      Why not just make a steak with some sides, making a pinwheel is just unnecessary and seems kind of useless especially with the filling spilling out of it.

      Also, presentation. Sometimes you don't want just a hunk of steak on a plate with vegetables piled beside it.

      Yeah, i can see that i guess but imo steak with sides looks much better than a pinwheel in terms of presentation, it just looks much more elegant.

      Northern mass. Everywhere I know just uses American, but when I worked at a pizza place, I would do half American and half provolone, with some grated parmesan and minced garlic.

      @@JarlBalgruff_ if you'd like to I'd recommend go with chicken or fish first, they're light and easy to eat so it's easier to get used to the flavour than heavier darker meats like pork or beef 👍

      @@JarlBalgruff_ be careful and eat just a little bit at first! Vegetarians don't have the proper enzymes in their stomach to digest meat anymore. You need to slowly reintroduce it so they build back up.
      Im vegan for 10 years before that i was vegetarian but before i became vegan i ate meat again and when i tell you the toilet was my best friend for a week.... Haha my stomach couldn't handle meat at all!

      @@obsidianthurisaz5106 That makes sense, the pieces would be full of tiny cracks with would increase the surface area. That. means more places for heat from the liquids to transfer to the ice, which translates to faster cooling.

    Oh my goodess - I've been trying to wrap my head about this recipe that was only in text form for 2 weeks and gave up.     3:45 - I grill a lot with my family & friends, and after scrubbing, we always use half an onion dipped in oil to season the grill instead of paper! Besides doing a great job with scrubbing off any excess char, it gives off an amazing smell that really gets you ready to eat.

    I made this for the wife and I tonight. I used spinach, onion, mushroom with provolone stuffing. Instead of pinwheels I left it whole. Turned out absolutely awesome!! Thank again Andy for making me a kitchen hero.

    Your cocktail looks delicious - one thing I'd change is instead of infusing the syrup with ginger, I'd make candied ginger and use the leftover ginger tea to make a syrup - that way you have a great snack and garnish for your cocktail!

      Save your pennies and buy a thermoworks thermopop! Same accuracy as the thermapen but is only $35. It's just a little slower. Though the thermapen Mk4 is on sale right now for a great price. No, I don't get paid to say this, I just really, really like their thermometers.

      Go to the store and get a less fancy brand thermometer, you can get an instant read digital for like 15-20$. It's maybe 2s slower in reading time but who cares, as long as it's accurate
      I've even seen oven thermometers (the one with wires that you can leave and forget) for 13$

    Flank steak is one of my favourite cuts of meat - it has a fairly strong taste and it’s awesome as “just a steak” as well. Either pure or having been dunked in homemade marinade for a couple of hours.

    @2:00 If you want an easy way to get thin slices of any hard cheese, use a vegetable peeler to make thin slices. Use it just like you're peeling a carrot or potato and enjoy!

    The way my dad and I do them is with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and feta cheese. Normally with a small caprese salad on the side.

      I went to my butcher and saw he had placed two prime cuts off beef up on a shelf. At least 9 feet up. He said if I can reach them, I get them for free, but if not I pay double.
      I reply: "I'm sorry butcher, the steaks are too high"

    You could probably sear in a pan before tossing on the grill to keep the mess down a bit. It would also lock in the flavors a bit more as a direct heat from the pan sears it faster.

    I just tried mexican oregano after 57 years of using what was on the spice shelve in the grocery store. I never tasted anything better. Love the fragrance and flavor. Threw away my other oregano.

    thisis the first time I've ever known of this dish and I would really want to get my hands on making it! (Even with the lack of grill). I believe it is certainly delicious with the balance of veggies and meat😋
