a lot of family in the area so we're planning on cooking large amounts at one time. I'll look into Louisiana Grills as well and see what I can find!
@@Qwertylol awesome! Yes It’s the timberline 1300! It’s a beautiful grill! double insulated walls, excellent design and it’s all WiFi and I believe it has super smoke as well! The most I’ve been able to put in the 780 is about 40 pounds a meat at one time without having to cut the meat to fit.. when I do ribs it’s about 7 with the last cut in half to fit.. done about 10 tri tips easily.. the 1300 you won’t have a problem fitting enough! Our family’s been Keto/carnivore for a couple years now and I was going thru grills like crazy this one has held up.. my only suggestion would be to clean the grill right after.. it takes me 15mins to vacuum, wipe down the inside replace the grease tray and clean the grates.. then you won’t have to worry about flame ups and the soot building up inside the smoker..
what was going on with the colors during those tomato slicing shots lol
Probably not going to make my own bacon, but definitely going to make BLTs with my mom the next time I go home during tomato season.
I’m a vegetarian but even I have to admit this looks absolutely fantastic.
You should make a series about what you make with this bacon and call it "Bacon with Babish"
